Ben C. Rain High School is a high school located in Mobile, Alabama. In 2022 the school was 89 percent African American, six percent Hispanic, and four percent White. Ninety percent of students were economically disadvantaged and the school's tests scores were well below state and district averages. Velma L. Blackwell was its first African American teacher in 1967. Red Raiders are the mascot. Its footvall team conpetes in 5A. Brent Dearmon coached at the school. Rick Pietri also coached at the school. In 2023, a stadium was built for the school. It is named for teacher, coach, and principal Ben Glover.

The plant is an assembly and delivery site for Airbus commercial aircraft in the United States and one of the largest employment centers in the state. The site is one of four final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A320neo family and one of two final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A220.

The Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley is an industrial complex and airport in Mobile, Alabama, United States, which lies adjacent to the western shore of Mobile Bay. It is owned and operated by the Mobile Airport Authority. It was known by a variety of names until being renamed in 2010 as the Brookley Aeroplex. In the fall of 2013, the Brookley Aeroplex was rebranded as the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley.

The Dog River is a river in Mobile County, Alabama. The Dog River watershed drains more than 90 square miles (230 km2). The river is about 8 miles (13 km) long and is influenced by tides. It originates at 30.64158°N 88.09666°W / 30.64158; -88.09666 within the city of Mobile. It discharges into Mobile Bay, a tidal estuary on the northern Gulf of Mexico, at 30.56491°N 88.08833°W / 30.56491; -88.08833 near Hollinger's Island. It was named by the original French colonists as the Riviere Au Chien, which can be translated into English as Dog River. Dog River is a brackish river - a mixture of fresh and saltwater. Also known to be a shallow river with the average depth at around 9–12 feet deep with some areas along the wetlands being only 1–2 feet at mid-tide. There are both fresh and salt water fish species including bass, bream, mullet, redfish, croakers, speckled trout and flounder. Most land connected to the river is privately owned however there are several parks and public boat launch areas. Boaters can refuel at the marinas located at the river's mouth. Saint Matthew's Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic church building in Mobile, Alabama. It was built in the Mediterranean Revival style in 1913, shortly after its parish was founded. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 3, 1991, as a part of the Historic Roman Catholic Properties in Mobile Multiple Property Submission.

The Mobile River is located in southern Alabama in the United States. Formed out of the confluence of the Tombigbee and Alabama rivers, the approximately 45-mile-long (72 km) river drains an area of 44,000 square miles (110,000 km2) of Alabama, with a watershed extending into Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee. Its drainage basin is the fourth-largest of primary stream drainage basins entirely in the United States. The river has historically provided the principal navigational access for Alabama. Since construction of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, it also provides an alternative route into the Ohio River watershed. The Tombigbee and Alabama River join to form the Mobile River approximately 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Mobile, along the county line between Mobile and Baldwin counties. The combined stream flows south, in a winding course. Approximately 6 miles (10 km) downstream from the confluence, the channel of the river divides, with the Mobile flowing along the western channel. The Tensaw River, a bayou of the Mobile River, flows alongside to the east, separated from 2 to 5 miles (3 to 8 km) as they flow southward. The Mobile River flows through the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta and reaches Mobile Bay on the Gulf of Mexico just east of downtown Mobile.

The Miller–O'Donnell House was a historic residence in Mobile, Alabama. The two-story house was built in 1837 in the Gulf Coast Cottage style. It featured a masonry brick ground floor with a wood-frame main floor above. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 19, 1982, but has since been destroyed.

The Oakdale Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. Oakdale is located south of downtown, and developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It consists of 511 acres (207 ha) and about 1200 buildings, most of which are middle-class one- and two-story houses. Early development was closest to the trolley lines on Broad Street, Washington Avenue, Marine Street, and Ann Street. The houses reflect the nationally popular styles of their times, including Victorian, Classical Revival, Four square, Craftsman, and Minimal Traditional, and also local styles such as Gulf Coast Cottages (Miller–O'Donnell House). Several churches are also in the district, such as the Neoclassical St. Matthew's Catholic Church. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Mobile Jockey Club was an American sporting organization founded prior to 1836 in Mobile, Alabama.

Ahavas Chesed Cemetery, is a historic Jewish cemetery located in Mobile, Alabama. It was established by the Ahavas Chesed congregation in 1898. It covers about 2 acres (0.81 ha) of land in a narrow strip that adjoins the Sha'arai Shomayim Cemetery.
