Pisarzowice [pisaʐɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubsza, within Brzeg County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Lubsza and 39 km (24 mi) north-west of the regional capital Opole.

Brzeg ([bʐɛk] ; Latin: Alta Ripa, German: Brieg, Silesian German: Brigg, Silesian: Brzeg, Brzyg, Czech: Břeh) is a town in southwestern Poland with 34,778 inhabitants (December 2021) and the capital of Brzeg County. It is situated in Silesia in the Opole Voivodeship on the left bank of the Oder river. The town of Brzeg was first mentioned as a trading and fishing settlement within fragmented Piast-ruled Poland in 1234. In 1248, Silesian Duke Henry III the White granted the settlement Magdeburg town rights and by the late 13th century the city became fortified. Sometimes referred to as "the garden town", the town's size greatly expanded after the construction of dwelling houses which were located on the city outskirts. From the early 14th to late 17th centuries, the town was ruled by the Piast dynasty as fiefs of the Bohemian Crown within the Holy Roman Empire. Later, as the result of the Silesian Wars, the town passed to Prussia, and from 1871 to 1945 it was also part of Germany, before it became again part of Poland after World War II.

Dobrzyń [ˈdɔbʐɨɲ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubsza, within Brzeg County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Lubsza, 1 km (1 mi) south-west of Brzeg, and 39 km (24 mi) north-west of the regional capital Opole.

Brzeg County (Polish: powiat brzeski [ˈpɔvʲat ˈbʐɛskʲi]) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Opole Voivodeship, south-western Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Brzeg, which lies 39 kilometres (24 mi) north-west of the regional capital Opole. The county also contains the towns of Grodków, lying 22 km (14 mi) south of Brzeg, and Lewin Brzeski, 17 km (11 mi) south-east of Brzeg. The county covers an area of 876.52 square kilometres (338.4 sq mi). As of 2019 its total population is 90,054, out of which the population of Brzeg is 35,890, that of Grodków is 8,595, that of Lewin Brzeski is 5,736, and the rural population is 39,833.

Holy Cross Church - a Roman Catholic parish church in Brzeg, in the Opole Voivodeship. The church belongs to the deanery of the North of Brzeg; Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Wrocław.

The Duchy of Brzeg (Polish: Księstwo Brzeskie) or Duchy of Brieg (German: Herzogtum Brieg; Czech: Knížectví břežské) was one of the Duchies of Silesia, created in 1311 during the fragmentation of the Duchy of Wrocław. A Bohemian fief from 1329, it was ruled by the Silesian Piasts until their extinction in 1675. Its capital was Brzeg in Lower Silesia.

Brzeg Town Hall is a Renaissance building designed by Bernard Niuron built between 1569 and 1577. It is considered to be one of the most important Renaissance monuments in Poland. In addition to its role as the seat of the municipal government of Brzeg, the building houses several other institutions.

St. Nicholas' Church in Bączal Dolny, Poland, is a Gothic church from the seventeenth-century. Since the 1970s, the church is part of the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok.The temple illustrates a typical Lesser Polish wooden church's architecture, and remains one of the most prized buildings of religious heritage in south-eastern Poland.The rector of the church from 1939 to 1948 was Florian Zając, a chaplain of the Home Army.

St. Nicholas' Church in Brzeg, Poland, is a Gothic basilica built in the fourteenth century. The church was built between 1370 and 1420 during the reign of Louis I of Brzeg. He built it on the site of a former brick building, mentioned in sources from 1279. The building was financed by the town's inhabitants and the prince. The town's noblemen commissioned the project to Wrocław's Master Gunther who had planned the city's churches of St. Mary Magdalene and St. Elizabeth.

Brzeg Synagogue - a former synagogue building, located in Brzeg, Poland. At the beginning of the sixteenth century a former synagogue building stood in the location of the present, but burnt down in 1507.The present day building of the synagogue was built by Jews from Biała, who settled in Brzeg in 1660. The first rabbi was recruited by the gmina in 1816. The building had undergone a major renovation in 1899, the second in 1937. During the Kristallnacht through November 9 to 10, 1938, the NSDAP members had destroyed the interior of the synagogue and publicly burnt the Torah. In 1940, the synagogue was reconstructed to serve as a residence.

Brzeg railway station is a station in Brzeg, Opole Voivodeship, Poland. The station is part of the Third Pan-European Corridor, linking Dresden - Wrocław - Kraków - Kyiv.In the years 2009–2010, the railway infrastructure of the station and a 4 km stretch of the adjoining lines was redeveloped. The investment totaled 154 million Polish złoty. The modernisation was completed on 12 January 2012. Both the interior and the exterior of the station itself were thoroughly renovated, at a cost of 4.2 million Polish złoty. The reopening of the railway station was celebrated on 9 February 2012.
