Meyerland Plaza is a large shopping center located in southwest Houston, Texas, United States. Meyerland Plaza is located in the Meyerland neighborhood of Houston and is just outside the 610 Loop. The anchor stores are JCPenney, Target, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Texans Fit, H-E-B, Old Navy, and Office Depot. There are 5 vacant anchor stores that were once Bed Bath & Beyond, Palais Royal, Stein Mart, Best Buy, and Pier 1 Imports.

Saint Thomas' Episcopal School (STES) is a private, co-ed Episcopal institution serving Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. It is located in the Meyerland area of Houston, Texas. The school has 553 students and 111 faculty members. It is accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools and is a member of the Houston Association of Independent Schools (HAIS) and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Starting in 2020, STES will embark on a $29,000,000 construction project to restore and enhance the school campus. Construction is set to finish in the fall of 2021.

Meyerland is a community in southwest Houston, Texas, outside of the 610 Loop and inside Beltway 8. The neighborhood is named after the Meyer family, who bought and owned 6,000 acres (24 km2) of land in southwest Houston. Meyerland is the center of Houston's Jewish community; the Meyerland area is the home of Houston's Jewish Community Center, Congregation Beth Israel, Congregation Beth Yeshurun, and several smaller synagogues. The area is also home to Meyerland Plaza, a large outdoor shopping center. Meyerland is partially located within the 100-year floodplain, and houses were prone to flooding during heavy rain events. Meyerland was inundated during Hurricane Harvey in 2017, and stories and images of the flooded community were prominent in media coverage of the natural disaster in Houston.Large scale flood mitigation projects are underway which will greatly benefit Meyerland. Chief amongst such projects is Project Brays, a $400m mega scale flood mitigation project which will remove several Meyerland homes from 100 year flood plain. Circa 2018 several new homes are being built in Meyerland and the neighborhood is seeing strong new home construction. Luxury homes over $1m in value are being built several feet above the minimum base flood elevation.

Bellaire High School is a comprehensive, public secondary school in Bellaire, Texas. Part of the Houston Independent School District, it serves the incorporated city of Bellaire, the Houston community of Meyerland, and other adjacent Houston neighborhoods. It has a racially and socioeconomically diverse student body.

Houston Graduate School of Theology (HGST) is a private evangelical seminary in Houston, Texas. It is part of Kairos University.

John J. Pershing Middle School is a middle school in Houston, Texas, United States. It is located in the Braeswood Place neighborhood, near the Texas Medical Center.The school, that serves around 1,650 students in grades 6 through 8, is managed by the Houston Independent School District. Pershing has a neighborhood program and a Pre-AP Gifted and Talented program, and is a fine arts magnet school.

Link Valley is a community in southwestern Houston, Texas that consists of many apartment complexes. In the late 1980s it was nicknamed "Death Valley" due to high levels of drug-related and violent crime. Since a 1989 raid Link Valley has not had significant criminal activity.

The Emery/Weiner School (EWS) is a co-educational, independent Jewish day school in Houston, Texas, United States, serving grades 6-12. The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. The campus is located on 15 acres (61,000 m2) of land, in Link Valley, a community in southwest Houston outside of the 610 Loop, inside Beltway 8, and east of the Westwood subdivision. The school houses 100,000 square feet (9,000 m2) of classroom space, along with several acres of accessible playing fields. Facilities include art, science, and computer labs, a proscenium theater, art and music studios, a multi-court gymnasium, library, football stadium and turf field, weight room, audio/visual room, a student center/cafeteria and a new makerspace known as the Levine Innovation Lab. Roselyn Bell, author of the "Houston" entry in The Jewish Traveler: Hadassah Magazine's Guide to the World's Jewish Communities and Sights, wrote around 1987 that the school, then the I. Weiner Jewish Secondary School, had a "centrist" viewpoint in regard to the Jewish religious movements.

Bellaire is a city in southwestern Harris County, Texas, United States, within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the city population was 17,202. It is surrounded by the cities of Houston and West University Place. Bellaire is known as the "City of Homes", owing to its mostly residential character; but it has offices along the I-610 Loop within the city limits.

Post Oak Road to the West, Greenwillow Drive to the East, Briarbend Drive to the South, and Hazelton Street to North. The subdivision's main thoroughfare is Willowbend Boulevard with its center point at Willowbend and Cliffwood. Surrounding neighborhoods, include: Willow Meadows to the North, Meyerland to the Northwest, Westbury to the West. Willowbend is surrounded by numerous points of interest, including: Willow Waterhole Park, Meyerland Plaza, The Texas Medical Center, and NRG Stadium.

St. Mark's Episcopal School is a private primary and secondary school located in the Cambridge Place development and in West University Place, Texas, in Greater Houston. St. Mark's serves preschool (ages 18 months and up) through Grade 8. The school is located just four miles from the Texas Medical Center and minutes south of the Galleria. St. Mark's is a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and the Southwest Association of Episcopal Schools. The current headmaster of the school is Garhett Wagers. The school is structured into three divisions - primary school (preschool 2s through kindergarten), lower school (1st through 4th grade), and middle school (5th through 8th grade).

Braeswood Place is a group of subdivisions in Harris County, Texas, United States. The vast majority of the land is in Houston while a small part is in Southside Place. Braeswood Place is a mainly single-family neighborhood inside the 610 Loop, east of the city of Bellaire, south of the cities of Southside Place and West University Place, west of the Texas Medical Center and the neighborhood of Old Braeswood, and north of the neighborhoods of Linkwood and Knollwood Village. Braeswood Place consists of approximately 2,200 homes and includes seven subdivisions: Ayrshire, Braes Heights, Braes Oaks, Braes Manor, Braes Terrace, Emerald Forest, and Southern Oaks.
