Molla Çelebi Mosque

The Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (Turkish: Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi, or MSGSÜ) is a Turkish state university dedicated to higher education in the fine arts. It is located in the Fındıklı neighbuorhood of Beyoğlu, İstanbul, Turkey.Founded in 1882 by Osman Hamdi Bey, the institution imitated the traditional European Beaux-Arts model and was the first Western-style art academy of its kind in the Middle East.The Mimar Sinan Fine Arts High Schools in İstanbul and Ankara are nothing to do with the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

Kabataş is a busy waterside area of Beyoğlu municipality on the European shore of the Bosphorus between Karaköy and Beşiktaş in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a major transport interchange served by the T1 tram line to Bağcılar and the funicular railway to Taksm Square. Ferries depart for Üsküdar and Kadıköy on the Asian shore as well as to the Princes Islands. There are also high-speed ferry services to Bursa.

Kabataş is an underground station and eastern terminus of the F1 funicular line of the Istanbul Metro. The station is located under Meclis-i Mebusan Avenue in northeastern Beyoğlu. Connections to the T1 tram line, ferry service and city bus service are available on the surface. Kabataş station was opened on 29 June 2006, 28 days after the T1 tram line was extended north from Eminönü to Kabataş. The station has become an important transfer point between ferry and rapid transit.

The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival (Turkish: Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festivali), known for a few years from 2015 as Antalya International Film Festival, is a film festival, held annually since 1963 in Antalya, and is the second most important film festival in Turkey. Since 2009, the event, which takes place in the autumn months at the Antalya Cultural Center (Antalya Kültür Merkezi, AKM), has been organised solely by the Antalya Foundation for Culture and Arts (Antalya Kültür Sanat Vakfı, AKSAV) and has included an international section within the main body of the festival.

The Atatürk Cultural Center (Turkish: Atatürk Kültür Merkezi), commonly called the AKM, is a concert hall, theatre and cultural centre running along the eastern side of Taksim Square in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. Cihangir is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Beyoğlu, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 3,739 (2022). It is between Taksim Square and Kabataş. It has many narrow streets, two parks, and many street cafes especially in and around Akarsu Yokuşu Sokağı. The neighbourhood has a bohemian reputation. It is known for its artists, writers, actors, and expatriates - as well as large army of street cats. It was also a stronghold for protesters during the Gezi Park protests.Cihangir was named after Şehzade Cihangir whose heart-broken father, Suleiman the Magnificent, had Mimar Sinan build a mosque overlooking the Bosphorus to commemorate his death. The name means "conqueror" in Turkish and, in turn, comes from the Persian compound word jahan + gir (جهانگیر), meaning "conqueror of the world". Today, the Cihangir Mosque, originally built in 1559 but reconstructed in 1889, offers views across the Bosphorus to Sarayburnu.In 2012, the British newspaper The Guardian included Cihangir and neighbouring Çukurcuma in the list of the five best places in the world to live, next to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in Spain; the district of Sankt Pauli, in Hamburg, the north coast of Maui, in Hawaii and Portland, in the state of Oregon (United States).Ece Temelkuran wrote that this neighbourhood is like Soho, Manhattan.

Taksim is an underground rapid transit complex. It is located in central Beyoğlu under Taksim Square in Istanbul. The complex is serviced by the M2 line of the Istanbul Metro and the Kabataş-Taksim Funicular (F1) line. Taksim was opened on 16 September 2000 as the southern terminus of the M2 until the line was extended to Yenikapı in 2014. On 29 June 2006 the Kabataş-Taksim funicular station was opened, offering shuttle service to Kabataş. Taksim is the busiest station on the M2 Line as well as the Istanbul Metro. Connections to Havabüs express bus service to Sabiha Gökçen Airport are available.

The Taksim German Hospital (Turkish: Taksim Alman Hastanesi) is a health care institution in Cihangir, Istanbul which is owned by the Universal Hospitals Group since 1992. It was closed for a three-year refurbishment and re-opened in 1995. The hospital had around 300 beds. It shut down most of its clinics during 2013 and closed its doors indefinitely following a temporary, one-month closure in 2014.The hospital was founded in 1852 by three nurses working to the model of German Pastor Theodor Fliedner.

The Dolmabahçe Mosque is a baroque waterside mosque in Kabataş in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey, close to the Dolmabahçe Palace. It was commissioned by queen mother Bezmi Alem Valide Sultan and designed by the Turkish Armenian architect, Garabet Balyan in 1855. After his mother's death, Sultan Abdülmecid, saw the building work through to completion. The mosque has twin minarets and is distinguished by the huge stone arches on its facades which are cut with large windows, allowig light to flood the interior. From 1956-60 the mosque provided a venue for the Naval Museum, only resuming prayer services in 1967. Road-widening robbed it of its courtyard and sebil that were originally part of the design.
