Jackson's Point

The Briars is an Ontario lakeside resort located in the Jackson's Point area of Georgina, Ontario. Portions of the resort are protected by an Ontario Heritage Trust conservation easement. The Manor House and the Peacock House are the protected sections; this excludes the rear (west) elevation and the landscaped grounds to the east of the Manor House.

Sutton District High School is a public high school in the York Region District School Board with approximately 500 students. It is located in Sutton, Ontario, Canada and serves Grade 9 to 12 students. It is the primary secondary school for most communities in the town of Georgina, including Sutton West, Pefferlaw, and Udora. It had previously served the town's largest community, Keswick, but this changed with the opening of Keswick High School in 2000.

Sutton is a suburban community located nearly 2 km south of Lake Simcoe in Ontario, Canada. The community was formerly a village but is now part of the Town of Georgina after amalgamation with it and North Gwillimbury in 1971. The Black River runs on the north end of the downtown. Highway 48 goes just south of the downtown. Sutton has a population of just over 6,000 people. Sutton is located about 1 hour north of Toronto.Sutton has a population of 5,938 (2011), which is a -1.4% decrease since 2006.

Georgina (Canada 2016 Census population 45,418) is a town in south-central Ontario, and the northernmost municipality in the Regional Municipality of York. The town is bounded to the north by Lake Simcoe. Although incorporated as a town, it operates as a township in which dispersed communities share a common administrative council. The largest communities are Keswick, Sutton and Jackson's Point. Smaller communities include Pefferlaw, Port Bolster, Roches Point, Udora and Willow Beach. The town was formed by the merger of the Village of Sutton, the Township of Georgina and the Township of North Gwillimbury in 1971 and incorporated in 1986. North Gwillimbury had previously been part of Georgina but became its own township in 1826. It took its name from the family of Elizabeth Simcoe, née Gwillim.

The Black River is a river in the Regional Municipality of York and the Regional Municipality of Durham in Central Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Great Lakes Basin, and is a tributary of Lake Simcoe; the entire watershed is under the auspices of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

Baldwin West Aerodrome (TC LID: CBW8) is a registered aerodrome located adjacent to Baldwin, Ontario, Canada.

St. George's Anglican Church is a Neo-Gothic stone church located in Georgina listed under the Ontario Heritage Act.

Sibbald Point Provincial Park is a provincial park located in Sutton West, Ontario, Canada on the southern shores of Lake Simcoe, 70 kilometres (43 mi) north of Toronto. The park is located to the east of the vacation town of Jackson's Point, and The Briars Resort and Country Club which was still owned by the Sibbald family until it was sold in 2017.Sibbald Point Provincial Park has long sand beaches, sunny and shaded campsites, large grassy picnic areas and a forested hiking trail. The Sibbald family sold the property in 1951 to the County of York and it was open as a County Park until 1956 when the County conveyed it to the Province. The property was then renamed as Sibbald Point Provincial Park and opened in 1957. Two of the major attractions in the park were constructed by the Sibbald family during the nineteenth century. The family home was purchased by Susan Sibbald from Major William Kingdom Rains in 1835. She supervised its transformation from a small cottage into a rural estate, a process which was completed in the 1840s. She named the structure Eildon Hall after the family estate in Scotland. Today the building serves as a museum dedicated to life in rural Ontario during the mid-nineteenth century. The museum is also known as the Sibbald Memorial Museum. An Ontario Historical Plaque was erected by the province to commemorate Eildon Hall's role in Ontario's heritage. Another important structure located adjacent to the park is St. George's Anglican Church. The church was built by Susan Sibbald's sons to replace an existing small wooden church, and was dedicated as a memorial to her. Completed in 1877, it ministers to the community to this day. Attached to the church is a small cemetery which contains the graves of many prominent citizens of the Lake Simcoe area including writers Stephen Leacock and Mazo de la Roche as well as musician Jim Schwalm. The park has camping facilities that are booked via Ontario Parks website.

Baldwin Airport (TC LID: CPB9) is a registered aerodrome located 0.3 nautical miles (0.56 km; 0.35 mi) east of Baldwin, Ontario, Canada. Baldwin Airport is home to the Parachute School of Toronto, which is the only skydiving club in Ontario that runs year round.

Snake Island is a lake island located in Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. After the War of 1812, these islands, along with Fox Island and Georgina Island were purchased by Chief Joseph Snake (a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation) from the British. The islands used to be headquarters to his father Chief Renatus Snake.Like Georgina Island and Fox Island, Snake Island is inhabited by band members with homes located along the shores of the island. There are no roads and old dirt trails connecting the residents. The only means to reach the island is by private boats to docks in front of the homes. Winter travel is by snowmobile and ATV as the lake freezes over. The interior of the island is covered by trees. From the 1940s until at least the mid 1970s, a girls' camp, Camp Centennial, occupied a large piece of property facing the mainland village of Island Grove. Vern and Marion Hickingbottom purchased the camp in the early 1950s from the founding owners, named Henderson, who remained in a cottage next to the camp for many years. Local first nations people from the Porte, Bigcanoe and McCue families worked at the camp and operated a popular tuck shop on the island; many participated in the annual Snake Island Regatta.

CFGI-FM is a Canadian radio station, airing at 92.3 FM in Georgina Island, Ontario. Licensed by the CRTC in 2001, the station airs a community radio format for the area's First Nations community. The station originally began broadcasting at 102.7 FM. On March 15, 2013, the CRTC approved the station's application to move from 102.7, to 92.3 MHz, and by increasing the ERP from 250 to 650 watts on a non-directional antenna, and the EHAAT from 19.3 to 24 metres. The frequency change was in response to CFGI-FM being first-adjacent to a new radio station, ZoomerMedia's CFMO-FM in nearby Collingwood, which would have caused significant interference between the two stations. In response to this, ZoomerMedia entered into an agreement with Georgina Island First Nations, in which ZoomerMedia agreed to supply CFGI-FM with new transmitting equipment, refurbish its transmitting antenna and cover the costs related to preparing applications for the CRTC.

Fox Island is one of the islands that are located in Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. The island is part of the Georgina township alongside the other three islands in Georgina (unlike Thorah Island which is part of Brock township). Fox Island is about 0.2 square kilometers or 48 acres. There are some cottages on the island. There are no paved roads on the island but there are some footpaths. The only way to access the island is by boat.
