New Milford Hospital, (founded 1921) is a not-for profit hospital in Litchfield County, Connecticut which serves western and northwestern Connecticut and parts of southeastern New York state. Services provided by the 85-bed hospital include emergency care, one-day surgery, orthopedics, and radiological imaging. The hospital also contains a cancer center and center for sleep medicine. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission, the American Osteopathic Association's Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and accredited with commendation by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. It also earned status as an accredited Breast Center from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers in 2011.From 1995 to 2010, New Milford Hospital was an affiliate of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System. Effective October 1, 2010, New Milford Hospital and Danbury Hospital formed the Western Connecticut Health Network, a regional health system.In April 2019, it was announced that Western Connecticut Health Network would be merging with Health Quest to form Nuvance Health.

New Milford is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The town is in western Connecticut, 14 miles (23 km) north of Danbury, on the banks of the Housatonic River. It is the largest town in the state in terms of land area at nearly 62 square miles (161 km2). The population was 28,115 according to the 2020 census. The town center is listed as a census-designated place (CDP). The northern portion of the town is part of the region of northwestern Connecticut, and the far eastern portions are part of the Litchfield Hills region. It is located roughly 50 miles (80 km) west of Hartford, 65 miles (105 km) southwest of Springfield, Massachusetts, 85 miles (137 km) southeast of Albany, New York, and 63 miles (101 km) northeast of New York City.

The United Bank Building is a historic commercial building at 19–21 Main Street in downtown New Milford, Connecticut. Designed by Wilson Potter and built 1902–04, it is a prominent local example of Classical Revival architecture, built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed in a devastating fire. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and is a contributing element of the New Milford Center Historic District.

The E.A. Wildman & Co. Tobacco Warehouse is a historic commercial/industrial building at 34 Bridge Street (United States Route 202) in New Milford, Connecticut. Built in 1870, it is the oldest of the surviving tobacco warehouses in the town, which was a major tobacco processing center in the region. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The building has most recently served as a hotel.

The Merritt Beach & Son Building is a historic commercial building at 30 Bridge Street in New Milford, Connecticut. Built in 1873, it is one of the town's oldest surviving commercial buildings. It was built for Merritt Beach & Son, a lumber and hardware merchant that is one of its oldest continuously operating businesses (although it is no longer at this site). The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

New Milford station is a former railroad station on Railroad Street in New Milford, Connecticut. Built in 1886 by the Housatonic Railroad Company, it cemented the town's importance as a regional tourist and business center. It served passenger service until 1971, and is now home to the Greater New Milford chamber of commerce. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Carl F. Schoverling Tobacco Warehouse is a historic industrial storage building at 1 Wellsville Avenue in New Milford, Connecticut. Also known locally as the Flatiron Building, it was built in 1897 by one of the region's leading tobacco processing businesses, and is one of only two such buildings to surviving from period in the town. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The J. S. Halpine Tobacco Warehouse is a historic tobacco warehouse at West and Mill Streets in New Milford, Connecticut. Built c. 1900–02 for one of the area's leading tobacco processors, it is a reminder of tobacco's historic economic importance in northwestern Connecticut. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It has been converted to residential use.

Harris Hill Farm is a family-owned farmstead in New Milford, Litchfield County, Connecticut. It began as a dairy farm on Prospect Street in Wethersfield. George W. Harris was among the first farmers to import a specific breed of Brown Swiss dairy cattle to the United States. He acquired his first Brown Swiss in 1882, and the farm made its first exhibition of the breed at the Charter Oak Fair in Hartford in 1883. The farm was moved in 1957 by George G. and Vivian Harris to New Milford.They farmed the land and ran a successful Brown Swiss cattle breeding program. Harris Hill Brown Swiss were shown and sold nationally and internationally. In 1981 George G. Harris started working for the National Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Association at which time his future son-in-law took over the dairy operation. Harris Hill Farm was a working dairy farm until 1987. Upon George G's retirement, the Harris family started a pumpkin patch. George, Vivian, their children and grandchildren all contributed to the operation. Upon the death of George G and Vivian Harris, the next generation of The Harris Family (George O, Susan, and Janet) continues Harris Hill Farm. In 2012 the Harris Family sold the development rights to 79 acres of the farm to the Town of New Milford and State of Connecticut. Hay is produced by the family, a local farmer leases fields to grow feed corn, another local farmer leases pastures to raise sheep and The New Milford Youth Agency uses one field to raise garden vegetables for their summer program. The Harris Family continues to own and operate the Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch each October.

Sarah Noble Intermediate School is an intermediate school located in the historic town of New Milford, Connecticut. The school was named after Anglo-American girl Sarah Noble. In 1707, John Noble Sr., previously of Westfield, Massachusetts and his eight-year-old daughter Sarah Noble were the first Anglo-American settlers.

Sunny Valley Preserve is 1,850 acres (750 ha) composed of nature preserve parcels in New Milford, Connecticut and Bridgewater, Connecticut, Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. as well as one agricultural operation (farm). Sunny Valley Preserve is owned by The Nature Conservancy. The farm and offices are located at the intersection of Sunny Valley Road and Lane approximately 8 miles (13 km) north of Danbury, Connecticut.
