The Ponte alla Carraia is a five-arched bridge spanning the River Arno and linking the district of Oltrarno to the rest of the city of Florence, Italy. To the west is a weir, the Pescaia di Santa Rosa, and the Ponte Amerigo Vespucci, and to the east is the Ponte Santa Trinita. The piazzas on either bank are the Piazza Nazario Sauro (south) and the Piazza Carlo Goldoni (north). At the northernmost column of the bridge a family of coypus live in a dam.

The Basilica di Santo Spirito ("Basilica of the Holy Spirit") is a church in Florence, Italy. Usually referred to simply as Santo Spirito, it is located in the Oltrarno quarter, facing the square with the same name. The interior of the building – internal length 97 meters – is one of the preeminent examples of Renaissance architecture.

Saint Mark's English Church is an Anglican church in Florence, Italy. The church forms part of the chaplaincy of St Mark's Florence with Holy Cross Bologna, in the Diocese in Europe of the Church of England.The last permanent chaplain at St Mark's was Father William Lister, who retired at the end of 2020. The current chaplain is a locum replacement. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2021, the average congregation was about 100. The church ministers to the homeless in Florence. It also has vibrant music and cultural programs, with annual resident choirmaster and organ master interns, who provide vocal and instrumental concerts and recitals with visiting musicians, along with sacred and devotional music at Sunday mass and evensong. The St Mark's Cultural Association offers a Book Club and Armchair Drama Club; Florence Writers offers discussions and workshop on writing, literature, and poetry. Opera at St Mark's has been offering opera performances by its resident opera company for more than ten years.

The Monument to Carlo Goldoni is a white marble outdoor statue inaugurated in 1873 to commemorate the Venetian dramatist. The monument is located in a piazza of the same name, formerly called Piazza delle Travi, in front of Ponte alla Carraia, in the quartiere of Santa Maria Novella of Florence, region of Tuscany, Italy. The name of the piazza, which had reflected a postern leading to a port in the Arno River for wood barges, was renamed in 1907 on the 200th anniversary of Goldoni's birth. The statue was commissioned in 1858 by the Società Filodrammatica cittadina (Società dei Permanenti Concordi) from the sculptor Ulisse Cambi. The base was constructed by Mariano Falcinil.The statue was damaged during the bombing of Florentine bridges in August 1944, but the damage was repaired. In April 2014, the base was vandalized with graffiti, soon cleaned. The right thumb on the book has been also lost.

The Fountain dello Sprone, or Fontana dello Sprone, also called the Fontana del Buontalenti is an early 17th-century Mannerist-style public fountain found at the corner of via dello Sprone and Borgo San Jacopo, in the quarter of Oltrarno in the city of Florence, region of Tuscany, Italy. The fountain, located at the acute angle (sprone) formed by the intersection of the two streets, nestled against the private building, was designed and sculpted by Bernardo Buontalenti and completed in 1608, likely for the celebration of the wedding of Cosimo II de' Medici and Maria Maddalena d'Austria. The fountain consists of a grotesque bearded face with a water spout protruding from its mouth, with a swirling marble conch basin below. It has undergone various restorations: in the 17th century by Giuseppe del Rosso, and a recent restoration in 2014.

Arno (French pronunciation: ​[aʁno]) was a department of the First French Empire in present-day Italy. It was named after the Arno river. It was formed in 1808, when the Kingdom of Etruria (formerly the Grand Duchy of Tuscany) was annexed directly to France. Its capital was Florence. The department was disbanded after the defeat of Napoleon in 1814. At the Congress of Vienna, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany was restored to its previous Habsburg-Lorraine prince, Ferdinand III. Its territory is now divided between the Italian provinces of Florence, Prato, Arezzo, Pistoia and Forlì-Cesena.

The Palazzo di Bianca Cappello, originally belonging to Corbinelli family is a Renaissance-style palace located on Via Maggio #26 of the quarter of Oltrarno in Florence, region of Tuscany, Italy. It is notable for its facade decoration, and once housing Bianca Cappello, the mistress, then wife of the Grand-Duke Francesco I de' Medici

San Jacopo sopr'Arno is a church in Florence, Italy. The church was built in the 10th–11th centuries in Romanesque style. It subsequently experienced heavy modifications including the addition of a triple-arched portico. According to the Renaissance art historian Giorgio Vasari, Filippo Brunelleschi built here a chapel, the Ridolfi Chapel, in which he studied, in smaller scale, architectural elements later used in his famous dome of Santa Maria del Fiore. The chapel is now destroyed. Since 1542 it was held by Franciscans of the Minorite Order. The entrance portico was remade by order of Cosimo I de' Medici in 1580, using the architect Bernardino Radi. The bell tower was designed by Gherardo Silvani in 1660. The church was damaged when the Arno River flooded Florence in 1966. Repairs of the church after flood led to the restoration of some of the historical architectural features, and the discovery of columns belonging to the original Romanesque church in the Baroque interior.
