NAIT station

The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is a polytechnic and applied sciences institute in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. NAIT provides careers programs in applied research, technical training, applied education, and learning designed to meet the demands of Alberta's technical and knowledge-based industries. NAIT offers approximately 120 credit programs leading to degrees, applied degrees, diplomas, and certificates. As of 2018, there are approximately 16,000 students in credit programs, 12,000 apprentices registered in apprenticeship training, 14,500 students enrolled in non-credit courses, and more than 20,000 registrants for customized corporate based training. NAIT also attracts international students from 94 countries. NAIT is similar to an Institute of technology or university of applied sciences as termed in other jurisdictions. The campus newspaper, the NAIT Nugget, is a member of the Canadian University Press (CUP).

Kingsway Mall (formerly Kingsway Garden Mall) is a shopping centre located in central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The mall, constructed in 1976, completed a $70-million redevelopment from 2007–2009. The "Revealing" held the weekend of 13 November 2009, saw the name change, introduced the public to the new mall, and opened the winter shopping season. Bordered by three major commuter roads (109 Street, Princess Elizabeth Avenue, and Kingsway), Kingsway Mall is situated near NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. On 14 March 2014, its Target location opened, but closed in 2015. Also, in 2015, Forever 21 opened in the former Smitty's and Shefield Express. It also had the last Smart Set in Edmonton. Hot Topic opened in the mall in the Fall of 2015, and it is the first in Edmonton. In 2017, they announced they would go under a renovation adding a new wing of the mall in the former Target. On July 8, 2021, Walmart announced that it would be exiting its current Westmount Centre Location and relocating to Kingsway Mall in the former Sears space on October 20, 2022.

Kingsway/Royal Alex station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta. It serves the Metro Line. It is located adjacent to the Royal Alexandra Hospital on the north side of Kingsway. The Kingsway/Royal Alex Transit Centre, constructed at the same time, is located next to the station.

St. John Cathedral, (or more formally the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, often misspelled St. John’s) in Edmonton, is the throne of the Bishop of the Western Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. The current bishop for the cathedral is Ilarion (Rudnyk).

The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Glenrose opened in 1964, and offers services to children and adults on an inpatient, outpatient and outreach basis. The hospital offers assessment, treatment, consultation and technology services, as well as education for patients and families through its clinics and services. In addition to rehabilitation services for all age groups, areas of focus also include mental health and psychiatric services for children and seniors, as well as cardiac rehabilitation for adults. Specialized technology enhances patient care in programs such as the Syncrude Centre for Motion and Balance, I CAN Centre for Assistive Technology, Alberta Caregiver College, Cochlear Implant Service, Telehealth, Seating Service, Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Scoliosis Clinic.

The Edmonton Metropolitan Region (EMR), also commonly referred to as Greater Edmonton or Metro Edmonton, is a conglomeration of municipalities centred on Alberta's provincial capital of Edmonton. The EMR's commonly known boundaries are coincident with those of the Edmonton census metropolitan area (CMA) as delineated by Statistics Canada. However, its boundaries are defined differently for Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board administrative purposes.The EMR is considered a major gateway to northern Alberta and the Canadian North, particularly for many companies, including airlines and oil/natural gas exploration. Located within central Alberta and at the northern end of the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor, the EMR is the northernmost metropolitan area in Canada.

The Alberta Aviation Museum is an aviation museum located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The museum is located on-site at the former Edmonton City Centre (Blatchford Field) Airport on the southwest corner of the field (11410 Kingsway Avenue).The museum operates daily except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Blatchford Gate station is an under construction Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta. It will serve the Metro Line and will be the northern terminus station until the line is further extended. The station will be located in the northeastern section of the developing Blatchford community, and west of the Westwood neighbourhood. The station is planned to be complete in December 2023 or early 2024 as part of 1.6 km (0.99 mi) Metro Line NW Phase 1 Extension.The station however, is not expected to open for passenger service until a later unknown date due to a lack of demand.

The Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) is a large and long serving hospital in the Canadian province of Alberta. Operated by Alberta Health Services and located north of Edmonton's downtown core, the Royal Alexandra serves a diverse community stretching from Downtown Edmonton to western and northern Canada. The total catchment area for the RAH is equivalent to 1/3 of Canada's land mass, stretching north from Downtown Edmonton to enpass both the Northwest Territories and Yukon territory, and stretching as far west as British Columbia's pacific coast.The hospital operates 869 beds, and cares for more than 500,000 patients annually. The Royal Alexandra is Western Canada's biggest and busiest hospital. The RAH is home to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, the Eye Institute of Alberta, the C.K. Hui Heart Centre, and the Indigenous Health Program, the Orthopedic Surgery Centre, the Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery, the Weight Wise Clinic, and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program in addition to a wide range of child, adult and geriatric programs and services.Several University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry departments are headquartered in the Royal Alexandra Hospital including Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

St. Joseph Catholic High School is a secondary school located in North-Central Edmonton. In a guided customized learning program, students develop the essential skills required to build effective working relationships with their peers and faculty. The faculties objective is to help all students gain the essential skills required to be a self-directed learner upon graduating from this high school. Central McDougall is a largely residential neighbourhood in the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada located immediately north of the downtown core. Located within the neighbourhood are the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre, the Victoria School of the Arts, and the administrative offices of the Edmonton Public Schools system. Kingsway Mall is located immediately to the north of Central McDougall in the neighbourhood of Spruce Avenue, as is the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and the Norwood Extended Care Centre North. The neighbourhood is bounded on the north by 111 Avenue, on the south by 105 Avenue, on the east by 101 Street and on the west by 109 Street. Running through Central McDougall is Kingsway Avenue. The community is represented on the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues by the Central McDougall Community League, established in 1923.
