The Vail–Trust House is a historic building located at 255 Greenbrook Road in Green Brook Township, Somerset County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 7, 2008, for its significance in architecture.

Middlesex High School (MHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in the center of Middlesex, Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Middlesex Board of Education. The school is surrounded by Mountain View Park and all of its athletic complexes, including Memorial Field. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 622 students and 54.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1. There were 118 students (19.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 44 (7.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Washington Rock State Park is a 52-acre (0.21 km2) scenic state park on top of the first Watchung Mountain in Green Brook, New Jersey. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. It is famous for its scenic overlook used by General George Washington in 1777 to monitor troops led by British General William Howe. The 30-mile (48 km) panoramic vista covers the eastern plains of New Jersey up to New York City. The land was bought in 1913 to establish the park and commemorate the events of 1777. Most of it is woodland but at the outlook there are walking trails and a picnic area.

The Middlesex Sampling Plant on Mountain Avenue in Middlesex, New Jersey, is a 9.6 acres (38,800 m2) site which was initially used to stockpile pitchblende uranium ore. From 1943 to 1955, under the direction of the Manhattan Project and its successor agency, the United States Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), it was used to crush, dry, screen, weigh, assay, store, package, and ship uranium ore, along with thorium and beryllium ores, for the development of the atomic bomb.

Dunellen High School (DHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Dunellen in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the Dunellen Public Schools. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 349 students and 33.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.3:1.
