Killulta Church is a medieval church and a National Monument in County Limerick, Ireland.

The River Maigue ( Irish: An Mháigh, meaning 'river of the plain') rises in the Milford area of north County Cork, Ireland. The River Maigue is 38.75 miles long. It drains an area of 1,000 km2It is joined by the small River Glen and the larger River Loobagh in south County Limerick. It then flows north through Bruree, after which it augmented by the River Morning Star. It flows through Croom and Adare before entering the Shannon Estuary (Irish: An tSionainn) just north of Ferry Bridge (Between) Kildimo and Clarina, County Limerick, just west of Limerick city. The River Maigue is tidal up to Adare on the N21 Road Bridge.

Adare GAA club is a GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. In 2003, they narrowly missed out on winning three county titles in a row after losing out to Patrickswell in the final. However, Adare managed to complete a historic 3-in-a-row in 2007 and 2008 and 2009. 2008 marked their first win in the Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship when they overcame Toomevara. They were subsequently defeated in the Munster Final by De La Salle on a scoreline of 0–10 to 1-09.Adare saw a sharp rise in Limerick football prominence winning consecutive promotion through the Junior B, Junior A and Intermediate ranks from 1999, 2000, 2001 respectively. Adare were defeated by Monaleen after a replay in the 2002 Limerick Senior Football Championship. Adare's second Senior Final appearance was in 2010, where they were again defeated by Monaleen. In 2016, Adare won the Limerick Intermediate Football Championship and subsequently gained promotion back to Limerick Senior Football Championship. In the same year, Adare then became the first Limerick club to beat Cork opposition in the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship overcoming Kiskeam in the Munster Semi-Final. Adare were defeated by a formidable Kenmare Shamrocks team in the Munster Club Final. In 2017, the club again made history winning the County Senior Championship for the first time, beating Newcastle West in the Final. In 2018, the club went on to retain the title, becoming the first team in history to win 2 senior titles immediately following success at intermediate level. In 2020, Adare then secured a third Senior Championship title beating Ballylanders comprehensively in the Final.

Kilgobbin House is a country house in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland. Kilgobbin was the original seat of the Quin family, and mostly served as the dower house after the construction of Adare Manor. In 1777, Sir Richard Quin, later created 1st Earl of Dunraven, married Lady Frances Muriel Fox-Strangways, a daughter of Stephen Fox-Strangways, 1st Earl of Ilchester. Richard's father, Windham Quin, gave him Kilgobbin, where the couple lived until Quin inherited Adare Manor. In the 1980s, Thady Wyndham-Quin, 7th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl, sold Adare Manor, and Kilgobbin returned to being the family seat. The peerages became extinct on the death of the 7th Earl in 2011.

The Adare Friary, located in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland, formerly known as the "Black Abbey", is an Augustinian Friary founded in 1316 by the Earl of Kildare. It is now known as "St. Nicholas' Church of Ireland" parish church, and St Nicholas' National School. It is a nationally ranked building in the NIAH register.

Salesian Secondary College, formerly Copsewood College, is a secondary school located outside the village of Pallaskenry, County Limerick, Ireland. The school campus is owned by the Salesians and shared with Pallaskenry Agricultural College. As of 2024, there were over 700 students enrolled in the school's co-educational program.The school's webpage describes its mission as providing an education based on Catholic values while incorporating the characteristics of Salesian Education. The basis of that pedagogy is the Salesian Preventive System, which is based on the experience of the 19th-century Saint John Bosco.

Adare (; Irish: Áth Dara, meaning 'ford of [the] oak') is a village in County Limerick, Ireland, located south-west of the city of Limerick. Adare is designated as a heritage town by the Irish government. The village is in a townland and civil parish of the same name.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Pallaskenry, County Limerick, Ireland. It was founded in 1906 and the following are some significant dates from its history:

Adare Manor is a manor house located on the banks of the River Maigue in the village of Adare, County Limerick, Ireland, the former seat of the Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl. The present house was built in the early 19th century, though retaining some of the walls of the 17th-century structure. It is now the Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort, a luxury hotel, and contains the Michelin-starred Oak Room restaurant. Due to British control of Ireland at the time, all of the initial formal architects of Adare Manor were from England. However, the 3rd Earl of Dunraven wrote the following words of high praise towards the Irish stonemason, James Connolly, who made significant architectural contributions: "the greater portion of the building, and that the boldest in conception and most picturesque in effect, was designed by an amateur, not a single drawing having been furnished by an architect; and a still larger portion was erected without the employment of either builder or clerk of the works; everything was carried on for twenty-one years solely under the superintendence of that remarkable man..."

Pallaskenry (Irish: Pailís Chaonraí) is a village in County Limerick, Ireland. Pallaskenry derives its name from Kenry Castle (the palisaded castle at Kenry), nowadays known as Shanpallas Castle.[Topographical Dictionary of Ireland, p455, Lewis]. It was one of the principal ancient castles of County Limerick. [The Journal of The Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland, Volume 37, p25]. Kenry Castle was the original property of Russells as part of the territories or Ardcanny and Chapelrussell (incl. Pallas itself) which was acquired by the first Knight of Glin, Sir John fitz John. It was later in the possession of Henry Fitzgerald, grandson of the first Knight in 1330 and served as an important sub-manor of the Earls of Desmond right through to 1652. The village is located about 24 km (15 mi) west of Limerick city close to the River Shannon estuary. The town is reached by travelling about five kilometres (~3 miles) north off the N69 National Route that runs west from the city. Pallaskenry is a satellite town of Limerick city, many of its inhabitants work in the city but many also work in Shannon Town, County Clare (north across the estuary), and Askeaton, a town further west of Pallaskenry. A pier on the Shannon Estuary is located a couple of kilometers further north of the town, at Ringmoylan. This point is almost directly across the estuary from Shannon Town, and offers a good view of airplanes landing and taking off at Shannon Airport.

Curraghchase is a 774-acre (3 km2) forest park located in County Limerick. It is 20 km from the city of Limerick, between the towns of Adare and Askeaton. The land was the Hunt/de Vere family estate for 300 years (1657–1957), including the period of the de Vere baronets, also serving as the home of renowned poet and critic Aubrey Thomas De Vere.

Carrigogunnell Castle (Irish: Chairrge Ó gCoinneall) is a medieval Irish fortification near the village of Clarina, on the banks of the River Shannon in County Limerick. The structure dates to at least the early 13th century, and was sleighted in September 1691 after being captured during the second siege of Limerick.
