Warrington Transporter Bridge

Whitecross railway station was in the Whitecross area of Warrington, England. It was built and operated by the St Helens and Runcorn Gap Railway as a temporary terminus on its line pushing east from Widnes to join with the Warrington & Stockport Railway pushing west from Altrincham. Its exact location is open to debate, as no trace remains. Tolson cites the line's inspector, Captain Wynne, as giving the Whitecross to Arpley extension as the very precise 45.75 chains (0.920 km), but as the location of the Arpley datum point is unclear then the location of Whitecross station is also precisely unclear. Tolson concludes that the station was probably 'just east of Litton Mill Crossing'. The map reference and co-ordinates used in the station data above are based on an interpretation of the map repeatedly used in the Disused Stations UK website, although that site does not include a prose section on Whitecross station. The admirably frank 8D Association site concludes "The site of this station has been completely lost with the building works that have occurred in the area we do not believe any pictures exist or that the site of the station can be located."The line through the station site continued in passenger use until 10 September 1962 when the Liverpool Lime St to Warrington via Widnes South service was withdrawn, though a lone late night Liverpool to York Postal continued to use the route until 9 September 1963, when it was diverted via Earlestown to reduce operating costs. Warrington Bank Quay Low Level remained open until 14 June 1965 but it is unclear what traffic this served along the route after the Postal was diverted. In 2015 the tracks through the station site remained heavily used, primarily by trains to and from Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, though a few other booked freights and occasional diversions used the line through to Ditton Junction.

Warrington Bank Quay is one of three railway stations serving the town centre of Warrington in Cheshire, England. It is a principal stop on the West Coast Main Line between London Euston and Glasgow Central. The station is a north–south oriented main-line station on one side of the main shopping area, with the west–east oriented Warrington West and Warrington Central operating a more frequent service to the neighbouring cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Cheshire Cat Buses are operated from the station into Warrington Bus Interchange and in the opposite direction to the Centre Park business park, Stockton Heath and further south into Cheshire.

The Museum of Policing in Cheshire is a museum that focuses on law enforcement and its history in the county of Cheshire. It is based in Warrington Police station. The exhibits include uniforms from history, and a Doctor Who police box. A book based upon the museum archives was published in 2014.

Warrington Town Hall is in the town of Warrington, Cheshire, England. It consists of a house, originally called Bank Hall, flanked by two detached service wings at right angles to the house, one on each side. The house and the service wings are each recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated Grade I listed buildings. Being in that part of the town north of the River Mersey, the house falls within the historic county of Lancashire. The architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner declared it to be "the finest house of its date in south Lancashire".

Warrington Hospital is a health facility at Warrington in Cheshire, England. It is managed by Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The Parr Hall is the only surviving professional concert hall venue in Warrington, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Bath Street drill hall is a former military installation in Warrington, Cheshire.

Warrington Museum & Art Gallery is on Bold Street in the Cultural Quarter of Warrington in a Grade II listed building that it shares with the town's Central Library. The Museum and the Library originally opened in 1848 as the first rate-supported library in the UK, before moving to their current premises in 1858. The art galleries were subsequently added in 1877 and 1931. Operated by Culture Warrington, Warrington Museum and Art Gallery has the distinction of being one of the oldest municipal museums in the UK and much of the quintessential character of the building has been preserved.

Warrington Arpley railway station was a station located on the south side of Wilson Patten Street, Warrington, England at the junction of St Helens Railway and Warrington and Stockport Railway. It opened on 1 May 1854; and it closed to passengers on 5 September 1958. Both railways were absorbed by the LNWR. The station was on the southmost Liverpool to Manchester line.

Bewsey and Whitecross is a ward to the west of the town centre of Warrington (and includes much of the town centre), in the Warrington district, in the ceremonial county of Lancashire, England. The town's General Hospital is within the ward. The area is served by the 16/16A bus route from Dallam to Warrington. Sankey Valley Park runs through Bewsey, there are community centres at Whitecross and Bewsey Park, and a community and health hub is to be built to serve the former council estates of Bewsey and Dallam. There are five primary schools, while the nearest high schools are Beamont Collegiate Academy in the Orford area, Great Sankey High School in Great Sankey, and St Gregory's RC High School.

Golden Square Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Warrington, England. It is the town's main shopping centre. Golden Square first opened in 1974, and included a Marks & Spencer store. The mall has 675,000 square feet (63,000 sq m) of floor space and 133 units. The name of the mall comes from a historic map of the area which referred to a property on the site owned by a man with the surname Goulden. In November 1979, Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip visited the shopping centre. The mall was redeveloped in 2007, with new retailers such as Oasis and H&M. The £120 million redevelopment added 60 new stores and 365,000 square feet of floor space, anchored by a 115,000 square foot Debenhams department store. The extension of the 28-year-old shopping centre was the work of the Warrington Retail Limited Partnership, a partnership of Lend Lease Retail, Legal and General Property and a client of Arlington Investors. LaSalle Investment Management acquired Golden Square on behalf of the Alaskan State Pension Fund for £141m in 2014. In 2023, Adhan Group completed its acquisition of the shopping centre, taking over the 250-year leasehold from the pension fund. Other notable tenants include Next, River Island, TK Maxx, Topshop and New Look. Golden Square is connected to Warrington's main bus interchange, which was added during the 2007 redevelopment. The mall is located near Warrington Central railway station.

St Alban's Church is in Bewsey Street near to the centre of the town of Warrington, Cheshire, England. It is an active Roman Catholic church in the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The church forms part of the parish of Sacred Heart and Saint Alban. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
