Pilgrim Hospital is a hospital in the east of Lincolnshire on the A16, north of the town of Boston near the mini-roundabout with the A52. It is situated virtually on the Greenwich Meridian and adjacent to Boston High School. The fenland area of Lincolnshire is covered by this hospital, being the county's second largest hospital after Lincoln County Hospital. It is managed by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Boston High School, also known as Boston High School for Girls, is a selective grammar school and sixth form college for girls aged 11 to 18 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England. The school's sixth form has been coeducational since 1992. A 2014 Ofsted report assessed both the school and the sixth form provision as "good", with "outstanding" leadership and management and "outstanding" behaviour and safety. A short inspection carried out in March 2018 found that the school continues to be good.

Boston and Skegness is a county constituency, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. It is located in Lincolnshire, England. Like all British constituencies, Boston and Skegness elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post system of election. The seat has been represented by the Conservative MP Matt Warman since the 2015 general election, and is usually considered a safe seat for the party. The constituency was created in 1997, from parts of the former constituencies of Holland with Boston and East Lindsey. The constituency has always elected a Conservative MP. In the 1997 and 2001 general elections, the seat was very marginal, with majorities of less than 1,000 votes for the Conservative candidate over the Labour candidate. The next two general elections, in 2005 and 2010, saw large swings towards the Conservatives. In the 2015 general election, the Eurosceptic UK Independence Party (UKIP) overtook Labour to take second place in the constituency; the party won 33.8% of the vote in the seat, which was UKIP's second-highest vote share in any constituency in that election (after Clacton). The seat had been one of UKIP's top target seats in that election, as they had also performed strongly in the constituency at the two previous general elections. The constituency is estimated to have had the highest vote share in favour of leaving the European Union (EU) in the 2016 EU membership referendum, at 75.6%. For this reason, the leader of UKIP, Paul Nuttall, stood as the party's candidate in the seat in the 2017 general election. UKIP's vote share fell nationally that election, and they dropped to third place (behind Labour) with 7.7% of the vote, the party's third largest percentage drop in vote share. In the 2019 general election, the Conservatives increased their majority further, winning 76.7% of the vote. This was their second-highest vote share in the election (after Castle Point). The seat was also the second-safest Conservative seat in that election (measured by swing needed for the second-place party to gain the seat), after the neighbouring seat of South Holland and the Deepings.

Trader Mill is located in the village of Sibsey, Lincolnshire. It's one of two windmills which were grinding flour for the local community. Rhodes Mill (the second of the two) has been converted into a house. Built in 1877 by Saunderson of Louth in the typical Lincolnshire style, since then it has been restored and is now owned by English Heritage and managed by an independent party. It is a six-storey windmill with complete gear, six sails and fantail which still works today. It is a Grade I listed building.The windmill is one of the very few six-sailed mills still remaining in England. The mill itself is not exceptionally tall and in fact stands only six floors high above ground and the height to the top of the mill's cap is a mere 74 feet 3 inches. However the slenderness of the tower combined with the flat landscape which surrounds the mill give the illusion that Sibsey is larger than it actually is. The slim central tower also makes the sails look enormous in comparison.The mill worked until 1954 (although with only four sails in its later years) following which it was allowed to fall into disrepair. It has now been restored to full working order and today produces a wide range of organic flours.The mill features in the CBeebies series Baby Jake where location filming for the series took place in the late summer of 2010.

Maud Foster Windmill is a seven-storey, five sail windmill located by the Maud Foster Drain in Skirbeck, Boston, Lincolnshire, from which she is named. She is one of the largest operating windmills in England being 80 feet (24.38 m) tall to the cap ball. The tower mill and adjoining granary is grade I listed building. The mill was built in 1819 for Isaac and Thomas Reckitt of Wainfleet. It was repaired and restored in 1988.

Haven High Academy (formerly Haven High Technology College and Haven High School) is a secondary school with academy status located on Marian Road in the north of Boston, Lincolnshire, England. The school came into being in September 1992 as the result of a merger of the then Kitwood Girls School and Kitwood Boys School.In 2023 it emerged that pupils at the school were part of a system of fights being planned for social media audiences. School leadership commented that the events were taken very seriously as part of a nationwide promotion of school fights, and that all staff at Haven High Academy were already "fully committed" regarding safeguarding and promotion. Earlier the same year, school leadership said that pupils protesting at not being permitted to use toilet facilities would be "met with sanctions", and that "prison rules" would be enforced. Headteacher Stuart Rees said that this was part of a "nationwide trend". Following protests against the school's policies, which were supported by some parents, Lincolnshire Police initiated an investigation.In 2021 the assistant head of the school's music program was banned from teaching indefinitely after admitting having a sexual relationship with a pupil. A 15-year-old pupil also stabbed a 12-year-old boy to death in 2021 after luring him to a wooded area near the school.Ofsted inspections of the school in 2016, 2019 and 2022 all resulted in judgements of Requires Improvement, the second lowest category of performance. This was despite an interim Ofsted monitoring report in December 2021 indicating that the school was making rapid progress in addressing the areas of concern. Ofsted indicated that the school was still part of Voyage Education Partnership.

Sibsey is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated at the junction of the A16 and B1184 roads, 4 miles (6.4 km) north from Boston. Sibsey Northlands is to the north of the village. The Prime Meridian passes just to the west of Sibsey, crossing the Stone Bridge Drain canal. At the 2001 census, Sibsey had a population of 1,996, reducing to 1,979 at the 2011 Census.Set in the fens of Lincolnshire, Sibsey is a focus of the farming community. The village is surrounded by farmland. The village won an award for best-kept village in 1989. The village has a village hall, a post office with shop, and a public house, the White Hart, on Main Road. Although the postal address for residences includes nearby Boston, it is not in that borough.

Excell International School was a small independent, co-educational, day and boarding school located in Boston, Lincolnshire, England for children aged between 3 and 18. An amalgamation of two previous schools, Conway School and Maypole House School. Parents were told in a letter that the school and the Chatterbox Nursery associated with it would close on 16 July 2010, as they had been suffering "financial difficulties due to dwindling numbers".

York Street, also known as The Jakemans Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Boston, England, and was the former home of Boston United. Originally called Shodfriars Lane, football was first played on the site since the late 19th century by a variety of Boston teams, but it was only used by Boston United since 1933. In the late 1970s the ground was rebuilt. Although the ground currently had a maximum capacity of 6,643, the record crowd was 11,000 against Derby County. 10 further attendances of more than 8,000 are on record. Boston United left the York Street ground at the end of the 2019/20 season. In August 2021 Railway Athletic FC moved into the stadium.

Frithville is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Frithville and Westville in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of Frithville and Westville was 549 in 2001, increasing at the 2011 census to 568. It is served by the B1183 road, and is approximately 4 miles (6 km) north of Boston, in the West Fen fenland area.

Boston Priory was a priory in Boston, Lincolnshire, England. The origins of St Botolph's Church, Boston have their roots in the former priory church of the Benedictine monastery. The first church of St Botolph was granted to St Mary's Abbey, York, shortly after 1089 and a priory of monks was constituted. The foundations of this first church were discovered during restoration work on the north side of St Botolph's, 1851–3. There is no record of the priory after 1281, and the present church was not begun until 1309.

Boston Sessions House is a judicial structure in Church Close, Boston, Lincolnshire, England. The structure, which used to be the main courthouse for the north of Parts of Holland, is a Grade II* listed building. The site is also home to County Hall, the former headquarters of Holland County Council.
