Phoenix is a wooden roller coaster built in 1947 located at the Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. It was moved to its current location in central Pennsylvania in 1985. Prior to its purchase by Knoebels and relocation in the mid-1980s, it was operated under the name "The Rocket" at Playland Park in San Antonio, Texas.

Knoebels Amusement Resort () is a family-owned and operated amusement park, picnic grove, and campground in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1926, it is United States's largest free-admission park. The park has more than 60 rides including three wooden roller coasters, three steel roller coasters, a 1913 carousel, and 2 haunted house dark rides, among more. The amusement park is owned and operated by the Knoebel (pronounced kuh-NO-bel) family, who also operate a lumber yard next to the park. The park's name has traditionally been spelled "Knoebels" without the apostrophe, and appears that way on all official park advertising and correspondence. The park straddles the line between Northumberland and Columbia Counties. The complex is mainly in the Columbia County townships of Cleveland and Franklin and is in Ralpho Township on the Northumberland County side of the South Branch Roaring Creek. The park and its rides have won awards from organizations such as Amusement Today, American Coaster Enthusiasts, and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. In 2014, Travel Channel rated Knoebels one of their Top 10 Family Friendly Amusement Parks in the United States.

Flying Turns is a wooden bobsled roller coaster at the Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. It is modeled after a similar ride designed by John Norman Bartlett and John Miller in the 1920s. The ride concept is similar to a modern steel bobsled roller coaster; however Flying Turns is made of wood, like the original rides. The layout of the ride is most similar to the original one that was at Riverview Park in Chicago, Illinois.

The Lawrence L. Knoebel Covered Bridge is an historic, American, wooden, covered bridge that is located at Knoebels Amusement Resort, and connects Cleveland Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania and Ralpho Township in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Mugser Run is a 8.0-mile-long (12.9 km) stream in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is a tributary of South Branch Roaring Creek. Mugser Run is located in Locust and Cleveland Townships. Forested land and agricultural land are by far the most common uses of land in the watershed. Brown trout and rainbow trout are found in the creek. The main rock formations are the Trimmers Rock Formation and the Catskill Formation–Buddys Run formation.

Twister is a wooden roller coaster located at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. It is a custom wooden coaster designed by John Fetterman, with heavy inspiration taken from Mister Twister at Elitch Gardens.

The High Speed Thrill Coaster was a steel junior roller coaster which was located at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.

Impulse is a steel roller coaster located at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. It is manufactured by Zierer and is the first major steel coaster located at Knoebels since Whirlwind which closed in 2004. Impulse was the park's most expensive addition when completed in 2015.

The Richards Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge located at Cleveland Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania and Ralpho Township in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is a 64-foot-long (20 m), multiple King post and Queen Post Truss bridge, constructed in 1852. It crosses South Branch Roaring Creek and is one of 28 historic covered bridges in Columbia and Montour Counties. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Rohrbach Covered Bridge No. 24 was an historic, American, wooden covered bridge that was located in Franklin Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. The bridge was disassembled in October 1986 and the pieces are in storage at Knoebels Amusement Resort.

The Johnson Covered Bridge No. 28 is an historic, American, wooden covered bridge that is located in Cleveland Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Southern Columbia Area High School is a small, rural public high school located in Catawissa, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by Southern Columbia Area School District. In 2013, Southern Columbia Area High School reported an enrollment of 437 pupils in grades 9th through 12th. The school employed 33 teachers. Southern Columbia Area High School students may choose to attend Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School for training. The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit IU16 provides the school with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.
