Schladitzer See

Breitenfeld is a village in Germany, incorporated into the city of Leipzig since 1999. It lies 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of the city centre, near the old road to Landsberg. To the south, it borders the suburbanised villages of Lindenthal and Wiederitzsch; to the north it is bordered by the autobahn A14. It was the site of the Battle of Breitenfeld (1631), an important Swedish-Protestant victory in the Thirty Years' War.

Werbeliner See is a lake in Saxony, Germany. At an elevation of 98.0 m, its surface area is 4.5 km². The lake is a part of the Central German Lake District.

The Battle of Breitenfeld (German: Schlacht bei Breitenfeld; Swedish: Slaget vid Breitenfeld) or First Battle of Breitenfeld (in older texts sometimes known as Battle of Leipzig), was fought at a crossroads near Breitenfeld approximately 8 km north-west of the walled city of Leipzig on 17 September (Gregorian calendar), or 7 September (Julian calendar, in wide use at the time), 1631. It was the Protestants' first major victory of the Thirty Years War. The victory confirmed Sweden's Gustavus Adolphus of the House of Vasa as a great tactical leader and induced many Protestant German states to ally with Sweden against the German Catholic League, led by Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria, and the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II.

The 13th Panzergrenadier Division (13. Panzergrenadierdivision) was a mechanized division of the German Army. Its staff was based at Leipzig. The division was a unit of the German Army's stabilization forces and specialized on conflicts of low intensity and homeland defense. The division was Germany's permanent contribution to Multinational Corps North East.

Leipzig-Wahren station is a station in the Leipzig suburb of Wahren in the German state of Saxony. At the beginning of the 20th century, a large freight yard was developed at it. Until the end of marshalling of trains on 31 December 1994, the Leipzig-Wahren freight yard was along with Engelsdorf (b Leipzig) one of the two major marshalling yards in the Leipzig rail node. Today the station has two passenger halts, Leipzig-Wahren and Leipzig-Lützschena, as well as a transshipment facility for combined transport.

The Krochsiedlung (also called Neu-Gohlis) is a 16-hectare residential development in the Neues Bauen architectural style in Gohlis, a district of Leipzig, Germany. It was built between 1929 and 1930 and was intended to be the first construction phase of a planned residential town. The residential buildings form a heritage-protected complex in Gohlis-Nord. The Krochsiedlung is one of the most important examples of the classical modern style in Leipzig.

Leipzig Messe (German: Bahnhof Leipzig Messe) is a railway station located in Leipzig, Germany, serving the Leipzig Trade Fair. The station is located on the Trebnitz–Leipzig railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn. Since December 2013 the station is served by the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland.

The Klinikum St. Georg is the oldest, and, after Leipzig University Hospital, the second largest hospital in Leipzig, Germany. It was founded in 1212. It consists of the Klinikum St. Georg gGmbH, and the Municipal Hospital "St. Georg" Leipzig (operated by the City of Leipzig). The hospital currently employs over 3,500 people and has 1,066 beds in 25 clinics. In addition, the gGmbH and the municipal hospital function as an academic teaching hospital of Leipzig University.

The Leipziger Parkeisenbahn (Leipzig park railway) is a 15 in (381 mm) minimum gauge railway in Leipzig, Germany. The line is also known as the Parkeisenbahn Auensee. The Railway was first opened in 1951 as "Pioniereisenbahn", one of the children's railways in the former Eastern Bloc Countries. The line of 1.9 kilometres (1.2 mi) goes around a lake called Auensee (formed in 1909, from a gravel pit, the material used to build Leipzig Central Station).
