Kara Ahmed Pasha Mosque

Topkapı (meaning "Cannon Gate" in Turkish) is a neighbourhood in Istanbul, Turkey. Topkapı is a part of the district of Fatih.

Topkapı—Ulubatlı is an underground station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in eastern Fatih between the neighborhoods of Karagümrük and Topkapı in Istanbul. An out-of-system transfer to Vatan station on the T4 light-rail line is available as well as connections to İETT city buses. Topkapı—Ulubatlı was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul as well as Turkey and is one of the six original stations of the M1 line. The station is right next to the Byzantine-era Theodosian Walls of Constantinople. The station gets part of its name from the 15th century soldier, Ulubatlı Hasan who was one of the first Ottoman soldiers to scale the walls during the Fall of Constantinople.

Manastır Mosque (Turkish: Manastır Mescidi; also Mustafa Çavuş Mescidi, where mescit is the Turkish word for a small mosque) is a former Eastern Orthodox church converted into a mosque by the Ottomans. Neither archeological excavations nor medieval sources have made it possible to find a satisfactory answer as to its original dedication as a church. It is however possible that the small building was part of the Byzantine monastery dedicated to the Holy Martyrs Menodora, Metrodora, and Nymphodora (Greek: Μονῆ τῶν Άγίων Μηνοδώρας, Μητροδώρας καὶ Νυμφοδώρας), or an annex of the nunnery of Kyra Martha (Greek: Μονῆ τἠς Κυράς Μάρθας). The edifice is a minor example of Byzantine architecture in Constantinople, and is important for historical reasons.

Fatih Mimar Sinan Stadium (Turkish: Mimar Sinan Stadı) is a football stadium in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is named after the Ottoman chief architect Mimar Sinan (c. 1488/1490–1588). The stadium is situated at Keçeci Meydanı Street in Karagümrük neighborhood of Fatih. Built in 2011, the venue is owned and operated by the Municipality of Fatih. The stadium has a capacity of 1,250 spectators including 20 seats for the press and 60 seats for VIP. The ground is covered by artificial turf, and it is equipped with floodlights for illumination.The stadium is used mainly for football matches, and it is the home ground of some of the 42 amateur football clubs in the district, as well as of Fatih Vatan Spor women's football team. The venue and the Youth and Sports Center annexed also are allocated to events organized by the municipality, including summer sports schools, physical education and training of nearby schools, the annual "1453 Conquest Cup for Chess" and the traditional "Africa Football Cup and Festival" event held annually, at which citizens of more than 15 African countries living in the district take part.

Fatih Vatan Spor Kulübü is a women's football team based in Fatih, Istanbul. The team completed the 2016–17 season of Turkish Women's Second Football League as champion, and were promoted to the Turkish Women's First Football League.

Sulukule (literally: "Water tower") is a historic quarter in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is within the area of Istanbul’s historic peninsula, adjacent to the western part of the city walls. The area has historically been occupied by Romani communities. Roma presence in this part of Istanbul dates back to Byzantine times, while it is in the 15th century, upon Ottoman conquest, that the quarter became (reportedly) the first district in the world permanently settled by sedentary Romani people in Turkey.Sulukule was notable for its entertainment houses, where the Romani performed music and dance to the visitors from in and outside Istanbul. The closure of these entertainment houses in 1992 precipitated serious socio-economic decline in the area.

Bezmialem Vakıf University, originating from the roots of Gureba-i Müslimin, the first modern hospital of the Ottoman Empire that was founded in 1845 by Bezmiâlem Mother Sultana, was transformed into a university in 2010. Bezmialem Vakif University cooperates with reputable universities in the field and provides training and education on an international level. The university has more than 100 collaborations from all over the world, including Johns Hopkins University, USA, which is among the leading universities in the field of health and education. Collaboration with Johns Hopkins University is mainly to improve the curriculum of the Faculty of Medicine with the inclusion of scholarly concentration modules and training of Bezmialem's students in their last year as clerkships in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. A number of its programs have already been accredited nationally or internationally. For the last three years, the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences and Vocational School of Health Care Services have been ranked among the top universities in Turkey based on YÖK’s (The Council of Higher Education) placement (YKS) results. Bezmialem Vakıf University acts as a science university that serves the reverse brain drain with the Institutes of Health Sciences, Gastroenterology, Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Through their graduate programs, the institutes provide important contributions to the training of academicians and to developing international projects.

Emniyet—Fatih is an underground station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in west-central Fatih under Adnan Menderes Boulevard. Emniyet—Fatih was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul and Turkey and is one of the six original stations on the M1 line. The station services several important municipal buildings such as the Istanbul Police Headquarters, Fatih Municipal Building and the Istanbul Tax Offices Directorate.

The Merkezefendi Cemetery (Turkish: Merkezefendi Mezarlığı) is a burial ground situated in Merkezefendi neighborhood of Zeytinburnu district on the European part of Istanbul, Turkey. The neighborhood and the cemetery are named after Merkez Efendi, an Ottoman Islamic scholar and Sufi (1463–1552). Many renowned intellectuals, writers and artists rest in this old cemetery covering an area of 27,800 m2 (299,000 sq ft).The cemetery was established in the 16th century with the construction of the tomb of Merkez Efendi at this location. It was extended in the 1950s, and another cemetery, the Kozlu Cemetery was established 100 m (330 ft) away. The cemetery was fully renovated in 2007. At the time of the burial of former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan in 2011, a comprehensive maintenance work was carried out at the cemetery.Currently, burials are allowed only for the members of families with existing graves.

Vefa Stadı (English: Vefa Stadium) (also named Karagümrük Stadı/Arena) is a football stadium located in Fatih, Istanbul that is the home ground of Fatih Karagümrük.Vefa Stadı is occasionally in use for the promotional play-off encounters in lower tier leagues, other sports including American Football and for public holiday ceremonies.

The Health Museum is a museum located in Sultanahmet, Istanbul. The museum was founded by Hikmet Hamdi in 1918 and first exhibited tables and figures related to venereal diseases, before expanding to infectious and social diseases. Since its reorganizations in 1928 and 1939, the museum now has physiology and anatomy departments to help primary and secondary school students with the study of cancer, tuberculosis, mental health, nutritional diseases, dental health, and infectious diseases.

Fatih (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈfaːtih]) is a conservative district of and a municipality (belediye) in Istanbul, Turkey, and home to almost all of the provincial authorities (including the governor's office, police headquarters, metropolitan municipality and tax office) but not the courthouse. It encompasses the peninsula coinciding with old Constantinople. In 2009, the district of Eminönü, which had been a separate municipality located at the tip of the peninsula, was once again remerged into Fatih because of its small population. Fatih is bordered by the Golden Horn to the north and the Sea of Marmara to the south, while the Western border is demarked by the Theodosian wall and the east by the Bosphorus Strait.
