Rural Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Wilson County, Tennessee. The population was 2,132 at the 2010 census.

Couchville Cedar Glade State Natural Area is a Class II Natural-Scientific state natural area located in Davidson and Wilson counties Tennessee. Its western boundary is contiguous with the eastern boundary of Long Hunter State Park. The park's name reflects its location near the now extinct inundated community of Couchville, Tennessee. The 140 acres (57 ha) reservation is characterized by extensive bare rock intermixed with Eastern red cedars (Juniperus virginiana), grasses, wildflowers (including the Tennessee Coneflower, Echinacea tennesseensis) and associated wildlife along a mile long hiking trail looping through one of the most undisturbed examples of a cedar glade remaining in middle Tennessee.

Couchville, Tennessee was a community and U.S. Post Office founded on Stones River prior to 1880 in Davidson County, Tennessee. Couchville was inundated when J. Percy Priest Lake was formed by impounding Stones River in the mid-1960s. The community was roughly located 500 feet to the west of the current intersection of Hobson Pike and Couchville Pike in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. The community's identity is preserved in the name of adjacent Couchville Cedar Glade State Natural Area.

WMOT-FM is a public radio station serving the metropolitan Nashville, Tennessee market. Licensed to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, it is owned by the Middle Tennessee State University, located in nearby Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and it broadcasts an Americana-based format branded as Roots Radio. Due to its location, WMOT's signal is strongest and clearest in Nashville and surrounding counties.

Long Hunter State Park is a state park in Davidson County and Rutherford County, Tennessee, located in the southeastern United States. The park is mostly situated along the eastern shores of Percy Priest Lake, an artificial lake created by an impoundment of the Stones River. Long Hunter State Park comprises three lake sections — Baker's Grove in the north, Couchville at the center, and Bryant Grove to the south. All three sections are connected by narrow strips of land. The park also manages Sellars Farm, a state archaeological area near Lebanon to the east.

Gladeville is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, Tennessee. The community is named for the surrounding cedar glades— a unique type of ecosystem that thrives in the thin or barren soil of south Wilson County. Gladeville is located just off Interstate 840 along Stewarts Ferry Pike, approximately 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Mt. Juliet. Gladeville was founded in 1852 on land of Benjamin Hooker Jr. and grew steadily for several years, although the outbreak of the Civil War slowed its growth. The post office was established in 1855 with John M. Bland as the first postmaster. Notable Gladeville natives include Grand Ole Opry fiddler Sid Harkreader (1898–1988). The community is home to the Nashville Superspeedway. Gladeville was formerly a regional softball hub in the 1980s and 1990s with many large tournaments being held in the spring and summer months. However, in the early 2000s a significant decrease in activity occurred and by the mid 2000s, activity ceased completely. The softball field has been used for various youth teams since, and is currently utilized by the Diamond Dawgs, which boasts 11U and 12U AAA traveling competitive baseball teams. Gladeville has a small downtown area at the intersection of Gladeville Road & Stewarts Ferry Pike that features several restaurants and businesses. The community was struck by an EF-1 tornado on the afternoon of November 18, 2017.

Mt. Juliet station is a train station in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, serving Nashville's commuter rail service, the WeGo Star. Service began September 18, 2006.

Mt. Juliet (also referred to as Mount Juliet) is a city located in western Wilson County, Tennessee. A suburb of Nashville, it is approximately 17 miles (27 km) east of downtown Nashville. Mt. Juliet is located mostly between two major national east-west routes, Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 70. As of the 2020 United States census, Mount Juliet has a population of approximately 39,289 people. Mt. Juliet is the largest city in Wilson County. The official city charter has the name listed as Mt. Juliet; however, the United States Postal Service lists its name as Mount Juliet.

Mt. Juliet High School (MJHS) is a public high school located in Wilson County, Tennessee. It is not within Mt. Juliet city limits, but it serves parts of southern and eastern Mt. Juliet. Ryan Hill, a 2005 MJHS graduate, became the principal July 1st, 2023.In 2008, MJHS moved from its previous building on N Mt. Juliet Road to a new building located at 1800 Curd Road. The old building became Mt. Juliet Middle School. The address changed to 1875 Golden Bear Gateway in 2017.The school's slogan is "Bear Pride Mt. Juliet High."

Wilson Central High School is part of the Wilson County School System, and is located in Lebanon, Tennessee. It serves: portions of Lebanon, all of Rural Hill, all of Gladeville, and portions of Mount Juliet south of Interstate 40.

Leeville is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It is centered just north of Interstate 40 and just west of Tennessee State Route 109.

Rutherford County Virtual School is a virtual school in the Rutherford County school district located in Smyrna, Tennessee, United States. The school serves grades 3 to 12. All students who are residents of Rutherford County can enroll in the school. This school is the first virtual school to open in the county in 2020 with an enrollment of 189 students.
