Clarks Fork is an unincorporated community in Cooper County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is located on Missouri Route 87 approximately one mile southeast of the stream Clark Fork. Boonville is approximately seven miles to the northwest.

Clark Fork is a stream in Cooper County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Petite Saline Creek. The stream headwaters arise at 38°47′06″N 92°43′39″W at an elevation of approximately 877 feet just south of Missouri Route J and 3.5 miles east of Bunceton. The stream flows to the northeast and north passing under Missouri Route 87 approximately one mile northwest of the community of Clarks Fork. Its confluence with the Petite Saline Creek is at 38°55′21″N 92°40′07″W and an elevation of 597 feet. The confluence is approximately 4.5 miles southeast of Booneville.Clark Fork bears the name of a pioneer settler.

Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Jesse Viertel Memorial Airport is assigned VER by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA (which assigned VER to General Heriberto Jara International Airport in Veracruz, Mexico). "On November 30, 2014, about 0857 central standard time (CST), a Bellanca model 17-30A single-engine airplane, N6629V, was substantially damaged when it collided with terrain during landing approach to runway 36 at Jesse Viertel Memorial Airport (VER), Boonville, Missouri. The commercial pilot was fatally injured and his three passengers were seriously injured".

The city was the site of a skirmish early in the Civil War, on July 17, 1861. Union forces defeated the Missouri State Guard in the first Battle of Boonville. Also on the property are the contributing brick smokehouse and stone cellar.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
