The Ministry of Interior building (Arabic: مبنى وزارة الداخلية) is a 55-meter high six-story government building in the al-Olaya district of Riyadh that houses the main headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia. The building is a popular landmark in the city and is known for its inverted truncated square pyramid design surmounted by a dome, earning it nicknames like the Flying Saucer and the Spaceship by Western visitors. Designed by Archisystems and architects Musalli, Shakir and Mandill, it was constructed between 1980 and 1989 by Hyundai E&C.

Alfaisal University is a private university in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located in the compound enclosing the vicinity of the al-Ma'dhar Palace. Established in 2002, the institute offers courses in various subjects up to post graduation and is named after King Faisal bin Abdulalziz. It was founded in 2002 by the King Faisal Foundation. The first students were admitted in 2008. Alfaisal's total enrollment now exceeds 2500. The enrollment is 67% Saudi National with the remaining 33% being students from over 40 other nations. The total number of faculty is nearly 200 with international faculty from 31 countries. The Board of Trustees includes representatives from five firms, four international firms, and a representative from the Ministry of Education.

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (Arabic: مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي ومركز الأبحاث) (KFSH&RC) is a tertiary referral hospital in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia.

Nasiriyah Gate (Arabic: بوابة الناصرية) is an arch-monument in the al-Nassiriyah neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Built in the 1950s, the gate served as the eastern entrance to the al-Nassiriyah Palace complex. It covers an area of 20.7 acres and incorporates some elements of Islamic and modernist architecture. The monument was built in the 1950s as part of the construction of al-Nassiriyah Palace complex during the reign of King Saud bin Abdulaziz. With much of the original palace structure being demolished by 1967, the gateway survived and was later restored in the 1970s by the Riyadh Municipality. The monument is today situated nearby the King Saud Square, opposite to the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the intersection of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Street and al-Nasiriyah Street.

The King Fahd National Library (KFNL, Arabic: مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية) is the legal deposit and copyright library for Saudi Arabia. KFNL was established in 1983 in response to an initiative made by the people of Riyadh when King Fahd ascended the throne. The project was announced in 1983 and the implementation started in 1986. Now to this day, the library is known for its sustainability and up-to-date energy concepts.

Riyadh TV Tower (Arabic: برج تلفزيون الرياض) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a 170-meter-high (560 ft) television tower located in the al-Wisham neighborhood of Riyadh. It was built from 1978 to 1981 and surpassed the Riyadh Water Tower as the tallest building in Saudi Arabia. It is one of the major landmarks of the city.

Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC) also known as Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital is located in Riyadh City, the capital of Saudi Arabia, considered one of the most advanced centres in the Middle East. It is located in the heart of Riyadh. At a distance of approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the city centre and easily accessible to the general population. PSMMC is part of the Medical Services Department (MSD) of the Ministry of Defense (MOD).

Bangladesh International School, English Section, Riyadh (BISES, Riyadh) is a school located in the Olaya district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It follows the British Curriculum. The school has two sections: The Junior section: Grade KG to Grade 2 (coeducation) The Secondary/Higher section: Grade 3 to Grade 12 (with separate boys and girls sections)

Al-Wisham (Arabic: الوشام, lit. 'the tattoos') is a neighbourhood in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located west of al-Futah and north of Umm Sulaim in the sub-municipality of al-Shumaisi. The district emerged in the 1940s when King Abdulaziz ibn Saud built palaces for his son, Prince Mansour bin Abdulaziz. It was later incorporated into the capital metropolis during its multiple phases of expansion between 1950s and 1970s. It hosts the Riyadh TV Tower, one of the city's major landmarks.

Haara al-Wazarat (Arabic: حارة الوزارات, lit. 'the ministries quarter'), or Hayy al-Wazarat (Arabic: حي الوزارات, lit. 'the ministries neighborhood'), colloquially known as Hara (Arabic: حارة, lit. 'quarter'), is a low-income residential neighborhood in central Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located west of al-Dhubbat and south of al-Sulaimaniyah in the sub-municipality of al-Malaz. It was developed in the 1970s and hosts some of the country's government buildings, most notably the offices of the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Saudi Navy. It is the heart of the city's Indian Hyderabadi Muslim community and has also been overwhelmingly inhabited by overseas workers from Pakistan and Bangladesh since the 1980s. Al Wazarat was developed in the 1970s as a housing project for government employees working for the ministries located on the Old Airport Road (now King Abdulaziz Road). As Saudis began abandoning the area in search of new localities by the 1980s, it was subsequently tenanted by skilled foreign workers from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh who began arriving in the country soon after 1973 energy crisis and subsequent oil boom.

ʽUlaysha Prison (also ʽUlaisha, Alisha, Olisha, سجن عليشة) is a prison in Riyadh run by the Saudi Arabian secret police agency Mabahith for arbitrary detention. During the 2011 Saudi Arabian protests, "the only brave man in Saudi Arabia", Khaled al-Johani, was held in ʽUlaysha Prison and it is suspected that several founding members of the Umma Islamic Party are being held there.

Al Faisaliah Tower (Arabic: برج الفيصلية) is a pyramid-shaped commercial skyscraper and mixed-use complex located in the al-Olaya district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 267-metre-high office tower, the centerpiece of the Foster + Partners development, it is notable for having been the first skyscraper built in Saudi Arabia, and for the monumental stained glass wall of its lobby, designed by architectural artist Brian Clarke in collaboration with Norman Foster. It was the largest building in Saudi Arabia between 2000 and 2002 and currently is the seventh tallest building in the country, after Kingdom Centre, Burj Rafal and Abraj Al Bait. The tower is named after King Faisal bin Abdulaziz, and presently ranks as the 325th tallest building in the world.
