The Apostolic Faith Mission church in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, New York City, located at 265 Lafayette Avenue northeast corner of Washington Avenue, occupies the historic nineteenth-century former Orthodox Friends Meeting House. The former Society of Friends (Quaker) meetinghouse was built 1868, described in the AIA Guide to New York City as "A simple Lombardian Romanesque box polychromed with vigor by its current tenants." As of 1977, it was the Apostolic Faith Mission.

Clinton Hill Historic District is a national historic district in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, in New York City. It consists of 1,063 largely residential contributing buildings built between the 1840s and 1930 in popular contemporary and revival styles. Buildings include freestanding mansions, row houses, and apartment buildings. The district includes the mansions of Clinton Avenue, built in the 1870s and 1880s. The most prominent of these are linked to Charles Pratt, who built a mansion for himself at 232 Clinton Avenue in 1874, the year his Charles Pratt & Company was acquired by Standard Oil, and one each as wedding presents for three of his four sons. These four mansions can be seen on Clinton Avenue between DeKalb and Willoughby. The rest of the historic district is noted for its prominent Italianate and Beaux-Arts rowhouses. The Clinton Hill South Historic District was listed in 1986. St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 220 Classon Avenue in Clinton Hill, built c.1859, and the Mechanics Temple, which was built at 67 Putnam Avenue as the Lincoln Club in 1889, are both part of the historic district. Other buildings in the Historic District include a Gothic Revival wooden house at 284 Clinton Avenue, built c.1854; an Italianate brick and stone villa dating from c.1850 at 447 Clinton Avenue, intact runs of mid-19th century rowhouses on Grand Avenue, St. James Place and Cambridge Place as well as on DeKalb Avenue and Waverly Avenue; mansions from the "Gold Coast" era in the 200 to 400 blocks of Clinton Avenue; and at 367 Washington Avenue; and apartment houses on Clinton Avenue. Other contributing buildings include churches, schools, a former home for elderly women, and stores.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Clinton–Washington Avenues station is a station on the IND Crosstown Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Lafayette Avenue between Clinton and Washington Avenues in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, it is served by the G train at all times.

DeKalb Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Lexington Avenue Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It was opened on May 13, 1885 and had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. It was located at the intersection of Grand Avenue and DeKalb Avenue, and had connections to the streetcar line with the same name. It closed on October 13, 1950. The next southbound stop was Myrtle Avenue. The next northbound stop was Greene Avenue.

The station was close to the current Clinton and Washington Avenues station on the underground IND Crosstown Line. It closed on October 13, 1950. The next southbound stop was DeKalb Avenue. The next northbound stop was Franklin Avenue.

Pratt Institute is a private university with its main campus in Brooklyn, New York. It has a satellite campus in Manhattan and an extension campus in Utica, New York at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute. The school originated in 1887 with programs primarily in engineering, architecture, and fine arts. Comprising six schools, the institute is primarily known for its programs in architecture, interior design, and industrial design.

The Brooklyn Free School is a private, ungraded, democratic free school in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, founded in 2004. Students range in age from 4 to 18 years old. The school follows the noncoercive philosophy of the 1960s/70s free school movement schools, which encourages self-directed learning and protects child freedom of activity. There are no grades, no tests, and classes are non-compulsory. As of 2015, the school enrolls 80 students and has about 24 graduates. The school was the first free school in New York City since 1975. It started in a rented portion of a Park Slope Methodist church, but moved to a brownstone in Fort Greene. Students participate in the design of classes and in the school's governance, which is done at a weekly Democratic Meeting. Staff and students all have equal votes. The school is funded through sliding-scale tuition, grants, and donations. In 2012, Lucas Kavner of The Huffington Post called the Brooklyn Free School "arguably New York's most radical center of learning".

The Pratt Institute School of Architecture is located in New York City with courses being taught at Brooklyn and Manhattan campuses. In 2012 the journal 'DesignIntelligence' ranked it in the ten best architecture schools in the United States. Alumni include William Van Alen, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, Annabelle Selldorf, Richard Foster, George Ranalli, Carlos Zapata, and Pritzker Prize winner Peter Zumthor. The School was created in 1928 and by 1954 was recognized as being full degree-granting Undergraduate and Graduate program. Undergraduate architecture is the largest program in both the School of Architecture and Pratt Institute at large with over 550 students. Within the Brooklyn campus, the school of architecture is located a block from the main campus in Higgins Hall (designed by Steven Holl).

St. Joseph's University (SJC) is a private university in New York State, with campuses located in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn, and in Patchogue, Long Island. The University provides education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, offering degrees in more than 54 majors, special course offerings and certificates, affiliated and pre-professional programs.

The Queen of All Saints Church is located at 300 Vanderbilt Avenue on the corner of Lafayette Avenue in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. It is a Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. The church is located within the Fort Greene Historic District.

The Caroline Ladd Pratt House is a mansion at 229 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, USA. It was formerly known as the Frederic B. Pratt House, as it was built for him as the family home with his wife Caroline Ladd Pratt. Completed in 1898, it was designed by architects Babb, Cook and Willard in a neo-Georgian style. Caroline Ladd Pratt survived her husband. She bequeathed the mansion to the Pratt Institute, which the family had long supported. Today it us used as the residence of the college president. In 2017, Matiz Architecture and Design completed a restoration project that addressed many facade and window elements, bringing the historic residence back to its more elegant appearance. The exterior trellis was also restored as part of the architectural restoration.
