Allner See is an artificial lake near Hennef in Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. At an elevation of 63,5 m, its surface area is 0.10 km². Directly to the north is the 15th century castle Schloss Allner.Starting in 1979 excavations to obtain sand and gravel for the construction of Highway 560 created a pit some six meters below the water table. In 1986 it was decided by the Hennef town administration to create a lake, and embankments and protection strips were built. In 1990 trees were planted and landscaping was finished just as the highway was completed, producing the lake in its current form. The lake has been stocked with fish for anglers. Swimming is allowed as well as stand-up paddling. But other water sports are prohibited.

Hennef (Sieg) (German pronunciation: [ˈhɛnɛf] ) is a town in the Rhein-Sieg district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the river Sieg, approx. 7 kilometres (4 miles) south-east of Siegburg and 15 km (9 mi) east of Bonn. Hennef is the fourth-biggest town in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis (i.e. district). It is the site of the 15th-century castle, Schloss Allner, next to the Allner See. Within Hennef is the town of Stadt Blankenberg, with the castle of Blankenberg. Hennef is also known as the "City of 100 villages".

The Bröl (also called the Brölbach or the Homburgische Bröl) is a 45.1 km long right tributary of the Sieg in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The river flows through the districts of Rhein-Sieg-Kreis and Oberbergischer Kreis. The river's source is in the town of Waldbröl at an elevation of 368 meters above sea level. It flows in a southwest direction through the Bergisches Land and past the Homburg Castle. In the town of Ruppichteroth, a small tributary called the Waldbrölbach joins the Bröl. It eventually flows to the town of Hennef where it joins the Sieg at an elevation of 67 meters.

Hennef im Siegbogen station is a through station in the town of Hennef in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened on 11 December 2011 on a section of the Sieg Railway, opened by the Cologne-Minden Railway Company (German: Cöln-Mindener Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, CME) between Hennef (Sieg) and Eitorf on 1 August 1860. It has two platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.The station is served by S-Bahn S 12 services from Köln-Ehrenfeld (Horrem in the peak) to Au (Sieg) and S19 services on weekdays from Düren to Herchen or Au (Sieg). Both services operate hourly.
