Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, located in Houston, Texas, is one of seven community hospitals that are part of Houston Methodist. It employs more than 2,100 people, has an estimated 1,000 affiliated doctors and admits more than 18,000 patients annually. The hospital serves communities in and around Northwest Houston.

As of October 2021, it has 688 students. 255 are in elementary school (K-5), 182 are in middle school (6–8), and 251 are in high school (9–12). In 2021, the school won the prestigious TAPPS 4A Henderson Cup, naming Cypress Christian School the top 4A private school in Texas.

Willowbrook Mall is an enclosed regional mall in Willowbrook, Houston, Texas at the intersection of Texas State Highway 249 and Farm to Market Road 1960. The mall has 6 anchor stores: Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's, J. C. Penney, Macy's, and Nordstrom Rack. In 2000, the mall was the 3rd largest Houston-area retail development based on net rentable area.

Ken Pridgeon Stadium is an outdoor American football stadium located in Houston, Texas. The stadium was built in 1977 and, along with Cy-Fair FCU Stadium, serves as the home field for all Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District varsity football games, and soccer games. Cy-Fair ISD Stadium was renamed Ken Pridgeon Pridgeon Stadium in 1994, in honor of Oran Kenneth Pridgeon, who served as Cy-Fair ISD Athletic Director from 1967 to 1998. In May 2014, as part of a US$1.2 billion bond referendum, the stadium received $40 million for upgrades and renovations that are scheduled to be completed in two parts. Early renovations included parking lot improvements of LED lighting, new concrete in parking and driveways in the complex, as well as underground drainage. Later renovations, completed between December 2016 and January 2017, include a new natatorium expected to seat 950 people, a new two-story press box, new ticket booths, restrooms, concessions stand, and an elevator that goes up to the press box. Lone Star College–University Park is one of two university centers in the Lone Star College System located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas. The campus serves northwest Harris County. The center opened its doors in January 2010 with limited degree programs and courses offered by the University of Houston and the University of Houston–Downtown, both of which are separate and distinct degree-granting institutions. The campus includes a conference center, which will be used for Lone Star Corporate College training and community meetings; a 900-seat, fully equipped cafeteria; and a fitness center.Lone Star had purchased the facility from Hewlett Packard in 2010. In August 2011 Lone Star College announced that it was demolishing two former HP buildings on the campus, at the intersection of Texas State Highway 249 and Louetta Road. The agency said that it would use implosion rather than traditional wrecking ball demolition. The implosion occurred on September 18, 2011, and the land formerly occupied by the buildings will be used as green space.In 2018, the University Park campus opened its new $15.4 million Center for Science & Innovation. It was officially dedicated on May 2, 2018. The building is a three-story, 50,000 square feet with 12 science labs, and indoor 3D geology teaching wall, and third floor observation deck, and a "Science HotSpot" Learning Commons.In 2018, the campus began work on a new $23.7 million building for the performing and visual arts, to be opened in 2019.

Houston Adventist Academy, previously known as The Oaks Adventist Christian School, is a private Christian school located in Cypress, an area in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, with PreKindergarten (4 year old) through twelfth grade. It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.

Champions Golf Club is a 36-hole private golf club located in Houston, Texas. Established in 1957 by multiple major champions Jack Burke Jr. and Jimmy Demaret, who were both raised in the city, Champions carries a long history for Houston golf. Burke (b.1923) won the Masters and PGA Championship in 1956 and Demaret (1910–1983) was the first to win three Masters (1940, 1947, 1950). The Cypress Creek course was designed by Ralph Plummer and opened for play 64 years ago in 1959. It was the site of the 1967 Ryder Cup, 1969 U.S. Open, five PGA Tour Championships, and the U.S. Amateur in 1993. It also hosted the Houston Champions International on the PGA Tour five times, which is now the Houston Open. In 2018, the Cypress Creek course temporarily closed for a renovation in advance of hosting the 2020 US Women's Open. The renovation was completed by architect Chet Williams, known for his work across Texas including the design of Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, TX. The second course is the Jackrabbit course, which is used in qualifying rounds for the various USGA Championships the club has hosted, while Cypress Creek is the primary tournament venue. In 2020, golfers for the U. S. Women's Open played the first or second round at Jackrabbit with the other rounds at Cypress Creek because of the December tournament date caused by a global pandemic. The Jackrabbit course opened in 1964 and was designed by George Fazio, later renovated by nephew Tom Fazio. The competitive course record at Cypress Creek is held by Chad Campbell, who shot a 10-under-par 61 in the third round en route to winning the Tour Championship in 2003, the last held at Champions.

The 2020 U.S. Women's Open was the 75th U.S. Women's Open, played December 10–14 at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas, having been postponed from its original date of June 4–7, 2020, on April 3, 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was played on both the Cypress Creek and Jackrabbit courses.The U.S. Women's Open is the oldest of the five major championships and is the fourth of the 2020 season. It has the largest purse in women's golf at $5.5 million. Kim A-lim won the tournament by birdieing the last three holes.

The 1969 U.S. Open was the 69th U.S. Open, held June 12–15 at the Cypress Creek Course of Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas. Orville Moody won his only PGA Tour title, one stroke ahead of runners-up Deane Beman, Bob Rosburg, and Al Geiberger. A 14-year veteran of the U.S. Army, Moody entered the final round in second place, three shots behind Miller Barber. At age 35, Moody advanced through both local and sectional qualifying in 1969, and as of 2021 is the last champion to do so. It was his only win on the PGA Tour, with only one additional top-10 finish in a major, two months later at the PGA Championship. Battling an ailing knee, defending champion Lee Trevino (of Texas) missed the cut by a stroke; he won the title again in 1971. The Cypress Creek Course hosted the Houston Champions International event on the PGA Tour, today's Houston Open, from 1966 through 1971, and the Ryder Cup in 1967. It later hosted The Tour Championship five times (1990, 1997, 1999, 2001, and 2003) and the U.S. Amateur in 1993.

The 17th Ryder Cup Matches were held October 20–22, 1967 at the Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas. The United States team won the competition by a record score of 231⁄2 to 81⁄2 points. To date, the 15-point victory margin remains the largest at the Ryder Cup.Ben Hogan was named the captain of the U.S. team in May 1967, five months before the matches. He opted for the U.S. team to use the smaller British golf ball; the same weight, its diameter was .06 inches (1.5 mm) smaller at 1.62 inches (4.11 cm).The match had originally been arranged for June 9–11, a date that the British P.G.A. had reluctantly agreed to, as it interfered with the British tournament season. In April 1966, it was agreed that the dates be changed to October 20–22.The course hosted the U.S. Open two years later in 1969.
