Castle Rotondo is a fortress castle in Kaštel Štafilić, Croatia, on the Adriatic coast. It was fully constructed in 1508, on the order of Stefano Štafileo, a Trogirian nobleman. Stafileo ordered its construction in 1508 to protect his lands and the Kozjak's peasants from the Ottomans pillaging. It is situated by a beautiful sea cliff.Parallel to the castle, there is a fortified renaissance house, where there is the Stafileo's family crest, engraved with a bunch of grapes. The grapes are a visual translation of the Štafileo name, which means bunch of grapes in Greek. The crest symbolizes wine making, and the future. There is also an inscription in Latin above the castle gate, which states the original purpose behind the Castle's construction. The southern residential wing of the house has a water gate that still exists today.

Bijaći (Italian: Santa Marta) is a village in Croatia, 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northeast of Trogir, at the contact point between the Trogir part and the Lower Kaštela part of the Velo field. It was first mentioned in two old Croatian documents from AD 852 (Byaci) and AD 892 (Biaci). At the locality of Stombrate are the remains of an early Croatian church of St. Martha, mentioned in 1197. It is a three-nave structure with an angular apse and a bell tower on the front, built on the remains of an early Christian three-nave basilica. The remains of other structures, as well as the late antique and early Croatian cemetery have been discovered close to the ruins. Numerous fragments of pleter from the 9th and the 10th centuries have been found as well. Interesting are the parts of the altar partition, pediments and beams, and particularly the reconstructed quadrilateral ciborium (today kept at the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split) with part of an inscription. Six stone lintels have also been found in the vicinity of the church. They belonged to the buildings of the ducal palace. Biaći was one of better equipped occasional residences of the Croatian national rulers. The church of St. Martha was probably destroyed during Turkish invasions.

Keva's pit cave (Croatian: Kevina jama) is a pit cave located in the village of Radošić in the municipality of Lećevica, part of Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia.The pit cave is infamous as a site where during and after World War II, the Yugoslav Partisans used for the disposal of bodies of thousands of local Croatian civilians that they executed. Those executed were deemed to be Axis collaborators or enemies of the Communist regime.The pit cave has a funnel form, which, at the widest part, is about 30 metres wide. In the middle of the pit cave there is carbonated "skittle" made of limestone and other materials of karst. On 22 August 2015, a European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism, a county commemoration for victims of all anti-fascistic and communistic crimes in Croatia, was held here.

Its name means Old Castle, this came from a nobleman from Trogir Koriolan Cipiko, writer, humanist and military leader who built a mansion in 1476 which it is believed led to the name Kastel Stari. The main local employment comes from Tourism, the area is also popular with visitors from Split and the village is within a 20-minute drive of Split airport. The village is also about 20 minutes from Trogir by car and in the high season a boat can also take you to Trogir. At one time the 12 mile stretch between Split and the airport has 16 fortified castles, today Kastela includes 7 distinct townships, of which Kastel Stari is one of them.
