Gąsior [ˈɡɔ̃ɕɔr] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Ruciane-Nida, within Pisz County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Ruciane-Nida, 21 km (13 mi) north-west of Pisz, and 70 km (43 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Iznota [izˈnɔta] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ruciane-Nida, within Pisz County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of Ruciane-Nida, 21 km (13 mi) north-west of Pisz, and 71 km (44 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Krutynia is a river of Masurian Lake District in Poland. It discharges into the lake Bełdany, which is connected with Lake Roś through several canals and lakes. Roś is drained by the river Pisa. The Krutynia is one of the most famous waterways, repeatedly referred to the "most beautiful canoe trail in Europe". Current of the river, with numerous bends, is actually slow. Width of the river reaches 30–40 meters and depth is from 1,5-2,5 to 3–7 meters. The Krutynia flows through the landscape-water-forest reserve, in two municipalities terrain: Mikołajki and Ruciane-Nida. Canoe trail runs from the Mokre Lake, through Puszcza Piska and Masurian Landscape Park. Most famous part of canoe trail begins in Sorkwity and ends in Ruciane-Nida. In the river are: Nuphar lutea Nymphaea alba Stratiotes aloides Sagittaria sagittifolia

Masurian Landscape Park (Polish: Mazurski Park Krajobrazowy) is a designated Polish Landscape Park protected area within Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is one of the largest landscape parks in Poland. It was established in 1977, and is a Natura 2000 EU Special Protection Area.

Popielno [pɔˈpjɛlnɔ] (German: Spirding; until 1928: Popiellnen) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Ruciane-Nida, within Pisz County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Ruciane-Nida, 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Pisz, and 74 km (46 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. The settlement has a population of 180.

Mikołajskie Lake (Polish: Jezioro Mikołajskie; German: Nikolaiker See) is glacial lake in Masurian Lake District in Poland. Mikołajskie Lake covers 5 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi) and is 5.8 kilometres (3.6 mi) long and 1.6 kilometres (0.99 mi) wide with a maximum depth of 25.9 meters. In the north, Mikołajskie Lake is connected with the Tałty Lake under the road bridge in Mikołajki. To one of the pillars of the bridge, on a spring, is chained the King of Vendaces (Fish King, in Polish: Król Sielaw, Rybi Król, legendary king of Masuria). In the south-east, Mikołajskie Lake is connected with the Śniardwy Lake by the Przeczka strait within Dybowski Róg and Popielski Róg. In the south-west, Mikołajskie Lake is connected with the Bełdany Lake. On the west bank extends the Pisz Forest. On the shore of the lake are the towns: Mikołajki, Dybowo, Kulinowo, Wierzba. Notable wildlife: Eurasian bittern (Botaurus stellaris) Common goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) Ruff (Philomachus pugnax) Black-throated loon (Gavia arctica) Little gull (Larus minutus)

It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of Ruciane-Nida, 21 km (13 mi) north-west of Pisz, and 74 km (46 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
