Mount Carmel (Hebrew: הַר הַכַּרְמֶל, romanized: Har haKarmel; Arabic: جبل الكرمل, romanized: Jabal al-Karmil), also known in Arabic as Mount Mar Elias (Arabic: جبل مار إلياس, romanized: Jabal Mār Ilyās, lit. 'Mount Saint Elias/Elijah'), is a coastal mountain range in northern Israel stretching from the Mediterranean Sea towards the southeast. The range is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. A number of towns are situated there, most notably the city of Haifa, Israel's third largest city, located on the northern and western slopes.

The Mount Carmel Forest Fire (Hebrew: אסון הכרמל Ason HaKarmel, "The Carmel Disaster") was a deadly forest fire that started on Mount Carmel in northern Israel, just south of Haifa. The fire began at about 11:00 local time on 2 December 2010, and spread quickly, consuming much of the Mediterranean forest covering the region. With a death toll of 44, it was the deadliest civil disaster in Israeli history until the 2021 Meron stampede. Those killed included 36 Israel Prison Service members, most of them new recruits, as well as three senior police officers, among them the chief of Haifa's police, and three firefighters, among them a 16-year-old volunteer. More than 17,000 people were evacuated, including several villages in the vicinity of the fire, and there was considerable property and environmental damage.The fire appeared to be caused by human activity near the Druze town of Isfiya. On 6 December a 14-year-old resident of the town told police that he had inadvertently started the fire with a nargila coal. The teen's father argued that his son was witnessed in school at the time and could not have started the blaze.The fire was followed by a wave of arsons throughout Israel and the West Bank. These fires, which initially created confusion regarding the source of the Carmel blaze, were all extinguished within a few hours of being lit. The motivation for the attacks was not immediately clear. Israeli police have referred to some of these fires as arson.Government officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, called on other countries to help assist in firefighting efforts, and the Israel Defense Forces mobilized troops for the same purpose. The fire was defeated on 5 December after raging for 77 hours, a little over three days.

Yagur (Hebrew: יָגוּר) is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located on the northeastern slopes of Mount Carmel, about 9 km southeast of Haifa, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,655, making it one of the two largest kibbutzim in the country.

Al-Jalama (Arabic: الجلمة) was a Palestinian village about 14 kilometres south-east of Haifa. It was depopulated in 1948.

Daliyat al-Karmel (Arabic: دَالِيَةِ ٱلْكَرْمِل, Hebrew: דַלְיַת אֶל-כַּרְמֶל, "vineyards (دالية) of Carmel") is a Druze town located on Mount Carmel in the Haifa District of Israel, around 20 km southeast of Haifa. In 2021 its population was 18,001.

Carmel City (Hebrew: עִיר הַכַּרְמֶל, Ir HaKarmel; Arabic: مدينة الكرمل Madīnat al-Karmel) was a short-lived city in the Haifa District of Israel, named after its location on Mount Carmel.

The Yagur Junction bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on April 10, 2002 on an Egged commuter bus line number 960 which was passing through Yagur Junction in northern Israel. 8 people were killed in the attack and 19 people were injured.

Kfar Hasidim (Hebrew: כְּפַר חֲסִידִים, lit. 'Village of Hasidim'), also known as Kfar Hasidim Alef to distinguish it from Kfar Hasidim Bet, is a moshav in northern Israel. Located near Kiryat Ata, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 814.

Yajur (Arabic: ياجور, Yâjûr) was a Palestinian Arab village located 9.5 kilometres (5.9 mi) southeast of Haifa. It was depopulated during the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on April 25, 1948.

Kfar HaNoar HaDati (Hebrew: כפר הנוער הדתי, lit. The Religious Youth Village) is a youth village in northern Israel. Adjacent to Kfar Hassidim, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 376.

Kfar Hasidim Bet (Hebrew: כְּפַר חֲסִידִים ב', lit. Hasidim Village B) is a community settlement in northern Israel. Located near Nesher, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 305.The village was founded in 1950 by residents of Kfar Hasidim, and was recognised by the state in 1959.

Al-Dumun was a Palestinian Arab village in the Haifa Subdistrict. It was depopulated during the 1947–1948 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on April 30, 1948. It was located 10.5 km southeast of Haifa.
