Clemens House (Huntsville, Alabama)

Goldsmith–Schiffman Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Huntsville, Alabama. From 1934 through 2012, it was used mainly for middle school and high school football. It was also home to the Huntsville Rockets from 1962 through 1967 and the now-defunct Alabama Renegades of the National Women's Football Association.

The Old Town Historic District was the second historic district in Huntsville, Alabama. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 18, 1978. Roughly bounded by Dement and Lincoln Sts., and Randolph and Walker Avenues, it features homes in a variety of styles including Victorian, Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne, American Craftsman, and even Prairie School with homes dating from the late 1820s through the early 20th century. The Old Town Historic District had its beginnings in 1973, when local architect Harvie Jones suggested to home owners Charles E. and Frances J. Rice that they create another district to include the 19th century homes that remained outside of the Twickenham Historic District. The Rices accordingly began obtaining the necessary petitions and documents to gain first local, then state and finally national recognition for the Old Town Historic District. They were supported in their efforts by then Huntsville mayor Joe W. Davis, Madison County Commissioner Tilman Hill, and Alabama U. S. Senator John Sparkman. The Rices were later honored by the Alabama Historical Commission for their contributions to historic preservation, and in 2009 a small park in Old Town was named after them.

The Times Building is one of the oldest and tallest buildings in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Standing at 125 feet (38 m), the twelve story skyscraper opened in December 1928 as the headquarters for The Huntsville Times. The building, which is primarily used for office space, is located at the intersection of Holmes Avenue and Greene Street on the north side of Downtown Huntsville. In 1980, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Temple B'nai Sholom (transliterated from Hebrew as "Sons of Peace") is an historic Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 103 Lincoln Street SE, in Huntsville, Alabama, in the United States. Founded as a congregation on July 30, 1876, the current synagogue building was dedicated on November 26, 1899. It is the oldest synagogue building in continuous use in the state.

Belk Hudson Lofts (also known as Fowler's Department Store or the Lowe-Kilgore Building) is an apartment building in Huntsville, Alabama. Originally two buildings, the first was built on the corner of Washington Street and Holmes Avenue in 1930 to house Fowler's Department Store, one of several department stores on Washington Street (including Dunnavant's and Kress). The second building, adjacent to the first along Holmes, was constructed in 1936 as a farm supply store. Fowler's went bankrupt in 1938, and Belk Husdon purchased the corner building in 1940. Beginning in 1944, they also leased the Holmes building, and the two were joined. After Belk Husdon left the downtown area, the building was renovated into offices in the 1980s. The one-story Holmes building was occupied by Olde Towne Brewing Company from 2004 until 2007, when the building was destroyed by fire. In the 2010s, the corner building was reconstructed into a loft apartment building, with the original façade kept largely intact.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Huntsville Female College (1851–1895) was in Huntsville, Alabama. George Gilliam Steele was the architect who designed the school. The school burned January 4, 1895. A historical marker commemorates its history.

The Downtown Chevron Station was a historic service station in Huntsville, Alabama. Built in 1919, it was one of the first buildings in the city tailored to the automobile. The center section of the station was built of brick in a style similar to other commercial and residential buildings in the area. The windows were large panes topped with three vertical panes (a style commonly seen on bungalows), and the main entrance had a similar transom. The hipped roof extended from the building towards the corner of Clinton Avenue and Greene Street, providing cover for the pumps. Flat-roofed service bays with multi-pane sash windows were added along the Clinton Avenue side in 1929 and 1938. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It has been demolished since its listing, and a modern office building is on the site.

The W. L. Halsey Warehouse is a historic warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama. The two-story brick structure was built in 1904 by the W. L. Halsey grocery company. The façade is divided into six bays by locally produced cast iron columns. Originally, the street level presented a fully glass storefront, but all bays but the doorway have been covered with wood panels. Windows on the second floor are one-over-one sashes topped with decorative brick arches; ten similar windows on the side of the building facing Meridian Street have been covered. The cornice has sunburst patterns alternating with triangular brackets. A panel over the center of the cornice reads "W.L. Halsey - 1904".The area of Jefferson Street was known as "Grocery Row", due to the number of grocery, vegetable, and fruit warehouses on the block. The W. L. Halsey Warehouse is across the street from the Halsey Grocery Warehouse, which is adjacent to 305 Jefferson Street, the Kelly Brothers and Rowe Building, and the Lombardo Building. The buildings lie one block south of the Huntsville Depot.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church is a historic church in Huntsville, Alabama and is the oldest Catholic church in North Alabama. It began construction in 1861 but was interrupted by the Civil War. The church was completed in 1877. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Lincoln School is a historic school building in Huntsville, Alabama. Built in 1929 as part of the Lincoln Mill Village, the school became part of the city school system in the 1950s. The city sold the building to a private school in 2011. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Everett Building is a historic commercial building in Huntsville, Alabama. Built in 1899, it represents the Commercial Brick style of the late 1800s and early 1900s that eschewed the applied decoration of the Victorian style. The two-story building is divided into five storefronts, although only the southernmost two have entrances today. The upper floor is divided by pilasters between tightly spaced, one-over-one sash windows. Decorative patterned reliefs sit below each window. The building is topped with a parapet that has a course of dentils between courses of stepped brick. The center part of the parapet is raised, and flanked by a short, capped column pieces. The northern bay is visually separated from the others by a pilaster stretching the entire height of the building, and was formerly left unpainted, suggesting it may have been built at another time. A covered, tree-lined alley separates the building from the Yarbrough Hotel to the north. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Lombardo Building is a historic warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama. The three-story brick structure was built in 1922. The façade is divided into three bays by four piers. The center and right bays each have a double entry door with transom and sidelights, while the left bay contains a group of four one-over-one sash windows topped with a transom. Each of the upper floors has groups of three one-over-one windows. Each bay is topped with three decorative corbels, below a stepped parapet. The center of the parapet is marked with "LOMBARDO" and "1922".The area of Jefferson Street was known as "Grocery Row", due to the number of grocery, vegetable, and fruit warehouses on the block.
