Marymont is a historic mansion in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1860-1861 for Hiram Jenkins. In 1878, it was inherited by his niece, Nimmie Jenkins, and her husband, Dr. J. J. Rucker. They named the house after their daughter, Mary Rucker.The house was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style, with Roman Revival finishes. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since October 30, 1973.

Riverdale High School is a public high school operated by the Rutherford County School system located in the southwestern part of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It is on Warrior Drive which intersects with South Church Street (US 231 South). Riverdale is one of the older high schools in Murfreesboro, along with Oakland High School which was also built in 1972. These schools were constructed to replace the outdated former Murfreesboro Central High School, which was then converted to a junior high school (later middle school) facility. It is home to 12 academic departments, 40 extracurricular clubs, and 19 TSSAA athletic teams.

The Stones River Greenway Arboretum is an arboretum located along the Stones River Greenway, beside the Stones River, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The arboretum contains species native to the area, many were originally on the site when it was established. Species include hardwoods at the higher elevations, and softwoods in the lower areas. Construction of The Avenue began in July 2006, and the first phase of development opened on October 17, 2007, with 660,000 square feet (61,000 m2) of retail space available. A second phase completed the center with a total of 811,000 square feet (75,300 m2) at US$140 million.The Avenue was jointly developed and operated by Cousins Properties and Faison Enterprises; however, in August 2013 The Avenue was sold to Houston-based Hines Global REIT Inc. for US$163 million. This was a record price for an open-air, non-mall in Tennessee.As of June 30, 2013, eighty-five percent of the space had been leased.

Built in 1992, it was expanded and renovated in the late 2000s. The mall comprises more than fifty stores. The mall is owned and managed by Sterling Organization. The anchor stores are Shoe Carnival, Books-A-Million, Electronic Express, AMC Theatres, Strike & Spare, JCPenney, and Dillard's.

Blackman High School is a high school located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States which is operated by the Rutherford County Schools. The school was established in 2000 to complement the existing Blackman Elementary School.
