University of the Cumberlands

WCCR-LP (94.5 FM) was a low power college radio station last owned and operated by University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Founded in 2004, it was a 24-hours a day student-run radio station. It went dark on April 29, 2022. Its license was deleted on March 24, 2023.

Williamsburg is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Whitley County, on the southeastern border of Kentucky, United States. The population was 5,326 at the 2020 census. Developed along the Cumberland River, the city was founded in 1818 and named after William Whitley.

The Clear Fork is a 42.8-mile-long (68.9 km) tributary of the Cumberland River in Kentucky and Tennessee. By the Cumberland and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The Clear Fork rises in Bell County, Kentucky, just north of the Tennessee state line. It flows west-southwest, crossing into Claiborne County, Tennessee, and passing the village of Clairfield. Turning more to the northwest, it crosses into Whitley County, Kentucky, and continues to the Cumberland River just east of Williamsburg. The river is paralleled by Tennessee State Route 90 for much of its upper course, then by U.S. Route 25W and Tennessee State Route 9 to the Kentucky border. In Kentucky, the river valley is used by U.S. Route 25W and Interstate 75.

Kentucky Splash Waterpark is an amusement park which includes a waterpark, miniature golf course, driving range and campground in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Whitley County is a county located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,712. Its county seat is at Williamsburg, though the largest city is Corbin, and the county's District Court (a trial court of limited jurisdiction) sits in both cities. Whitley County is included in the London, KY Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Licensed to Williamsburg, Kentucky, United States, the station is currently owned by Whitley Broadcasting Co., Inc. and features news from Fox News Radio and programming from ABC Radio. The station is the flagship radio affiliate for University of the Cumberlands Patriots and Whitley County Colonels high school athletics and is also an affiliate of the UK IMG Sports Network (University of Kentucky Wildcats athletics).

Emlyn is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States. Its population was 427 as of the 2010 census. Emlyn has a post office with ZIP code 40730, which opened on May 29, 1902. U.S. Route 25W passes through the community.

Wofford is an unincorporated community and coal town in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States. It is located approximately three miles north-northeast of Williamsburg on Route 26.

Goldbug is an unincorporated community located in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States. A post office was established in the community in 1896. The name Goldbug is thought to refer to supporters of the central gold standard issue in the 1896 United States presidential election.

Yaden is an unincorporated community located in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States.

WEKX (102.7 FM, "We Rock 102.7") is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock music format. Licensed to Jellico, Tennessee, United States, the station is currently owned by Whitley Broadcasting Co., Inc. and features programming from Westwood One.

Pleasant View is a census-designated place, unincorporated community and coal town in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States. Their post office closed in 1965.
