Swainton, New Jersey

The New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route extends along eastern and southern coast of New Jersey for nearly 300 miles (480 km). It travels along the Raritan Bay from Perth Amboy to Sandy Hook, along Jersey Shore at the Atlantic Ocean to Cape May, and along the Delaware Bay to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The trail encompasses a variety of New Jersey state parks along with facilities under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service.

New Asbury Methodist Episcopal Meeting House, now known as Asbury United Methodist Church, is a historic church in Middle Township, Cape May County, New Jersey, about six miles north of Cape May Court House.It was built in 1852 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It should not be confused with the First United Methodist Church in Cape May Court House which stands immediately north of the Old Cape May County Courthouse Building.

WZXL (100.7 FM, "100.7 ZXL") is a radio station also known as "South Jersey's Rock Station", playing mainstream rock. WZXL is licensed to Wildwood, New Jersey. Operating with 38,000 watts, WZXL serves the greater South Jersey area including Atlantic City, Cape May, Long Beach Island, and Cumberland County. WZXL's signal also reaches Sussex County, Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. WZXL's transmitter is located along Avalon Boulevard, just east of Swainton, while studios are on Black Horse Pike in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township.

Thomas Leaming House is located in Middle Township, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1706 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 1, 1997. Leaming was a member the fifth session (June–August 1776) of the Provincial Congress of New Jersey which ordered the arrest of the colony's last royal governor William Franklin, approved the Declaration of Independence and wrote New Jersey's first state constitution (1776).

Leaming's Run Gardens (30 acres) were flower gardens located at 1845 US Route 9 North, Swainton, in Middle Township, New Jersey. The gardens are now indefinitely closed. The gardens were designed and created by Jack and Emily Aprill and children, and opened to the public in 1977. Until closure, Leaming's Run Gardens claimed to be the largest annual flower garden in the United States. It consisted of the following gardens: Blue and Red Garden, Blue and White garden, Celosia Garden, Down Jersey Garden (heat-loving plants), English Cottage Garden, Hibiscus Garden, Orange Garden, Pink Garden, Red and White Garden, Reflection Garden, Serpentine Garden (red salvia), Shades of Rose Garden (roses underplanted with rose-colored flowers), Sweetheart Garden (pinks and purple), and Yellow Garden. Leaming's Garden received its name from a long stream that ran through the land. The stream was known as "Uncle Aaron Leaming's Run." Jack and Emily Aprill, as mentioned above, purchased the property in 1957 and intended to make the gardens gorgeous and have other people enjoy the beauty of nature.

Clermont is an unincorporated community located within Dennis Township in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.A post office was established in 1886, with Chester Todd as the first postmaster.

Cape May County Technical High School, located in Middle Township, which provides vocational and technical education to students in ninth through twelfth grades from Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Cape May County Technical School District. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2000.It has a Cape May Court House postal address but is not located in the census-designated place.As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 553 students and 65.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.5:1. There were 129 students (23.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 37 (6.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Cape May County Special Services School District (CMCSSSD) is a special education public school district headquartered in Middle Township, in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States, whose schools offer educational and therapeutic services for students of elementary and high school age from across the county who have emotional of physical disabilities that cannot be addressed by their sending districts. As of the 2011–12 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 267 students and 45.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 5.89:1.Its facility has a Cape May Court House postal address but is not within the CMCH census-designated place.

The Dennis Township School District, or Dennis Township Public Schools, are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Dennis Township, in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 615 students and 62.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.9:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Middle Township High School in Cape May Court House, together with students from Avalon, Stone Harbor and Woodbine, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Middle Township Public Schools. WJPG (88.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Contemporary Christian format. Licensed to the Cape May Court House, section of Middle Township, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The station is currently owned by Maranatha Ministries and features programming from Salem Communications. The station is simulcast on 88.9 WJPH in Woodbine.

The Cape May County Park & Zoo in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, New Jersey, provides free year-round admission to a collection of more than 550 animals representing 250 species in 85 acres (34 ha) of exhibits. The zoo is located at 707 U.S. Route 9 North, in the center of Cape May County's Central Park. Together, the zoo and the park cover about 220 acres (89 ha). The zoo began operation in 1978. Its principal exhibit areas are a 57-acre (23 ha) African Savanna, a free-flight aviary, and a reptile collection. In addition to the Zoo and Park Central, there is also Park East, Park North and Park South.The zoo is open every day except for Christmas, weather permitting. The hours of operation are from 10:00 am until 3:30pm in the winter and 10:00am until 4:30pm in the summer. Time changes occur with daylight saving time. The zoo also has a train ride and carousel. The train is trackless and can take visitors all around the zoo. The carousel has zoo animals for riding seats unlike the traditional horses on most carousels. Cape May County Zoological Society/ZooFriends, a 501(c)3 non-profit NJ corporation, is the official Support Organization of the Cape May County Park & Zoo. Since 1986 the Society has continuously provided the private sector funding needed to develop new exhibits, improve facilities, purchase zoo equipment and make acquisitions for the animal collection. The Society makes significant contributions to conservation and endeavors to encourage the community's interest and enjoyment of the Zoo.
