Richards Park (Waxahachie, Texas)

The West End Historic District in Waxahachie, Texas is a 77-acre (31 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is mainly seven blocks of W. Main St. and four blocks of W. Jefferson St., and includes properties on cross streets as well (see map on page 67 of NRHP document).It includes Classical Revival and Queen Anne architecture. Joshua Chapel A.M.E. Church is a historic church at 110 N. Aiken St. Waxahachie, Texas. It was built in 1917 and added to the National Register in 1986.

Central Presbyterian Church (CPC) is a historic church at 402 N. College in Waxahachie, Texas.

The Ellis County African American Hall of Fame Museum and Library was established to recognize and tell the stories of African Americans with ties to the city of Waxahachie, Texas. The museum and library are housed in a historic fraternal building in Waxahachie, Texas. The building was built in 1926 and housed a lodge of the Colored Knights of Pythias. The building was listed as endangered before being restored and receiving funding for roof work.The museum and library, which opened in 2016, are at 441 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Jamal Rasheed, CEO and President of the Hall of Fame, has spoken about the area’s Prince Hall Cemetery, efforts to preserve it and the veterans buried there.

The Chautauqua Auditorium is a performance hall located in Getzendaner Memorial Park, in Waxahachie, Texas. It was built in 1902 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 3, 1974. The hall seats 2500 and is noted for being an octagonal building. The auditorium hosts performances of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra as well as many country music and other shows.

Waxahachie ( WOK-sə-HA-chee) is the county seat of Ellis County, Texas, United States. Its population was 41,140 in 2020.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) is a private Christian university in Waxahachie, Texas. SAGU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and endorsed by the Assemblies of God USA. The university offers associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a variety of liberal arts programs, as well as programs in Bible and church ministries.

Saint Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic church building at 308 N. Monroe in Waxahachie, Texas. The Gothic Revival church building was constructed in 1885 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Waxahachie High School of Choice is an alternative high school for at-risk students in Waxahachie Independent School District, Texas. The campus includes a District Challenge Academy (where students are sent for bad behavior) as well as a day care center. The school is located at Turner Learning Center in Waxahachie, Texas. All students that attend WHSoC are automatically put on the Texas Minimum Graduation Plan. Students who qualify for WHSoC are students with grade problems, behavioral problems, or hardships.

William Lewis House in Waxahachie, Texas, United States, is a Queen Anne house built in 1888. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.It is a two-story asymmetric wood-frame building with weatherboard siding and jig-sawn brackets supporting its roof. It was listed on the National Register along with many other Waxahatchie properties identified as historic resources in a 1986 study. The house was deemed to be an "outstanding locally significant representative of Queen Anne" style.

Waxahachie Global High School is a high school in Waxahachie, Texas, founded in 2007 on the historic T.C. Wilemon campus. It is one of only 91 STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) academies in the state of Texas. It was additionally granted Early College High School status in 2009 through a partnership with Navarro College, allowing students to earn an associate degree along with their high school diploma. Recently, as of the start of the 2013-2014 school year, Global High made a partnership with UT Tyler for all the STEM-based college courses offered at Global. As a public charter school, students from Ellis County and surrounding areas can attend regardless of zoning. Many students commute from surrounding cities such as Waxahachie, Red Oak, Ennis, Maypearl, Midlothian, Palmer, Italy, Cedar Hill, and Desoto. In 2014, Waxahachie Global was named the "Best High School" by the U.S. News & World Report. Starting in the 2018-19 school year, the Global campus is located in the Billy R. Hancock Building (formerly the Ninth Grade Academy).

Lumpkins Stadium is a stadium in Waxahachie, Texas. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Waxahachie Indians. The stadium is named for Stuart B. Lumpkins, a former superintendent of Waxahachie Independent School District. In 2011, the stadium received renovations that were funded through a city bond. In addition to serving as the home field for the Waxahachie Indians football team, Lumpkins also hosts Waxahachie Indian soccer and an annual track and field meet. The stadium has also been used as a neutral site for University Interscholastic League playoff games in both football and soccer. Southwestern Assemblies of God University also holds its home football games at the stadium.
