Deutsche Post AG, trading as Deutsche Post DHL Group, is a German multinational package delivery and supply chain management company headquartered in Bonn, Germany. It is one of the world's largest courier companies. The postal division delivers 61 million letters each day in Germany, making it Europe's largest such company. The Parcel division DHL is a wholly owned subsidiary claimed to be present in over 220 countries and territories.Deutsche Post DHL Group is the successor to the German mail authority Deutsche Bundespost, which was privatized in 1995 and became a fully independent company in 2000. Since its privatization, Deutsche Post has significantly expanded its business area through acquisitions. In late 2014, the group acquired StreetScooter GmbH, a small manufacturer of electric vehicles. Two years later, the group acquired UK Mail, a business-focused postal service in the UK for US$315.5 million (£243 million). The former company became a division of the Deutsche Post European parcel network.The 2016 earnings of Deutsche Post DHL Group before interest and taxes (EBIT) was €3.491 billion (up 44.8 percent over 2015), with a net profit of €2.64 billion on revenue of €57.334 billion. Return on equity, before taxes, was 27.7 percent. The group's long term credit rating, in November 2016, was BBB+ with a Stable outlook per Fitch's.Deutsche Post AG is listed on the Börse Frankfurt (Frankfurt Stock Exchange) as DPW and is in the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index. In 2016, 20.5% of the group's shares were held by the state-owned KfW bank; 79.5% were freely floating: 65.6% held by institutional and 10.8% by private investors.

The Schürmann-Bau is an office building in the Gronau district of Bonn, completed in 2002. It's named after its architect Joachim Schürmann. The building houses the headquarters of the Deutsche Welle, after being originally planned as an office building for the members of the Bundestag. The construction site was heavily damaged in December 1993 by a flood of the Rhine river, since there was no existing flood control. In 1997, the damaged building was renovated with an estimated cost of nearly 700 million euros, and is considered one of the most expensive buildings in German post-war history.

Langer Eugen (English: "Tall Eugene") is an office tower in the Gronau district of Bonn, Germany. It was built between 1966 and 1969. Since 2006 it has housed several United Nations organizations. Until the German Bundestag (parliament) moved to Berlin in 1999, the building was the primary location for the offices of the members of the Bundestag. After renovations, eleven UN organizations moved into the building and it began serving as the center of the UN Campus, Bonn. Langer Eugen is protected as a landmark or listed building under the North Rhine-Westphalia Monument Protection Law. It is currently the second-tallest building in Bonn and the 43rd tallest building in Germany (excluding non-habitable structures such as radio and observation towers, steeples, and chimneys). When it was built it was briefly the second-tallest building in Germany, behind the Bayer-Hochhaus.

The Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods (German: Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung von Gemeinschaftsgütern) is located in Bonn, Germany. It is one of 80 institutes in the Max Planck Society. The institute focuses its study on law, economics and politics of collective goods.

The UN Campus in Bonn, Germany, is seat to 18 organizations of the United Nations. It was opened in July 2006 by then-Secretary-General Kofi Annan and then-Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and expanded in July 2013. The UN Campus is owned by the Institute for Federal Real Estate and used rent-free by the United Nations. The 2017 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 23) was held on 6–17 November 2017 there and in World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB), near the UNFCCC secretariat, for the Republic of Fiji.

Ollenhauerstraße is one of the stations located at the Deutsche Telekom Building. This station is served by the Bonn Stadtbahn.

The Bundeshaus (Federal House) is a building complex in Bonn, Germany, which served as the Provisional Parliament House of West Germany, and thus the seat of the German Bundestag and Bundesrat, from 1949 until 1999. The main building, constructed between 1930 and 1933, served as a Pedagogical Academy until the end of the Second World War. After the resolution of the Hauptstadtfrage (Capital Question) in 1949 in favor of Bonn, the structure was converted into the provisional seat of the Bundestag and Bundesrat. For over forty years it served as the seat of both constitutional bodies. The Bundeshaus was expanded and renovated numerous times until these institutions were transferred to Berlin after the Hauptstadtbeschluss (Capital Resolution) in 1999, nine years after the German reunification. The parliamentary chamber then became the "Internationale Kongresszentrum Bundeshaus Bonn", now known as the "World Conference Center Bonn", in which national and international conferences take place. The southern part of the building is to become the headquarters of the Climate Secretariat of the United Nations as part of the "UN-Campus", including the former Abgeordnetenhochhaus and the office block known as "Langer Eugen" (Tall Eugene, nickname of Eugen Gerstenmaier, former President of the Bundestag). The Haus der Geschichte provides an opportunity to book tours and to visit the former Bundesrat.

Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany) is one of the most visited museums in Germany. Known as the Bundeskunsthalle for short, it is part of the so-called "Museum Mile" in Bonn. It holds exhibitions relating to art and cultural history from around the world. The museum is backed by the Federal Government and the States of Germany. The museum's director is Eva Kraus, a position she has held since 1 August 2020. Construction of the museum started in 1989 and was completed in 1992. The museum is located next to the Bonn Museum of Modern Art.

The Kunstmuseum Bonn or Bonn Museum of Modern Art is an art museum in Bonn, Germany, founded in 1947. The Kunstmuseum exhibits both temporary exhibitions and its collection. Its collection is focused on Rhenish Expressionism and post-war German art. It is part of Bonn's "Museum Mile".

Heussallee/Museumsmeile is a station on the Bonn Stadtbahn served by SWB lines 63, 66, 67 and 68 and KVB's line 16. It is an important station in Bonn's Stadtbahn network as the station is used heavily by commuters who work in nearby offices. Close to Heussallee/Museumsmeile is World Conference Center Bonn as well as the headquarters of Deutsche Post DHL Group and Deutsche Welle and offices of the United Nations. Additionally, the second seats of office of the German president (Villa Hammerschmidt) and the German chancellor (Palais Schaumburg) are located there. The former Federal Chancellery is now used by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development as its main office. Nonetheless, the station is also used by people interested in the arts and culture. Heussallee/Museumsmeile serves Bundeskunsthalle (Federal Art Exhibition Hall), Kunstmuseum Bonn (Art Museum Bonn) and Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (House of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany).

Olof-Palme-Allee is the final stop on the Bonn Stammstrecke in Germany. Lines 66 and 68 beyond that point do not continue to Bad Godesberg, but on the Siebengebirgsbahn towards Ramersdorf and Bad Honnef.

The Bonn–Oberkassel train ferry was a German train ferry operated by the Rhenish Railway Company from 1870 to connect its right and left Rhine railways. It was the last of six train ferries to begin operations across the Rhine in Germany and the second to last to close.
