The Palazzo Contrari is a building of mediaeval origin located in Ferrara in Via Contrari (named after the ancient and noble Contrari family), at no. 5, in the city centre, next to the Palazzo di San Crispino. Via Contrari is a parallel to via Mazzini, once the main thoroughfare of the Jewish Ghetto.

The palazzo di San Crispino, also known as the oratorio dei calzolai o di San Crispino, is located in Piazza Trento e Trieste, on the corner of via Mazzini and via Contrari in Ferrara.

The Palazzo Paradiso is a Renaissance palace located on Via Scienze #17 in the medieval center of Ferrara, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Adjacent to the historic Jewish ghetto of Ferrara, it houses: Anatomical Theater of Ferrara Sala Ariosto—mausoleum of the writer Ludovico Ariosto Biblioteca Comunale Ariostea—a historical library and archive of Ferrara

The Palazzo Bevilacqua-Costabili is a Renaissance palace located on Via Voltapaletto 11 in central Ferrara, Region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It should not be confused with the Palazzo Bevilacqua in Verona (begun 1529), designed by Michele Sanmicheli.

The Biblioteca Comunale Ariostea is located in the Palazzo Paradiso in central Ferrara, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It was named Ariostea, because the collection contains manuscripts related to the author, and within the palace also lies the tomb of Ludovico Ariosto.

Ferrara Cathedral (Italian: Basilica Cattedrale di San Giorgio, Duomo di Ferrara) is a Roman Catholic cathedral and minor basilica in Ferrara, Northern Italy. Dedicated to Saint George, the patron saint of the city, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Ferrara and the largest religious building in the city. The cathedral stands in the city centre, not far from the Palazzo Comunale and the famous Castello Estense and is connected to the Archbishop's Palace by a covered passage.

The Palazzo Pendaglia is a 15th-century, Gothic-style palace located at Via Sogari #3, in Ferrara, Italy. In 2015, it houses an institute for training restaurant and hotel staff (Istituto Alberghiero "Orio Vergani"). Commissioned by the aristocratic Pendaglia family, in the 18th century it became property of the commune. During the Napoleonic era, it served as barracks, but has served as dormitory, nursing home, and school. The building has suffered from fires and demolitions, but still maintains some 15th-century frescoes and decoration. The sober brick facade has an ogival portal.

The Palazzo della Ragione of Ferrara was located in Piazza Trento e Trieste on the corner of Corso Porta Reno. It was built between 1315 and 1325, modified several times and finally demolished after the fire that destroyed it in 1945. A new palace was built in its place, designed by Marcello Piacentini.

The Archiepiscopal palace of Ferrara, commissioned by the cardinal legates Tommaso Ruffo, was built in its recent form starting from 1717. It is located in Corso Martiri della Libertà next to the Cathedral of San Giorgio.

The Palazzo Roverella is a Renaissance-style palace located at the corner of Corso della Giovecca #47, at the intersection with Via Boldini, in Ferrara, Italy. The design and construction of the palace (1508) is attributed to Biagio Rossetti, as commissioned by Gaetano Magnanini, secretary of Duke Alfonso I d'Este. It is built at the land utilized to build the urban expansion of the Addizione Erculea. The palace became property of the Roverella family in the 19th century. The varying rhythm of placement of the windows; and the grotteschi-decorated terra-cotta pilasters with geometric marble bases, give the facade an early-Mannerist-style. Above the pilasters are relief busts.The palace should not be confused with a Palazzo Roverella, Rovigo, also attributed to Rossetti, and which now serves as the town painting gallery.

The Torre della Vittoria is a historical building in Ferrara that complements the Palazzo Municipale and at the same time stands apart from it in terms of its size, its reconstruction centuries after the fall of the tower previously located in the same position, and the celebrations that explicitly referred to it in Fascist-era films. It is located on the corner of Piazza Trento e Trieste and Via Cortevecchia, at the beginning of Corso Martiri della Libertà.

The Municipal Palace of Ferrara is located in Piazza del Municipio 2. It was the ducal residence of the Este family until the 16th century, when the court moved to the nearby Castello Estense. It is the seat of the municipality of Ferrara.
