SUNY Erie is a public community college with three campuses in western New York that serve residents in and near Erie County. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and has locations in Williamsville (North Campus), Buffalo (City Campus within Old Post Office), and Orchard Park (South Campus). The school's athletic teams are the Erie Kats. Athletic facilities include Burt Flickinger Center on the City Campus and West Herr Stadium on the South Campus.

Williamsville Water Mill Complex is a historic mill located at Williamsville in Erie County, New York. It was built originally as a sawmill in 1801, substantially enlarged in 1827, and operated in that capacity until 1903. Also on the site was the Water-Lime Works and Williamsville Cement Company mill, which was later converted to be a gristmill. After 1908, the mills were used for apple cider production. The complex is a rare surviving example of a water-powered seat of local industry in Western New York.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.In 2014, Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream renovated and moved into the mill, where they continue to draw business from those visiting Glen Park.

Williamsville South High School is a high school located in Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, New York. South is one of three high schools in the Williamsville Central School District, along with Williamsville North High School and Williamsville East High School.

Williamsville is a village in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 5,423 at the 2020 census. The village is named after Jonas Williams, an early settler. It is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area. Williamsville is located mostly within the town of Amherst, but Creek Road and Creek Heights in the south part of the village (near the Wehrle Drive underpass of the New York State Thruway) are in the town of Cheektowaga. The village is in the northeastern quadrant of Erie County. The Williamsville Central School District is a school system covering Williamsville, most of the eastern part of Amherst, and a small portion of the western end of Clarence.

The Williamsville Christian Church, also known as the Meeting House, is a historic Disciples of Christ church located at Williamsville in Erie County, New York. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick Italianate-style structure constructed in 1871 and remodeled in about 1900.Organized some forty years earlier, the evangelical congregation had been meeting in simple quarters nearby. They were a dedicated, community-minded group and are credited with having founded the first secondary school in the area, the Williamsville Classical Institute. In 1976, following a decline in congregation, the building was turned over to the Village of Williamsville for community use and for preservation. This historic building features a rose window facing Main Street. This window and the twelve arched and arcaded windows of the church contain three kinds of glass, the original stenciled glass, pebble glass, and newer leaded glass.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Glen Falls is a small waterfall located on Ellicott Creek in the village of Williamsville, New York. The hydropower provided by the falls made it an ideal site for a number of early watermills used to grind grist and to power sawmills.One of the earliest settlers of what is now Williamsville, Jonas Williams, owned two mills on opposite sides of Ellicott Creek. The name of these mills, Williams Mills, eventually transformed into the name of the village in which the falls is located, Williamsville. The falls has a vertical drop of approximately 30 feet (9.1 m). The vertical drop is part of the Onondaga Escarpment, a portion of which runs through Williamsville. Today, the falls forms part of the eastern border of Glen Park. Glen Falls has a very similar name to the city of Glens Falls, which is located in the far eastern portion of New York State, over 200 miles (320 km) from Williamsville.

Maryvale High School is a high school in Cheektowaga, New York, United States. It is a member of the Maryvale Union Free School District. As of the 2017-18 school year, the school has approximately 665 students.

Glen Park is a walking park in Williamsville, New York. It is bordered by the Glen Falls waterfall on Ellicott Creek, and the inactive Williamsville Water Mill.

The 120-acre (0.49 km2) Pfohl Brothers Landfill was a privately owned and operated landfill in Cheektowaga, New York. The landfill accepted municipal and industrial wastes from 1932 until 1971. It is located 1/2 mile east of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and sits on the north bank of Ellicott Creek. It lies west of Transit Road and south of the New York State Thruway near Thruway Exit 49. It is bisected by Aero Drive. When the landfill was active, it received solid and liquid chemical waste and sludges, including heavy metals, such as mercury and barium, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as benzene and dioxins, from local businesses, such as paint manufacturers, electroplaters, printers, and other industries that used solvents and petroleum. On May 10, 1993, the Pfohl Brothers Landfill was classified for cleanup by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as Superfund site NYD980507495. Remediation done by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation including the removal of 4,734 on-site drums, as well as the containment of the landfill, has significantly reduced the potential for exposure to contaminated materials at the site. Access to most of the site is restricted by a fence, but drainage ditches with runoff from the landfill lie outside of the fenced area and are accessible to the public. Several drainage ditches discharge into Ellicott Creek. Aero Lake lies north of the site. Both the lake and the creek are used by the community for recreational fishing. Ten homes are located within 200 feet (61 m) of an area of contaminated soil. The area near the landfill is residential and commercial. Wetlands border the creek and a drainage ditch and a wetland was located on what is now the central portion of the property.

Amherst State Park is an 80-acre (0.32 km2) park in Erie County, New York, United States. The park is located northeast of Buffalo, partially in the Village of Williamsville with the balance located in the Town of Amherst. The park is managed by the Town of Amherst under an agreement with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

St. Mary of the Angels Motherhouse Complex is a historic Roman Catholic convent located in the Town of Amherst in Erie County, New York. It was designed in 1928 by Dietel and Wade, who also designed Buffalo City Hall, as an expansion of the Amherst headquarters of the Sisters of St. Francis. It served the sisters until 1998, when the property was transferred to the State of New York and Town of Amherst for public park use. In 2004, the structure opened as a senior housing facility.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Chapel of Our Lady Help of Christians, also known as the Maria Hilf Chapel, is a historic Roman Catholic church located at Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York. It is part of the Diocese of Buffalo.
