Legg Mason Tower is a 24-story glass high-rise located at 100 International Drive in Baltimore's Harbor East development. Completed in May 2009, the 650,000-square-foot (60,000 m2) waterfront skyscraper was developed by Harbor East Development Group, and reaches a height of 360.5 feet (109.9 m). It was designed by Beatty Harvey Coco Architects with HKS Architects, and is situated at the edge of the city's Inner Harbor. This Class-A office building serves as the new headquarters for asset management firm Legg Mason, which moved from what was the Legg Mason Building at 100 Light Street.It is also known as the home campus of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. The building is part of a mixed-use development with its neighbor, the Four Seasons Hotel, which was completed and opened in 2011. It is Pre-Certified Silver under the LEED Core and Shell Program, and was one of six developments recognized by the Urban Land Institute Wavemaker Award in 2009.

Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is a 30-story highrise hotel and condominium complex in Baltimore, Maryland. The hotel portion of the building opened on November 14, 2011. The building's construction began in 2007 and went through several changes. Developers originally planned the project as two towers, with a portion for residences. The hotel occupies just one of the towers, with the second being used as the Legg Mason Tower. A residential portion, comprising eight additional floors of condo units, began construction in 2014. The eight additional floors took almost four years to complete, adding an additional 62 residential units atop the existing hotel portion, separated by a mechanical floor.Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore has a total of 256 rooms, including 45 suites, and 62 residential units. The building contains a hotel, two restaurants, a gourmet coffee shop, private residences and residential amenities, and a major retail store. The building is located in an upscale shopping and dining area of Baltimore, Harbor East. Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is located at 200 International Drive, overlooking the Inner Harbor. The reception desk and the lobby are on the ground floor. All the food and beverage facilities have views of the harbor through large bay windows. A function and meeting space is on the second and fourth floors. The function space includes the Grand Ballroom, the Cobalt Ballroom, eight meeting rooms and one Boardroom. The total function space, including the pre-function areas, offers over 20,000 square feet of meeting space. The spa and fitness center are on the fourth level.

The National Katyń Memorial is a monument in Baltimore, Maryland, which memorializes the victims of the 1940 Katyn massacre of Polish nationals carried out by Soviet forces. Baltimore's Polish-American community was instrumental in having the monument built. The monument was unveiled in 2000 and is the tallest statue in Baltimore. The statue itself is 44 feet (13.4 m) high, the whole monument, with base, is 56 feet (17 m).The statue by sculptor Andrzej Pitynski was delivered from Poland and established in the Inner Harbor East at Aliceanna and President streets.

Vue Harbor East is a high-rise hotel building located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The building rises 306 feet (93 m), containing 30 floors and 131 rooms. The construction of the building began in 2005 and was completed in 2007. The developers of the building were Beatty Harvey Fillat Architects.The construction of this building is a part of the building span that is currently taking place in Harbor East, Baltimore. By 2010, more than 800 condominiums are expected to be built. Vue Harbor East is also a part of the Hilton Hotel chain. The building is the twenty-third tallest building in the city of Baltimore. A feature of the hotel is a seven-screen movie theater built into the hotel building.

Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel is a high-rise hotel building, located in the Harbor East area of Baltimore, Maryland. The hotel is situated at 700 Aliceanna St. Primarily a convention hotel, the property has 32 floors with over 750 rooms, standing at 360 feet (110 m). The hotel has been the tallest hotel structure in Baltimore since it opened in 2001 as one of the first structures in Harbor East. The construction of the building was completed in 2001 by the developers of Beatty Harvey Fillat Architects. Beginning on November 16, 2007, management of the hotel began renovations of the building's rooms, which ended on May 25, 2008.

The President Street Station in Baltimore, Maryland, is a former train station and railroad terminal. Built in 1849 and opened in February 1850, the station saw some of the earliest bloodshed of the American Civil War (1861-1865), and was an important rail link during the conflict. Today, it is the oldest surviving big-city railroad terminal in the United States. A preservation campaign and renovation project completed in 1997 enabled the station to be operated as the Baltimore Civil War Museum for several years.

Bagby Furniture Company Building is a historic factory building located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a four-story, "U"-shaped, brick factory building composed of three sections constructed between 1902 and 1907. Its exterior features segmental and jack arches above openings, a corbeled watertable, and a corbeled cornice. It housed the Bagby Furniture Company, which operated from 1879 to 1990.Bagby Furniture Company Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Little Italy is a neighborhood located in southeastern Baltimore, Maryland. The neighborhood is known for its strong Italian-American heritage and identity. The neighborhood is still mostly populated by the descendants of Italian-American immigrants and remains a closely knit ethnic enclave. Due to its close proximity to desirable neighborhoods such as Fell's Point, Upper Fell's Point and Harbor East, real estate values in Little Italy have become high in recent years. Another cause for the neighborhood's competitive real estate market is the lack of properties entering the market due to the longstanding neighborhood tradition of keeping houses within the family. Each summer, the Little Italy community hosts an outdoor film festival where outdoor movies are projected onto a wall at the intersection of High and Stiles Streets.

HarborView Condominium is a residential high-rise in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The building, which is a part of the HarborView complex, rises 29 floors and 342 feet (104 m) in height, and stands as the 16th-tallest building in the city. Originally approved in 1990, the structure was completed in 1993 and was built on the site of the old Bethlehem Steel Shipyards graving dock which was demolished in 1983. HarborView Condominium was designed by architectural firms Design Collective, Inc. and SHK3 Architectural Interdesign.The HarborView complex was originally planned to include two additional 26-story residential towers. However, as the complex is located on the Inner Harbor waterfront, the plan received much criticism for its potential to block views of the harbor. The proposal for the two additional towers was eventually blocked by Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon in August 2007. However, the structures were then redesigned, and a new proposal for a 17-story Pinnacle at HarborView has received construction approval from the city. A redesign of the third building in the complex, HarborView Phase 3, has yet to receive city approval. In 2020, the property was listed with a value of $6,000,000.

Governor R. M. McLane, was a steamboat built in 1884 that served the state of Maryland as an enforcement and survey vessel. Maryland's State Oyster Police Force (“Oyster Navy”) was established to enforce state conservation laws designed to protect Maryland's oyster resources when out of state, often New England, dredgers began destroying reefs. Later local opposition to licenses turned to open "warfare" in the "oyster wars" during which open battles took place. Governor R. M. McLane, after replacing an older steamer, Leila, was armed with the cannon the earlier vessel had used in engagements. Maryland's leasing plans with natural oyster reefs open to small interests and large tracts of "barren bottom" leased to large fishing interest depended upon accurate surveys of the location of natural oyster reefs. That survey was supported by Governor R. M. McLane which was also detailed to the state Shell Fish Commission seasonally for research. During World War I all the Maryland State Fisheries Force became part of the Naval Reserve in the United States Navy as a patrol vessel from 1917 to 1918. After return to normal service the steamer suffered extensive damage, "burned to the waterline" according to reports, but was rebuilt using insurance money. Governor R. M. McLane continued in service as the largest vessel of the fleet.
