Bagienice Małe (Polish pronunciation: [baɡʲɛˈɲitsɛ ˈmawɛ]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Mrągowo, within Mrągowo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Mrągowo and 49 km (30 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. As a result of the Treaty of Versailles the 1920 East Prussian plebiscite was organized on 11 July 1920 under the control of the League of Nations, which resulted in 200 votes to remain in Germany and none for Poland. Thus the village remained part of Germany until 1945.
