The Wind Engineering, Energy and Environment (WindEEE) Dome is a hexagonal-shaped vertical wind tunnel proposed for the University of Western Ontario. It is designed to simulate localized, high-intensity wind patterns such as downbursts and tornadoes that have never been studied before. The Wind Engineering, Energy and Environment Research Institute (WindEEE RI) was established in 2011. WindEEE is part of the new Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) where, together with other facilities (e.g. the Fraunhofer Project Centre and Western Accelerator Centre) will contribute to create an industry oriented research incubator at Western working with local, national and international partners. The WindEEE Institute already has an extensive national membership with more than 40 researchers from 18 universities across Canada. Internationally WindEEE collaborates with more than 30 Institutes across four continents. In October 2013, WindEEE RI organized its first "Wind Innovation Symposium" to which more than 100 participants from around the globe participated.

London Christian High, LCH or London Christian is a Christian private secondary school in London, Ontario. LCH was formed in 1965, and is governed by a membership-elected Board. It is a member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools, and follows the Province of Ontario education curriculum. LCH is a member school of the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association and of WOSSAA as well as OFSAA. LCH is categorized as an "A" school. The school rebranded to London Christian High in 2018 as the previous name was quite difficult to say. The school is also notoriously known for their mascot 'The LCH Pioneer' which makes them a great team to cheer for in sports events.

CJBX-FM is a radio station in London, Ontario. Owned by Bell Media, it broadcasts a country format. Its studios are located at 1 Communications Road, along with CIQM-FM and CFPL-DT while its transmitter is located on Cromarty Dr near Hwy 401 and Westchester Bourne east of London.

Clarke Road Secondary School is located at 300 Clarke Road in London, Ontario. It is a part of the Thames Valley District School Board. The school was founded in 1956 and a major 14 million dollar renovation was completed in 1997. The school mascot is the Trojan Warrior. Clarke Road's recent renovation has given the school state-of-the-art gymnasia, science, technology, and computer facilities. The school presently has over 400 computers available for student use in all programs in the school. The renovations have also provided a major developmental centre in the school, as well as integrated programs for over 50 students.

Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School or Laurier is a high school located at 450 Millbank Drive in the south east end of London, Ontario, Canada. The school is in the Thames Valley District School Board. The school has 1,114 students and 80 teachers and is named after Canadian Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier. The school colours are green and blue. It is one of two French immersion high schools in the area.

The Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) is a private career college in London, Ontario, Canada. The institute trains audio engineers for a variety of careers in music production, recording arts, audio engineering, sound recording and related fields. Founded in 1983 by engineer and producer Paul Steenhuis, the college focuses solely on sound. Graduates of the OIART program receive a Diploma in Audio Recording Technology.OIART has been described as "prestigious" and as "the Harvard of Audio Engineering" and attracts students from around the world.Although not accredited, the school is registered as legally required by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. OIART has the largest full-time faculty of any audio school in Canada.

The Forest City Velodrome is an indoor cycling facility in London, Ontario, Canada. The building was constructed in 1963 as the London Gardens, home to the London Knights ice hockey team. In 1994 it was renamed London Ice House. In early 2005 it was remodeled into the Forest City Velodrome by local cycling enthusiast and track racer Rob Good and Albert Coulier's Apollo Velodrome Systems company.It is one of two velodromes in Ontario and one of five indoor cycling facilities in all North America. The Forest City Velodrome is the shortest permanent velodrome in the world, measuring 138 metres with 50-degree bankings and 17-degree straights. The Forest City Velodrome runs several programs designed to encourage recreational cycling and develop competitive cyclists. Learn to ride programs introduce new riders to track cycling. Organized drills help cyclists hone their skills. Frequent recreational sessions give riders of various skill levels time to ride on the track for fun, fitness and training. Periodic race nights develop racing skills and give spectators the chance to learn about and enjoy track cycling events. In 2013, the track hosted the Ontario Provincial Track Championships.The building that is now called the Forest City Velodrome has gone through many alterations over the years. One of its more famous moments took place in February 1968 when Johnny Cash proposed to June Carter on stage during a performance.

Westminster refers to both a neighbourhood in the City of London, Ontario, Canada, and a much larger area within which the neighbourhood lands have been situated. The neighbourhood of Westminster is immediately north of Highway 401, and east of Wellington Road. The majority of its residents live in low-density, single detached dwellings. The remaining residents live in row house dwellings. As of 2011, the area is home to 11,385 residents. The neighbourhood is considered a middle-income area, with an average family income of $73,207, an average dwelling value of $216,133 and a home ownership rate of 88%.Historically, Westminster first referred to a rural township, after which the neighbourhood was named.

The London Ice House was an arena in London, Ontario, Canada. It was originally built in 1963 and was home to the London Knights ice hockey team from 1965 to 2002. The design was influenced by the first level of the Boston Garden, and had a capacity of approximately 5,000. The arena was originally named Treasure Island Gardens as the building was a part of the Treasure Island Plaza mall complex located in south London. For a time, the arena also included a second ice pad.In 1994, the London Knights and the building were purchased by new owner Doug Tarry, who renamed building as the London Ice House. Tarry upgraded the building in 1994, including replacing the seats on the sides and adding more emergency exits to bring the building up to the fire code. In the years following the refurbishment, Tarry allowed the building to deteriorate as part of his lobbying the city for a new arena, given that it was the only arena in the OHL without municipal assistance, and was charged taxes in excess of $125,000 per year by 1999. The London Knights underwent a renaissance after being purchased by Dale and Mark Hunter. The team left the Gardens/Ice House after the 2001–02 season and relocated to the newly built John Labatt Centre in Downtown London.

Dorchester is a town in Ontario whose name first applied to the township and honours Sir Guy Carleton, Lord Dorchester (1724-1808). The name was changed from Dorchester Station on May 3, 1961. Dorchester is the residential and commercial core of the municipality of Thames Centre, in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, a few kilometres directly east of the city of London, Ontario. According to the 2016 census, the town has a population of 3,911.The local arena underwent a $10 million expansion and opened on November 2, 2010. This expansion added a second NHL-sized ice pad, a gymnasium, and many other facilities to go along with upgrades to the existing part. It is now home to the Dorchester Dolphins Junior C hockey team. Much of the funding raised was done by local events such as Raise the Roof and TC Rocks, an outdoor concert. Inspired by the 1989 movie "Field of Dreams", Thames Centre is currently constructing a new outdoor recreation centre complex at 3245 Hamilton Rd. The new recreation centre will have a baseball diamond, three full size soccer pitches, two mini-pitches, a pond, and a proposed clubhouse. The total cost is an estimated $200,000. In the master plan, the municipality wishes to make the recreation centre in recognition of the need for children, youths, adults, masters, and people with disabilities.
