Long Branch Aerodrome

The Lakeview Generating Station was an Ontario Power Generation coal-burning station located in Lakeview, a community just east of Port Credit, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The former station, constructed in 1958–1962, was located just east of Lakeshore Road and Cawthra Road. The four stacks of the station were known as the Four Sisters; the eight boilers of the generating plant all 'twinned' their emissions into common stacks. (Similar technology had been used in several of the four funnel liners that historically plied the North Atlantic.) The station was a landmark for years and was shut down in April, 2005, after 43 years of service. The four stacks, which could be seen from as far away as Burlington to the west and downtown Toronto to the east, were demolished on June 12, 2006. The rest of the building was demolished on June 28, 2007.

Cooksville Creek is a short stream in Mississauga, Regional Municipality of Peel in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. It begins near Bristol Road West and Hurontario Street and flows south to Lake Ontario at R.K McMilian Park near Lakeshore Road and Cawthra Road. The community of Cooksville is located on the west bank of the creek near Hurontario Street and Dundas Street East. The creek is surrounded mostly by residential homes and a few parks: R.K. Marie Curtis Park is a public park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the mouth of the Etobicoke Creek on Lake Ontario in the Long Branch neighbourhood. Marie Curtis Park was built after the devastating floods of Hurricane Hazel in 1954 destroyed 56 homes and cottages on the site, leaving 1,868 persons homeless and 81 dead. It is named after Marie Curtis, the reeve of Long Branch at the time of its construction. Long Branch at the time was a separate village; it's now amalgamated into the City of Toronto government.

Etobicoke Creek (listen) is a river in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. It is a tributary of Lake Ontario and runs from Caledon to southern Etobicoke, part of the City of Toronto. The creek is within the jurisdiction of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

St. Paul Secondary School is a separate, Roman Catholic, high school in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1971 and is part of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.

The Adamson Estate, which forms the eastern boundary of the Port Credit neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario, was purchased from the family of Agar Adamson by Credit Valley Conservation Authority in 1975 upon the urging of the local ratepayers group known as Project H21 after a proposed real estate development which would have changed the character of the neighbourhood. It is now a public park on the Waterfront Trail. It was recognized as a Historic Place in 1978.

The Toronto Golf Club is a private golf club in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, a suburban municipality adjacent to Toronto. Established in Toronto in 1876, the Toronto Golf Club is the third oldest golf club in North America after Royal Montreal Golf Club, and the Royal Quebec Golf Club. In 1909, the golf club adopted its present name. The golf club moved to its present location in the early 20th century. The Toronto Golf Club has hosted the Canadian Open five times; and the Canadian Amateur Championship nine times, more than any other club.

Cawthra Park Secondary School, also known as CPSS, is a public high school built-in 1972 located in Southeast Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is one of two Regional Arts Schools in the Peel District School Board. Cawthra Park provides instruction to students from grades 9 to 12. Cawthra Park offers a Regional Art Program, which Peel students may audition to attend. It also offers a mainstream option for locals students. CPSS is one of the few secondary schools in Mississauga with an active and operational public pool facility owned and operated by the City of Mississauga. However, starting in 2023, a new pool aquatic program and facility will open at the Carmen Corbasson Community Centre (on the same land of the school) and Cawthra Park Pool will be decommissioned. The Principal is Tyler McLeod, and the Vice Principals are Barbara Gordon and Nancy Gilliard.

Long Branch is a GO Transit railway station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the Lakeshore West line stations, serving the Long Branch neighbourhood. Being one of the original GO Stations built in 1967, it is now scheduled for modernization. The plans would make the station accessible with new elevators, connecting tunnels, washrooms and canopies over the platforms. It is expected to be 2016 before these upgrades are complete. It is also anticipated that more condominium development in the area will increase the population density of the neighbourhood and attract more riders.

Long Branch Loop is the westernmost stop on the longest Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcar route, the 501 Queen line. It is located in the Long Branch neighbourhood in southwestern Toronto, close to the boundary with Mississauga. Westbound streetcars enter the turning loop from Lake Shore Boulevard and turn counter clockwise to face east on the north side of the platform. Bus bays are on the opposite south side of the platform with a shelter building in the centre, which once provided washrooms and a waiting room for the public.

Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School, "Gordon Graydon", "GGMSS", or simply "Graydon" for short, was a high school that served Grades 9 to 12 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The school opened in 1957, and celebrated its 50th anniversary on May 26, 2007. It was named after Gordon Graydon, a Canadian politician who died in 1953. The school's slogan was "Palma Per Ardua": "Success through Hard Work". Gordon Graydon was home to the International Business and Technology Program, the Graphic and Design Management Program, and the Specialist High Skills Major Program. The school was home of the only Graphic Design and Management Program in Ontario. A report by school board staff proposed that the school be closed in June 2019.On January 24, 2017, the Peel District School Boards Pupil Accommodation Review (PAR), voted in favour of the school closing in June 2018. In an effort to accommodate the students, Gordon Graydon's vocational and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) programs were relocated to Glenforest Secondary School for 2018-2019 school year. In addition, Graydon's graphic design and international business programs (GDM/IBT) were moved to T.L. Kennedy Secondary School for the 2018-2019 school year. Construction at both T.L. Kennedy and Glenforest secondary schools were needed to accommodate the incoming students. In December 2020 the Mississauga Continuing and Adult Education Centre moved into the former Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School building.

Dixie Outlet Mall, also referred to as Dixie Value Mall, is a shopping mall in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, located on the south side of the Queen Elizabeth Way highway. It is Canada's largest enclosed outlet mall. It has several brand name outlets including Nike, Adidas, Boathouse, Calvin Klein, Guess, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Winners, Famous Footwear. Dixie Outlet Mall is owned by Slate Asset Management, and managed by Cushman & Wakefield, both Canadian firms.
