Jerudong International School (Malay: Sekolah Antarabangsa Jerudong; Abbrev: JIS) is a co-educational, boarding and day school in Brunei, Southeast Asia. It has over 1680 students - of which around 200 are boarding students. Less than 50% of its student body are Bruneians, with the remainder fulfilled by students from 55 countries. Jerudong International School first opened its doors for primary education in January 1997 and subsequently for secondary in October of the same year. JIS offers a British International education. For the Junior School services are offered from nursery to Year 6. The Senior School offers the Middle Years Programme in Years 7, 8 and 9; the IGCSE in Years 10 and 11. In the Pre-university programme - Years 12 and 13, there are three pathways which are A Level examination, IB Diploma or B-Tech. The school is affiliated to several British school organisations such as the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC), the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA). The school is highly competitive academically regionally and locally at GCSE and Pre-University levels. Its admissions process requires mandatory cognitive testing, subject examinations, a written English test, and a personality interview as part of its selection procedure. JIS is rated as the most prestigious school in Brunei by the Good School Guide.

The Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (Abbreviation: IBER; Malay: Institut Penyelidikan Biodiversiti dan Alam Sekitar; Jawi: اينستيتوت ڤڽليديقن بيوديۏرسيتي دان عالم سکيتر) in Brunei Darussalam (Borneo/Southeast Asia) is a research institute of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) dedicated to biodiversity and environmental sciences research and education. IBER's location within the northwest Borneo hotspot offers unique opportunities for long-term studies in both terrestrial and marine tropical ecosystems.

The Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE or Institut Pendidikan Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah) is a Bruneian research institute and graduate school of education, located at the Tungku campus of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). It provides graduate programs with both faculty and a curriculum that aims to improve teaching standards and assist the national educational system.

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD; Jawi: يونيبرسيتي بروني دارالسلام) is a national research university located in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It was established in 1985 and has since become the largest university in the country in terms of student enrollment and curriculum offered. UBD is ranked 86th in Asia by the 2020 QS Asia University Rankings, and 254th in the world by the 2021 QS World University Rankings.

The UBD|IBM Centre is research collaboration between the Universiti Brunei Darussalam and International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation. The centre was launched by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on October 15, 2011. IBM Research Labs in India, New York, USA (Watson), Australia, and Brazil are participating in this joint research.

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB; Jawi: يونيبرسيتي تيكنولوݢي بروني), is a national research university based in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It was established as a higher learning institution in 1986, offering Higher National Diploma programs in engineering, business and computing. The institution was upgraded to a university in 2008 and its name was changed from Institut Teknologi Brunei to Universiti Teknologi Brunei.

Tungku Beach (Malay: Pantai Tungku) is a Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) owned beach in Kampong Tungku, Berakas 'A', Brunei-Muara, Brunei. The beach is known for fishing, picnicking and view of sunsets over the South China Sea. The beach sits at an altitude of 76 metres (249 ft).In 1992, it was reported that the beach had severe sand erosion. On 24 February 2013, a beach cleaning campaign was hosted by the Ministry of Development's Lands Department.

IBTE Mechanical Campus, formerly known as Mechanical Training Centre (Malay: Pusat Latihan Mekanik, abbreviated as PLM) is a government vocational school in Brunei and one of the campuses under the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE). It is located in Tungku, a settlement in Brunei-Muara District. The school is a post-secondary institution which provides training specifically for the purpose of being a vehicle mechanic.

RPN Kampong Rimba or Kampong Rimba National Housing Scheme (Malay: Rancangan Perumahan Negara Kampung Rimba) is a public housing area in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, on the northern outskirts of the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The total population was 15,658 in 2016. It is part of Mukim Gadong 'A', a mukim in Brunei-Muara District.

Skim Tanah Kurnia Rakyat Jati (STKRJ) Kampong Rimba or STKRJ Rimba is a public housing area on the northern outskirts of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It is officially a village subdivision under Mukim Gadong 'A', a mukim in Brunei-Muara District. It has an area of 69.15 hectares (170.9 acres); the population was 5,023 in 2016.
