Athlone Boys' High School is a boys-only high school located in, Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Union Observatory also known as Johannesburg Observatory (078) is a defunct astronomical observatory in Johannesburg, South Africa that was operated between 1903 and 1971. It is located on Observatory Ridge, the city's highest point at 1,808 metres altitude in the suburb Observatory.The observatory and its former annex, the § Leiden Southern Station, are known for the discovery of 6,000 double stars and for Proxima Centauri, made by astronomer Robert Innes. At the observatory, 578 identifications of minor planet were made, a record number at the time. The Minor Planet Center credits the observatory as the site where 147 minor planets were discovered by astronomers Harry Wood, Cyril Jackson, Hendrik van Gent, Ernest Johnson, Ejnar Hertzsprung, Jacobus Bruwer and Joseph Churms (see § List of discovered minor planets).

The neighbourhood today is usually called Yeoville due to their very close proximity, same demographics and notoriety, leading to the whole area now known as Greater Yeoville, combining Bellevue, Bellevue East and Yeoville. Radoma Court was designed in 1937 by the Harold Le Roith practice of architects. It is situated prominently on a corner site in Bellevue, at stand 474 where Cavendish and Yeo Streets meet. At the time of construction, it was considered the most important block of flats in the international style of the modern movement. Clive Chipkin describes Radoma Court as ‘a stunning building’ and it has gained iconic status. A corner building, Radoma Court has its facade on the South and West boundaries of Cavendish and Yeo streets in Bellevue, Gauteng. Erected prior to the war, the building comprises 27 flats, of which 4 have two bedrooms and the rest are bachelor flats, and a basement parking garage. The building has been published both in South Africa and overseas and is regarded by student and architects as iconic.

St Aidan's Anglican Church was established in Yeoville as a daughter church to St Augustine's church in Doornfontein. The foundation stone was laid on 14 December 1912. The nave was extended in 1922 and the building was finally completed in 1937.
