The American Clock & Watch Museum (ACWM), located in Bristol, Connecticut, is one of a very few museums in the United States dedicated solely to horology, which is the history, science and art of timekeeping and timekeepers. Located in the heart of the historic center of American clockmaking, ACWM is the world's preeminent horological museum in the area of American clocks, primarily industrial-made clocks of the 19th and early 20th century. The museum is located in a complex including the historic Miles Lewis residence, the partially relocated historic 1728 Barnes homestead, and a modern extension wing in the town of Bristol, Connecticut, the hometown of the former Ingraham and Sessions clock companies. Bristol is located north of Interstate Highway 84, about 30 minutes west of Hartford CT or two hours from New York City. The ACWM is an independent educational institution, operating under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and besides a small professional staff relies on volunteers for much of its manpower and support. Originally known as The Bristol Clock Museum, the institution was started in 1952 and acquired its site the next year.

The Townsend G. Treadway House is a historic house at 100 Oakland Street in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1915, it is one of the city's largest and finest examples of Colonial Revival architecture, designed by a major New York architectural firm. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The Federal Hill Historic District encompasses a predominantly residential area of Bristol, Connecticut, known for its high-quality 19th and early 20th-century residential architecture. Centered around the Federal Hill Green, it developed as a fashionable residential area, and features a large number of fine Italianate and Victorian houses. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Ernest R. Burwell House is a historic house at 161 Grove Street in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1918, it is an outstanding example of a Classical Revival residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Beleden House is a historic house at 50 Bellevue Avenue in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1908–10, it is a prominent and rare example of a high-quality residence in the Beaux Arts style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Bristol Historical Society Museum, located in Bristol, Connecticut, is a museum dedicated to the promotion of interest in Bristol history and encouraging an appreciation for its importance. The Bristol Historical Society collects, preserves, and interprets significant historical resources to enhance the present community and provide a historical context for future growth. The Bristol Historical Society Museum is located in Bristol's first high school on the corner of Summer and Center Streets. The building was built in 1894 with a large addition added in 1910. The brick Victorian building is built in the style known as Richardsonian Romanesque.

Copper Ledges and Chimney Crest are a pair of luxurious mansion estates on Founders Drive in Bristol, Connecticut. They were built in 1924 and 1930 for brothers Fuller and Harry Barnes, owners of the locally prominent Wallace Barnes Company, later American Spring. Both are major works by regionally prominent architects, and the pair were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Chimney Crest is in private ownership; Copper Ledges is in private ownership.

St. Stanislaus Parish (Polish language: Parafia św. Stanisława Kostki w Bristol)was originally built to serve Polish immigrants in Bristol, Connecticut, United States. It was founded in 1919 and is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Hartford.

The Clarence A. Bingham School is a historic school building at 3 North Street in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1916, the school served the city until 2010. After a period of vacancy, the city sold it and the also-closed Clara T. O'Connell School to developers for conversion to senior housing in 2015.The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Old Bristol High School, most recently the Memorial Boulevard Middle School, is a historic school building at 70 Memorial Boulevard in Bristol, Connecticut. A state of the art facility when completed in 1923, the school served the city as a high school until 1967, and is a good example of Classical Revival architecture designed by noted school architect George W. Potter. The building served as a middle school until 2012, closed down, and reopened in 2022 as Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School after considerable interior renovations. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

The Bristol Mum Festival is an annual festival in Bristol, Connecticut which includes a Mum Parade in Connecticut. The festival celebrates chrysanthemums, formerly a major product of the town, and was first held on Sunday, October 7, 1962. Opening ceremonies kicked off the celebration, now known as the Bristol Mum Festival. Amidst the floral carpet of the former Bristol Nurseries on Chippens Hill. Ralph Joerres, the first Chairman of the Festival opened the festivities inviting everyone to the first Open House events which were welcoming Bristolites to the American Clock & Watch Museum, Bristol Water Company and the newly remodeled North Side Bank & Trust Company. The members of the Chamber of Commerce and City of Bristol officials assembled a list of activities to take place over six days. They wanted to focus on the positive things happening in Bristol.When the festival opened it was originally known as the Fall Festival. In 1963 the Chrysanthemum (mum) was also added to the festival's name. Prior to 1986 (when production stopped), the nurseries in Bristol produced over 80,000 mum plants, with acres of land covered in mums. During the festival over 10,000 people would visit the nurseries. This festival went on hiatus in 2020.

The Bristol Girls' Club is a historic clubhouse facility at 47 Upson Street in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1931, it is believed to be the first purpose-built clubhouse for a branch of the Girls Club of America, a social and educational organization dedicated to improving conditions for urban and immigrant girls. The building, a fine example of Dutch Colonial Revival architecture in brick, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It now serves as the location of Chapter 126, a sports and fitness center specifically serving disabled people.
