A suspect was arrested a few days later, and the shooting was thought to have racial overtones.

It services nearby attractions such as Bachman Lake and surrounding neighborhoods. This is the last shared stop outbound between the Green and Orange Lines before the Orange Line branches off to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Because of this, it is one of the only three-track DART stations.

At the Western end of the lake, DART provides transit service at Bachman Station, including light rail service via the Green Line and Orange Line.

University of Dallas station is DART Light Rail station in Irving, Texas. It serves the Orange Line. The station opened in July 2012 and serves the adjacent University of Dallas. The station also has an above-ground Bus Plaza for rail passengers to transfer to/from their bus routes.
