The Alexandre Latiolais House is a historic house located at 900 East Butcher Switch Road in Lafayette, Louisiana. The 1+1⁄2-story building is the result of two periods of construction. The first one, dated c.1790, produced a complete house of four rooms, with a front and rear gallery and an attic, in a typical French Creole layout. About 1827, the building was enlarged in a more modern Federal style with the addition of two rooms to the northern side, the continuation of gallery and the updating of all the woodworks.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 9, 1985.

The Sidney Martin House is a historic house located at 310 Sidney Martin Road in Lafayette, Louisiana. Named after the person who owned the house between 1918 and 1976, the 2+1⁄2-story classic Creole raised cottage was built in c.1835. Some alterations were made in 1919, the more consistent being the roof line being lowered and the addition of second story columns. Despite 1919 alterations the exterior form of the house is almost intact.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 8, 1984.

It is owned by Delta Media Corporation alongside dual MeTV/Telemundo affiliate KLWB (channel 50). The two stations share studios on Evangeline Thruway in Carencro; KXKW-LD's transmitter is located northeast of Lafayette. KXKW-LP (channel 6) is a defunct LPTV station also licensed to Lafayette. The station's primary content was the audio programming on the aural carrier of 87.74 MHz and using a 19 kHz stereo pilot carrier with 75 kHz deviation. This could be received on many FM broadcast receivers, and as a result KXKW-LP marketed itself as an FM radio station. The station aired a Regional Mexican format under the brand "Radio Lazer". To meet the legal requirements for visual content, the station ran a feed of the local National Weather Service radar.

Carencro (; historically French: St.-Pierre) is a city in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is a suburb of the nearby city of Lafayette. The population was 7,526 at the 2010 census, up from 6,120 in 2000; at the 2020 census, its population was 9,272. The name of the city is derived from the Cajun French word for buzzard; the spot where the community was settled was one where large flocks of American black vultures roosted in the bald cypress trees. The name means "carrion crow." Carencro is part of the Lafayette metropolitan area.

The Our Lady of the Assumption School is a historic Black Catholic school complex located at 410 North Michaud Street in Carencro, Louisiana. The school complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 2001.
