Broadway Heights is a small community in the southeastern section of the city of San Diego. It is bordered on the north, east, and west by Lemon Grove, and on the south by Encanto and Mallard Street. The predominantly African-American community has 629 residents within its seven blocks. Weston Street was renamed to Martin Luther King Jr. Way (after the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.) due to a youth campaign, marking the first time a street in San Diego was named after him.

Skyline, also known as Skyline Hills or Skyline Park, is a hilly urban neighborhood in Southeastern San Diego. It is bordered by Encanto to the west, Jamacha-Lomita to the North East, and Bay Terraces to the South. The neighborhood is split into two sections, Skyline West and Skyline East. It is currently represented by Sara Jacobs, who succeeded Susan Davis following the 2020 election. It is scheduled to be the one California congressional district to be eliminated following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle.The district is currently in San Diego County. It includes eastern portions of Chula Vista, western portions of El Cajon, central and eastern portions of the city of San Diego, as well as eastern suburbs such as Bonita, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and Spring Valley in their entirety.

Lemon Grove Academy Middle School is a middle school located in Lemon Grove, California. The school is managed by the Lemon Grove School District. Lemon Grove Academy Middle's mascot is the Wolf. This school has been indicted for failing to meet No Child Left Behind benchmarks, particularly in reading.

It is generally bounded by the city of Lemon Grove to the north, unincorporated La Presa to the east, Imperial Avenue and Encanto to the west, and Skyline and Lomita Village to the south. Major thoroughfares include Lisbon Street, Jamacha Road, and Woodrow Avenue. The neighborhood is part of the Skyline-Paradise Hills Community Planning Area.

Lomita, also known as Lomita Village, is an urban neighborhood in the southeastern area of San Diego, California. It is bounded by Meadowbrook Drive and Skyline West to the west, unincorporated La Presa to the east and Skyline East to the south, and Jamacha to the north. Major thoroughfares in the neighborhood include San Vicente Street and Worthington Avenue. The neighborhood is part of the Skyline-Paradise Hills Community Planning Area.

Lemon Grove is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 27,627 at the 2020 census, up from 25,320 at the 2010 census.

Lemon Grove Depot is a station on the Orange Line of the San Diego Trolley. It is located in the San Diego suburb of Lemon Grove, California and serves the densely populated surrounding commercial and residential area. The station has also been home to a farmers market on Saturdays since January 2015.

Liberty Charter High School is located in the city of Lemon Grove, in the Greater San Diego area of San Diego County, California, United States. It is authorized by the San Diego County Board of Education. It opened to freshman students in August 2008 and added a new class each school year. It is the first start-up charter school authorized by San Diego County Board of Education, and will eventually enroll over 450 students.A new campus was scheduled to be constructed in Santee, California, but after the recession started, the campus construction was put on hold due to lack of financing. During the 2009–2010 school year, Liberty was on the campus of its parent school, Literacy First Charter School. Liberty consisted of freshmen and sophomore's. Currently, LCHS is in the process of developing a new high school site in East County. The high school is part of a K-12 program that is run by the non-profit Literacy First Schools K12. The current Student Government President is Carson Paul Walker, who won against 1 other candidate in 2020. The current Student Government Vice President is Alexa Schroeder, who won against 1 other candidate in 2020. The current Student Government Secretary is Natalie Woods, who ran unopposed in 2020. The current Student Government Treasurer is Michael Schallock, who ran unopposed in 2020. The current Student Government Publicist is Samuel Benetiz, who won against a 3-time candidate in 2020.

Encanto (Spanish for "Charm") is a hilly urban neighborhood located in the southeastern region of San Diego, California. The neighborhood is bordered by California State Route 94 and the communities of Oak Park and Broadway Heights to the north, O'Farrell (also known as South Encanto) to the south, Emerald Hills and Valencia Park to the west and the City of Lemon Grove to the east.

Samuel F. B. Morse High School is an urban public high school located in southeastern San Diego in the neighborhood of Skyline Hills serving grades 9–12 in the American K-12 education system. Morse, which serves a predominantly socioeconomically-disadvantaged student population, has produced several notable athletes among its alumni

Mount Miguel High School is a public, comprehensive high school located in Spring Valley, California and serves over 1,400 students in grades nine through twelve. Opened in 1957, Mount Miguel is the fourth of twelve high schools constructed in the Grossmont Union High School District. MMHS is the home of the Matadors, and the school colors are red and black. Mount Miguel High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a 1990 California Distinguished School.
