St. Stephen's High School - Bradshaw, MD - was part of a K-12 parish school started in 1931. Bradshaw is 3 miles NE of Kingsville, MD and about 5 miles south of Bel Air, Maryland. It was part of the Baltimore Archdiocese educational system.

The Bevard House, also known as Hooper House, is a historic log home located in Kingsville, in Baltimore County, Maryland. The house was constructed in the 1850s and purchased in 1854 by John Bevard who lived there with his family until 1893. At the time of its designation, the majority of its construction was still intact.It is documented in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties.

Jericho Farm is a historic home located near Kingsville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States near historic Jerusalem Mill Village. It is a large 2+1⁄2-story gable-roofed stone dwelling overlooking the Little Gunpowder Falls. The house was constructed in two periods: the original dwelling, built about 1780, was a 2+1⁄2-story, side-passage, double pile house; about 1820, a five-bay, 2+1⁄2-story, center-passage, single pile house was constructed against the south gable of the earlier building.Jericho Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Joppa Iron Works, also known as Patterson's Iron Works was founded around 1817 by Joseph and Edward Patterson of Baltimore, the brothers of Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte, the sister-in-law of Napoleon I of France. Built at the falls-line of the (Dividing line of the Coastal Plain, the Piedmont Plateau) Big Gunpowder River in eastern Baltimore County, Maryland, the plant was started as a slitting and nail-making company. Located about 0.75 mile below current-day Maryland Route 7, it eventually had six puddling furnaces, one heating furnace, and 37 water-powered nail machines. The Joppa Iron Works were on the Great Gunpowder not quite a mile from its embouchure and near Divers Island. They were operated up to the commencement of the civil war and their product was well known in all the markets. They consisted of a large rolling mill nail works and forges. First-class vessels came up the river to the island and the embankments for the wharves are still visible. Where the main channel of the Gunpowder once was and where sea going ships rode at anchor is now a corn field on the Mount Peru estate. One rolling mill an immense stone structure abandoned more than twenty years ago still stands and is almost covered by the rank luxuriance of the Virginia creeper. The works were owned and operated by that Patterson family of which Madame Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte was a member, who sold the whole tract of one hundred and thirty four acres known as Bald Hill to the city of Baltimore for water privileges for twenty thousand dollars. The city resold it and it is now the property of Levi Furstenburg. The Joppa Iron Works closed around 1865 with the death of Edward Patterson. The Loreley Distilling Company eventually purchased the property and distilled whiskey on the site, closing when Prohibition took effect; selling the property to the Frank L. Wight Distilling Co. in 1933. Frank Wight sold the company to Hiram Walker & Sons of Canada in 1941. The site was subsequently shut down in 1948 when production moved to their Peoria, Illinois, facility. Few remnants of the iron works that remain; a mill race and some stone foundations are still visible. Iron bolts and an old ship's mooring ring are still visible in various boulders. Remnants of slag from the furnaces can still be found in the area. In 1970, the property was acquired by the Department of Forest & Parks Maryland and is now part of the Gunpowder State Park.

The Jericho Covered Bridge is a Burr arch through truss wooden covered bridge near Jerusalem, Harford County and Kingsville, Baltimore County, in Maryland, United States and near historic Jerusalem Mill Village. The bridge was constructed in 1865 across the Little Gunpowder Falls. This bridge is 88 feet (27 m) long and 14.7 feet (4.5 m) wide and is open to traffic.The Jericho Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.There are also rumors the bridge is 'haunted' by the ghosts of civil war soldiers. The bridge is believed to be a site where former Civil War soldiers committed suicide.

Jerusalem Mill Village is a living history museum that spans the 18th through early 20th centuries. One of the oldest and most intact mill villages in the U.S. state of Maryland, Jerusalem is located in Harford County, along the Little Gunpowder Falls River. It also serves as the headquarters of the Gunpowder Falls State Park. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 1987. Also on the National Register of Historic Places and located nearby are Jericho Farm and the Jericho Covered Bridge.

Joppa ( JOP-ə) is a former colonial town and current planning region of Harford County, Maryland, United States. Joppa was founded as a British settlement on the Gunpowder River in 1707 and designated as the third county seat of Baltimore County in 1712. The original boundaries of Baltimore County were defined in 1659 and contained all of modern day Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford and Cecil counties and parts of Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel and Kent counties. The settlement was named for the Biblical town of Jaffa in the ancient Holy Land of modern-day Israel. Joppa's harbor began to silt in due to clearcutting and farming upriver and coupled with multiple outbreaks of diseases such as smallpox and malaria, the county seat was moved to the growing, deep water port of Baltimore in 1768. Joppa's population would decline rapidly thereafter and businesses left for more prosperous environments in the new Baltimore Town.
