Woodland Hall

Shrewsbury Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Kennedyville, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a rural parish church constructed in 1834, and remodeled to its present vernacular Gothic-influenced appearance in 1890. The church is constructed of brick and features a three-stage buttressed and crenelated tower at the entrance, a low one-story chancel, and Gothic influenced walnut furnishings. South Sassafras Parish, as it was originally known, was one of the original 30 Anglican parishes in the Province of Maryland. Buried in the churchyard is John Cadwalader, a general of the American Revolutionary War.Shrewsbury Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Knocks Folly, also known as Janvier House and Barroll House, is a historic home located at Kennedyville, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is an unusual combination of a small, 1+1⁄2-story, mid-18th-century log home with a three-story, Federal brick wing.Knocks Folly was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Mount Harmon is an historic home, located at Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, and is currently open to the public.

Rose Hill, also known as Chance and Wheeler Point, is a historic home located at Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland, United States. It is the product of four major building periods: a gambrel-roofed frame structure built at the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century; a 2+1⁄2-story brick "town house" constructed on the east in 1837; and a small frame kitchen and a one-story wing built in the 1960s. Also on the property are a smokehouse, ice house, and shed. The garden includes two of the largest yew trees living in the United States. It was the home of General Thomas Marsh Forman (1756–1845), who served as a young man in the American Revolutionary War.Rose Hill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Elf is a racing yacht built in 1888 by George Lawley & Son of South Boston, Massachusetts, for William H. Wilkinson. She was designed by George F. Lawley and is the oldest small yacht in the United States. She is located at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD.Talbot County, Maryland.She was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1980.

Fredericktown is an unincorporated community in Cecil County, Maryland, United States.The Elf racing yacht is located in the Sassafras River at Fredericktown, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1980.Fredericktown was first permanently settled generations before 1757. The town began to grow by its location: fishing and sailing were frequent enjoyments of the town. But, the town was destroyed by fire during a British raid in the War of 1812. Some of the earliest buildings in the town were built following the cessation of hostilities, after 1815. Owen Burns, an entrepreneur, banker, builder, and land developer who at one time owned the majority of Sarasota, Florida, was born in Fredericktown.

Valley Cottage, also known as Wallis House, is a historic home located at Georgetown, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story gambrel roofed structure consisting of a 42 feet long 18th century portion with a 16 feet long extension built in 1954.Valley Cottage was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Nellie Crockett is a Chesapeake Bay oyster buy-boat built for Andrew A. Crockett of Tangier, Virginia, in 1925. She is located at Georgetown, Maryland, USA. She was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.The Nellie Crockett was built specifically to operate as a buy-boat, making the rounds of the Chesapeake Bay oyster beds to buy oysters directly from the harvesters, typically sail-powered skipjacks or oyster tongers. This allowed the oyster dredges to remain on the beds, avoiding the need to return to port when full. Buy-boats typically gave a lower price than a dockside sale, but most oystermen considered this a fair trade for not losing time on a run back to the dock. She is considered one of the best-preserved examples of this type of vessel.

Georgetown is an unincorporated community in northeastern Kent County, Maryland, United States. The community was laid out in 1736. Georgetown was named for Prince George who later became King of the United Kingdom. Georgetown is located on the south side of the Sassafras River at the Maryland Route 213 bridge, north of Galena and south of Cecilton. Directly to the north across the river is the unincorporated community of Fredericktown in Cecil County. The Nellie Crockett and Valley Cottage are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Earleville is an unincorporated community in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. Earleville is located at the intersection of Maryland Route 282 and Grove Neck Road west of Cecilton. Located at Earleville and listed on the National Register of Historic Places are: Bohemia Farm, Mount Harmon, Rose Hill, and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

White House Farm is a historic home located at Kennedyville, Kent County, Maryland, United States. The oldest section of the 1+1⁄2-story stuccoed brick house was built in 1721. The house is located on an elevated site, within an informally landscaped yard which retains evidence of historic terracing. Also on the property is a late-19th-century brick dairy.White House Farm was built in 1721 by Daniel Perkins who was a miller and stone cutter, newly arrived from New Hampshire. He arrived in Kent County in 1710 and obtained the milling rights to dam the West branch of Morgan Creek. Remnants of this dam are still visible from Rt 213. He not only built a small house there with the flour mill but also a sawmill and a fulling mill. After acquiring more property in 1720, he began building the larger brick home up on the hill for his family, overlooking his mills. The White House Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
