Aversa Cathedral

The Diocese of Aversa (Latin: Dioecesis Aversana) is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Campania, southern Italy, created in 1053. It is situated in the Terra di Lavoro (Liburia), seven miles north of Naples, and eight miles south of Capua. It is suffragan of the Archdiocese of Naples.

Aversa (Italian: [aˈvɛrsa]) is a city and comune in the Province of Caserta in Campania, southern Italy, about 24 km north of Naples. It is the centre of an agricultural district, the Agro Aversano, producing wine and cheese (famous for the typical buffalo mozzarella). Aversa is also the main seat of the faculties of Architecture and Engineering of the Università degli studi della Campania "L. Vanvitelli" (Campania University "L. Vanvitelli"). With a population of 52,974 (2017), it is the second city of the province after Caserta.

Aversa railway station (Italian: Stazione di Aversa) serves the town and comune of Aversa, in the region of Campania, southern Italy. Opened in 1867, it forms the junction between the Rome–Formia–Naples railway and the Naples–Foggia railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). Most train services are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Some train services are operated by MetroCampania NordEst (MCNE), which is owned by the Consorzio UnicoCampania group.

This town has given the name to one of the prominent dynasties of Ancient Rome, including to the most famous of its members, Julius Caesar.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 10,597 and an area of 5.7 square kilometres (2.2 sq mi).Parete borders the following municipalities: Giugliano in Campania, Lusciano, and Trentola-Ducenta. The area of Parete is famous for the production of peaches, strawberries and Aversa Asprinio wine.

Sant'Arpino (Campanian: Sandarpìnë) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Caserta in the Italian region Campania located about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northwest of Naples and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) southwest of Caserta. Sant'Arpino borders the following municipalities: Cesa, Frattamaggiore, Frattaminore, Grumo Nevano, Orta di Atella, Sant'Antimo, Succivo. Sant'Arpino is the vulgarized version of Sant'Elpidio, bishop and patron of the town. The ancient city of Atella was located nearby.
