Lincoln School (Huntsville, Alabama)

The Lincoln Mill and Mill Village Historic District is a historic district in Huntsville, Alabama. Opened in 1900, it quickly grew to be Huntsville's largest cotton mill in the first quarter of the 20th century. After closing in 1955, the mills were converted to office space that was used by the U.S. space program. Two of the older production buildings burned in 1980, but one main building and numerous houses built for workers remain. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Lowry House is a historic home in Huntsville, Alabama. It was built circa 1850 by John Tate Lowry, a merchant with the firm of Lowry, Hamilton and Company. Elements of an earlier Lowry family log house, built circa 1809, that stood on the site were incorporated into the new construction.Restoration of the Lowry House began in 1998 with assistance from Harvie P. Jones, a preservation architect. It took a total of four years. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service on October 29, 2001. It was subsequently listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on November 26, 2012.

Dallas Mill was a manufacturer of cotton sheeting in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. The first of four major textile mills in Huntsville, the mill operated from 1891 until 1949, before it was converted for use as a warehouse in 1955 and burned in 1991. The village, constructed to house workers and their families, was incorporated into the city in 1955. The mill and its mill village are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Kildare–McCormick House is a historic residence in Huntsville, Alabama. The highly ornate, Queen Anne-style mansion was built in 1886–87. Its early owners contributed to the development of Huntsville, both through industrial projects and philanthropic efforts. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Goldsmith–Schiffman Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. From 1934 through 2012, it was used mainly for middle school and high school football. It was also home to the Huntsville Rockets from 1962 through 1967 and the now-defunct Alabama Renegades of the National Women's Football Association.

The Clemens House in Huntsville, Alabama was built in 1835. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The house was originally located at the southeast corner of Clinton Avenue and Church Street, but was moved to the southeast corner of Pratt Avenue and Meridian Street in 2004.

The Vaught House (also known as the Nicholson House) is a historic residence in Huntsville, Alabama. It was built in 1900 in what was then the East Huntsville Addition, a suburb made up primarily of company houses for nearby cotton mills. Its Victorian architecture style set it apart from its more modest bungalow neighbors. The house has an irregular plan, and its hipped roof features several dormers and gables. Centered on the façade is a single-story pedimented portico leading to the main entrance, and above it is a small pedimented balcony accessed from the upstairs bedroom. Both pediments are decorated with jigsawed designs. Both doors on the front feature rectangular transoms. A curved porch runs from the main portico around the southwest corner of the house; it originally featured Stick-Eastlake style frieze and balustrade, but was later replaced with a solid frieze and closely spaced rectangular balusters. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. It is included in the Five Points Historic District, which was listed on the National Register in 2012.

The Old Town Historic District was the second historic district in Huntsville, Alabama. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 18, 1978. Roughly bounded by Dement and Lincoln Sts., and Randolph and Walker Avenues, it features homes in a variety of styles including Victorian, Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne, American Craftsman, and even Prairie School with homes dating from the late 1820s through the early 20th century. The Old Town Historic District had its beginnings in 1973, when local architect Harvie Jones suggested to home owners Charles E. and Frances J. Rice that they create another district to include the 19th century homes that remained outside of the Twickenham Historic District. The Rices accordingly began obtaining the necessary petitions and documents to gain first local, then state and finally national recognition for the Old Town Historic District. They were supported in their efforts by then Huntsville mayor Joe W. Davis, Madison County Commissioner Tilman Hill, and Alabama U. S. Senator John Sparkman. The Rices were later honored by the Alabama Historical Commission for their contributions to historic preservation, and in 2009 a small park in Old Town was named after them.

The Huntsville bus crash involved a school bus carrying 40 students from Lee High School and a car, both heading to the Huntsville Center for Technology, which occurred on November 20, 2006, on an elevated portion of Interstate 565 in Huntsville, Alabama.

Huntsville Bible College is a non-denominational Christian seminary in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 1986, the college offers both associate degrees and bachelor's degrees in Christian Education, Mission and Evangelism, and Pastoral Ministry, as well as a bachelor's in Theology. With 72 students and 13 faculty members, it is one of the smallest post-secondary institutes in Alabama.

The Times Building is one of the oldest and tallest buildings in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Standing at 125 feet (38 m), the twelve story skyscraper opened in December 1928 as the headquarters for The Huntsville Times. The building, which is primarily used for office space, is located at the intersection of Holmes Avenue and Greene Street on the north side of Downtown Huntsville. In 1980, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Temple B'nai Sholom (transliterated from Hebrew as "Sons of Peace") is an historic Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 103 Lincoln Street SE, in Huntsville, Alabama, in the United States. Founded as a congregation on July 30, 1876, the current synagogue building was dedicated on November 26, 1899. It is the oldest synagogue building in continuous use in the state.
