Stone Hill Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is one of the original mill villages along the Jones Falls, having been developed circa 1845–1847 to house textile mill workers. Comprising seven blocks, the district includes 21 granite duplexes, a granite Superintendent's House, and a granite service building (now converted to a duplex) – all owned by Mount Vernon Mills from 1845 to 1925.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Mount Vernon Mill No. 1 is a historic cotton mill complex located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was constructed between 1873 and 1918 and consists of four buildings situated along Jones Falls. The complex consists of three closely associated 19th-century buildings and a 20th-century warehouse. There is a large, three-story brick Mill Building (1873); a two-story, brick, L-shaped Picker House (1873); a two-story, brick Store House (c. 1881); and a later, reinforced-concrete warehouse (1918). It served as headquarters for Mount Vernon-Woodberry Mills, one of the world's largest producers of cotton duck.Mount Vernon Mill No. 1 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.The mill complex, now referred to generally as Mill No. 1, was purchased by Terra Nova Ventures, LLC and began renovations in 2012 to create a mixed-use project of apartments, offices and restaurants. The Mill No. 1 boasts, "The architecture team, Alexander Design Studio has figured out how to make this complicated project work, while keeping the integrity and character of the historic buildings... The structures’ overall historic significance and fabric in their beautiful setting [and] location have been maintained, while adapting the structures to incorporate new uses..." The Broom Factory Factory (also known as "The BFF") is an American music venue, art space and event destination in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland.The Broom Factory Factory opened in December 2012 as a mixed use facility. Currently the home of Charm City Studios and Music Collective, it has also functioned as a music venue, hosting a number of local artists, including T.T. The Artist and DDM.On January 2, 2013, The Broom Factory Factory was featured on "QuErica Lately."Before The Broom Factory Factory, the building's tenants were Big Bang Audio, who recorded artists such as George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, and Woody Rock from Dru Hill.

Jones Falls Trail (typically abbreviated JFT) is a hiking and bicycling trail in Baltimore, Maryland. It mostly runs along the length of the namesake Jones Falls, a major north–south stream in and north of the city that has long acted as a major transportation corridor for the city. It also incorporates the bike path encircling Druid Hill Reservoir and its namesake park. The Jones Falls Trail forms a segment of the East Coast Greenway, a partially completed network of off-road bicycling routes that runs the length of the East Coast.It is projected to extend from the Baltimore waterfront at the Inner Harbor north to the Mount Washington neighborhood, passing through Cylburn Arboretum and Mount Washington Arboretum. The Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks owns, manages, and maintains the trail.

Stony Run is a tributary stream of Jones Falls in Baltimore, Maryland. The stream headwaters are in north Baltimore near the city boundary. The stream flows southward about 3 miles (4.8 km) through several park areas - including Friends School of Batimore-and the neighborhood of Wyman Park, and enters a culvert before emptying into Jones Falls near Druid Hill Park.

Northern District Police Station is a historic police station located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a complex of interconnected buildings designed in the late Victorian/French Renaissance style consisting of a three-story main station house with a hipped roof and dormers; a connected two story building which had originally housed the cellblock; and a pair of hipped roof garages which were originally used as livery buildings. They are in turn connected to an L-shaped building consisting of the original clerestoried stable and flat roofed garage. The buildings encircle a courtyard which is now used as a parking lot. It was designed by Henry F. Brauns in 1899.Northern District Police Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

In Baltimore, Maryland, Miracle on 34th Street is a display of holiday lights that takes place annually on the 700 block of 34th Street (between Chestnut Avenue and Keswick Road in Baltimore's Hampden community. The display, which involves the residents of most of the houses on the block (with three-story rowhouses on the north side of the street and two-story ones with second-floor bay windows on the south side), started in 1947 (the same year that its namesake movie debuted), and takes place between late November and late December. The location becomes a major attraction for visitors from all over the area.The display prominently features Christmas trees of varying styles, trains, animated figures, Walt Disney cartoon characters, Hanukkah menorahs, artwork, and other various symbols of the holiday season, including a sea of Santas and Frosty the Snowmans.

Evergreen on the Falls, also known as the Snyder-Carroll House, is an historic 19th century home overlooking the Jones Falls valley and located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick mansion in a rural version of the Victorian Italianate style. A serious fire in the early 1970s destroyed the furnishings and most of the interior. It was built about 1860 and was the home of the supervisor of the Mount Vernon Mills, Albert H. Carroll. It is headquarters of the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.Evergreen on the Falls was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
