Lakeview Historic District (Cheyenne, Wyoming)

The Moreton Frewen House, at 506 E. 23rd St. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, also known as the Everett V. Hall House, was built in 1881. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It is significant for its association with stockman Moreton Frewen, and also as a well-preserved historic house.

Keefe Row, at E. 22nd St. and Evans Ave. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was built in 1892. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.It is a row of nine one-and-a-half-story brick residences. All are built on rusticated sandstone foundations.They were designed by Cheyenne architect J.P. Julien.

The Crook House in Cheyenne, Wyoming, also known as Gibbons House, is a Queen Anne-style house that was built in 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.It is associated with Dr. William W. Crook, who was one of the first doctors in Cheyenne, arriving in 1875 after practicing in Kansas. The house was for a while the state Governor's Mansion.Its National Register nomination asserted it is one of few remaining examples of Queen Anne architecture in Wyoming. In this example, the "foremost architectural components are visible at the front elevations and include a projecting, gabled bay, a pedimented, hip-roofed veranda, and a substantial square tower with a pyramidal roof and ornate finial. These main parts are massed in an asymmetrical, but balanced, composition.": 3 The listing included three other contributing buildings: a carriage house (1885) with chutes in place from a grain bin in its second story, a coal storage house, and a former chicken house that is now a covered patio.: 5 

The Wyoming State Museum is a state-run museum established in 1895 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is the official state repository for material concerning Wyoming history and cultural heritage.Permanent exhibit themes include coal, flora and fauna, fossils, Wyoming settlement, Native American culture and history, the National Park Service in Wyoming, and other Wyoming-related issues. The museum also hosts a variety of temporary exhibits and provides traveling exhibits to cultural institutions in Wyoming and surrounding states.

The Ferdinand Lafrentz House, at 2015 Warren Ave. in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was built in 1882. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.It has elements of Queen Anne style and was deemed "representative of the type of frame cottage that was built in Cheyenne during the last quarter of the nineteenth century."It is significant in part for its association with three persons of importance: Lloyd Fredendall, whose father owned the house, and who became Lieutenant-General in the U.S. Army, notably serving in North Africa in 1942 and becoming a commander of the Second Army in 1943 Ferdinand W. Lafrentz, who owned the house during the 1884-87 Robert N. LaFontaine, a Cheyenne contractor.

Storey Gymnasium, also known as Cheyenne High School Gymnasium, was built in 1950 on the campus of Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. The brick gymnasium was designed by Cheyenne architect Frederic Hutchinson Porter to include additional functions associated with the school's ROTC program, with an armory, rifle range and drill halls in addition to classrooms, shops and music spaces. The contractor was Loren Hancock, who built it at a cost of $646,611.66. It was named for William Storey, a member of the school Board of Trustees. When East High School was built in 1965 the facility was shared between East and Central.The two-story brick building measures about 240 feet (73 m) by 180 feet (55 m). It features plain surfaces and uninterrupted horizontal lines without ornamentation beyond horizontal brick features in the upper portion. The center section houses a gymnasium illuminated by glass block windows set in a clerestory. It seated 4,500 for basketball when it first opened and is still in use for sporting events, circuses, graduation ceremonies, and other special events. Storey Gymnasium was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 22, 2005.In September of 2016, the gymnasium seating was replaced with all black seats.

The Capitol North Historic District in Cheyenne, Wyoming is a 20.4 acres (8.3 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The district is roughly bounded by E. 29th, and E. 25th St., Warren and Pioneer Avenues. It included 112 contributing buildings, a contributing structure, and two contributing objects.Located near to the Wyoming State Capitol and other state buildings, it includes mostly frame construction cottages built for the middle to upper class market. It includes numerous houses where governors, judges, and other professionals have lived, including for example the Governor Leslie Miller Home on the 200 block of W. 26th St. Included in the southwest corner of the district is Gilchrist Park.

St. Mary's Cathedral is the cathedral and parish church in the Diocese of Cheyenne located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Cheyenne High School at 2810 House Avenue in Cheyenne, Wyoming is a Late Gothic Revival-style building which was built in 1921. It has also been known as Central High School and as Laramie County School District No.1 Administration Building and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.It is a three-story Collegiate Gothic style building which is 250 by 220 feet (76 m × 67 m) in plan. Its walls are reinforced concrete with brick faces. It was designed by architect William Dubois and built by contractor John W. Howard.The school district served was eventually split up. The Wyoming State Capitol is the state capitol and seat of government of the U.S. state of Wyoming. Built between 1886 and 1890, the capitol is located in Cheyenne and contains the chambers of the Wyoming State Legislature as well as the office of the Governor of Wyoming. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1987. The Capitol underwent an extensive three-year renovation and reopened to the public on July 10, 2019.

The Charles L. Beatty House, also known as the Kendrick Building, on Capitol Avenue in Cheyenne, Wyoming, was built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.It is an American Foursquare house designed by architect William Robert Dubois. The listing included two contributing buildings.It is located across from the Wyoming State Capitol. The building was the home of the Wyoming Arts Council for two decades, until January 2015, when WAC moved to the Barrett Building, co-locating with the Wyoming State Museum.
