Wyuka Cemetery

The Nebraska Holocaust Memorial is in Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. It was dedicated on April 15, 2007 and serves for remembrance and education. This memorial is dedicated to the men, women, and children murdered in the Holocaust by Nazi Germany during World War II. This memorial also honors the survivors and liberators of the Holocaust. The memorial did not use any state funds for its creation. Almost 1000 donors contributed to the memorial and education programs.Within the Memorial is a set of stones that surround the "Star of Remembrance" monument. These stones represent the 11 million people who were murdered by the Nazis and their allies. Within the "Sea of Stones" are bricks with the names of individuals murdered in the Holocaust. Other sections of the Memorial include the "Wall of Remembrance" with pictures from the Holocaust and a Butterfly Garden in memory of the one and a half million children murdered in the Holocaust. Nebraska picked the memorial to be in this cemetery because it is the nation's only state cemetery, and, though located in Lincoln, Nebraska, represents the entire state. Rich, poor, famous and infamous individuals killed in all the nation's wars (including the Civil War), as well as former slaves, are buried at Wyuka. KCWH-LD (channel 18) is a low-power television station in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States, affiliated with The CW Plus. It is owned by Gray Television alongside CBS affiliate KOLN (channel 10) and its semi-satellite KGIN (channel 11) in Grand Island, and York-licensed dual NBC/MyNetworkTV affiliate KSNB-TV, channel 4 (which are simulcast on KGIN's second digital subchannels). The stations share studios on North 40th Street in Lincoln, where KCWH-LD's transmitter is also located. For most of its history, KCWH-LD, under the call sign K18CD, served as a translator for KSNB-TV, whose signal is weak in Lincoln. In 2018, Gray converted the station into a standalone CW+ affiliate, simulcast on then-Sonlife Broadcasting Network affiliate KNHL (channel 5) in Hastings (which was acquired by Gray in 2019) and the second subchannel of Fox affiliate KIIT-CD (channel 11) in North Platte. NBC programming (via KSNB) remains available in Lincoln on KOLN's second digital subchannel.

KFOR (1240 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Lincoln, Nebraska, United States, the station serves the Lincoln area. The station is currently owned by Alpha Media, through licensee Digity 3E License, LLC, and features programming from ABC Radio and Westwood One. KFOR's studios are located on Cornhusker Highway in Northeast Lincoln, while its transmitter array (including the FM translator K277CA's transmitter) is located on Vine Street east of downtown Lincoln.

The Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) arboretum and botanical garden located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. The arboretum began more than 50 years ago when Earl G. Maxwell began to plant trees on the campus. It was subsequently dedicated as the second site of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. Mature oaks include specimens of black, bur, English, pin, sawtooth, shingle, shumard, and swamp white varieties. Other trees include blue ash, chestnut, pawpaw, sweetgum, black tupelo, and Scots pine. Additional plants include lilacs, cold-hardy rhododendrons, and viburnums, as well as over 80 hosta cultivars, and a 1-acre (4,000 m2) prairie with native wildflowers and bluestem and Indian grass.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lincoln (Latin: Dioecesis Lincolnensis) is a Catholic diocese in Nebraska, United States, and comprises the majority of the eastern and central portions of the state south of the Platte River. It is a suffragan see to the archdiocese of Omaha. The episcopal see is in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bishop James D. Conley is the current ordinary of the Diocese. The Cathedral of the Risen Christ is the cathedral parish of the diocese.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry is located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. The College offers degrees in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). The College also offers postgraduate programs for Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Periodontics and General Practice Residency. The Department of Oral Biology participates in the Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Area (MSIA) Program in the Graduate College at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered with specialization in a variety of biomedical disciplines.

The R.O. Stake House is a historic house in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was built in 1919 by Reese O. Stake, and designed in the American Craftsman style by architect George A. Berlinghof. Stake built many houses in Lincoln, including his own house. According to the National Register of Historic Places form, "The bungalow has textured brown bricks cladding the structural-tile walls of the exterior, with restrained limestone trim on the south chimney and front steps. The wide eaves have stuccoed soffits and the raking eaves have substantial wooden brackets. The complex, interlocking gable roofs are permanently finished in glossy, green-glazed tiles." The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 27, 2005.

The Edgar A. Burnett House is a historic house in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was built in 1904 for Edgar A. Burnett, who served as the chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1899 to 1938. It was designed in the American Foursquare style by Fiske and Dieman. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 12, 2006.

The University of Nebraska College of Law is one of the professional graduate schools of University of Nebraska system. It was founded in 1888 and became part of University of Nebraska in 1891. According to Nebraska's official 2017 ABA-required disclosures, 70.3% of the Class of 2016 obtained full-time, long-term, JD-required employment nine months after graduation.

The Nimrod Ross House is a historic cottage in Lincoln, Nebraska. Probably built by carpenter Henry Brueckner in 1903, it belonged to Nimrod and Ellen Ross from 1904 to 1917. Nimrod Ross was a freedman, who was born a slave in Tennessee in 1863 and became one of the first African-American police officers in Lincoln, Nebraska in the early 1900s. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 25, 1999.

The Lester F. Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum is a museum dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Nebraska's tractor test law, operated by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (NU) in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. The Nebraska Tractor Test Law, passed in 1919 and administered by the university, requires performance testing on every tractor with forty horsepower or more sold in the state. The facility, initially established as the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory, was renamed for longtime chief engineer Lester F. Larsen when it was converted into a museum in 1998. It is the only tractor testing museum and the only complete tractor test laboratory in the world.

Nebraska Public Media, formerly Nebraska Educational Telecommunications (NET), is a state network of public radio and television stations in the U.S. state of Nebraska. It is operated by the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission (NETC). The television stations are all members of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), while the radio stations are members of National Public Radio (NPR). The network is headquartered in the Terry M. Carpenter & Jack G. McBride Nebraska Public Media Center which is located at 1800 North 33rd Street on the East campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and has a satellite studio in Omaha.
