The Pearre-Metcalfe House is a historic home located at New Windsor, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. It is a brick Greek Revival style farmhouse, built about 1859. There is a small, brick springhouse with corbeled brick cornice and tin roof on the property.The Pearre-Metcalfe House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Kitterman–Buckey Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Johnsville, Frederick County, Maryland. It is the remnant of the farm that was established by the German immigrant Christopher Kitterman in 1752, and which remained in the Root/Buckey family from 1790 to 1919. The main house was built about 1752 and is two stories in height. It is composed of two halves, built probably 40 to 50 years apart, and united under a low-sloping slate roof with three chimneys, with additions made in the 19th century and again in the 1950s and 1980s. Also on the property are a springhouse and cabin / smokehouse both dating to about 1752, a machine shed, horse barn built about 1930, a bank barn built about 1850, and a silo from 1934.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Drummine Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at New Market, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. The main house was constructed about 1790 and is a 2+1⁄2-story structure of uncoursed fieldstone. The house retains Georgian stylistic influences in exterior and interior decorative detailing. The farm complex structures include a stone tenant house dated 1816, and four additional fieldstone buildings from the early 19th century: a smokehouse, a water storage house, a garden outhouse, and a large bank barn. Wooden farm buildings include a calf shed and a wagon shed with corn cribs from the late 19th century, a dairy barn with three cement stave silos from the 1930s, several sheds and garages, and a large pole barn.The Drummine Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Pipe Creek Friends Meetinghouse is an historic Friends meeting house located at Union Bridge, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. It is a 1+1⁄2-story brick structure in Flemish bond on a stone foundation. The meetinghouse was begun in 1771 and completed the next year. A fire in October 1934 destroyed the interior, but the original benches were saved. The founders of the meetinghouse were immigrants from the north of Ireland. It was the Quaker meetinghouse attended by a great-grandfather of President Herbert Hoover.The Pipe Creek Friends Meetinghouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Linganore AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in north central Maryland and includes parts of Frederick and Carroll counties. The area is a part of the Piedmont Plateau northwest of Baltimore, a transition area between the mountains to the west and the coastal plain to the east. Linganore has a warm and wet climate, with gravel and loam soils. The hardiness zones are 7a and 6b. The area was designated by Jack Aellen of Linganore Winecellars in 1983, after recognizing the growing interest in regionally produced wines. Jack Aellen worked to establish the first federally designated grape growing area in Maryland, the Linganore Viticultural Area, which encompasses 90 square miles of land around the winery in the heart of Maryland.

Parr's Ridge is a ridge which forms the summit of the Piedmont Plateau region in the U.S. state of Maryland. The ridge, a gentle summit in contrast to Maryland's Appalachian ridges to the west, extends from southwest to northeast through Montgomery, Howard and Carroll counties. The highest point in Maryland east of the Appalachian Mountains, Dug Hill in northern Carroll County, at an elevation of just over 1100 feet (335 m), is a mile or two to the west of the ridge. The Patuxent and Patapsco rivers both have headwaters on the ridge. The South branch of the Patapsco's headwaters point is dubbed Parr's Spring, and is the meeting point of four of Maryland's counties: Howard, Carroll, Montgomery, and Frederick. The Spring is submerged beneath a pond on the grounds of the eponymous "Four-County Farm." The area was surveyed by John Parr in 1744, patenting the land as "Parr's Range". David McMurtrie Gregg marched his troops through the area during the civil war on the way to Gettysburg.Maryland State Route 27 follows the course of Parr's Ridge. Communities along Parr's Ridge include, from south to north, Damascus, Mount Airy (where Interstate 70 crosses the ridge), Westminster, Cranberry, Manchester, and Lineboro.

Hard Lodging is a historic home located at Union Bridge, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. It is built on a small cliff overlooking the site where its first owner, Solomon Shepherd, had a mill that is no longer standing. The house was built in three stages: the middle section, a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure, was probably built first; the main section of the house is attached to the west and is a Federal-style, three-by-two-bay, 2+1⁄2-story house with an interior gable-end chimney. Hard Lodging is currently a private residence and is no longer owned by the Historical Society. The home is an example of Pennsylvania German architecture. Hard Lodging was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Union Bridge Historic District is a national historic district at Union Bridge, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The district consists of this small piedmont village, which serves the area as a market center for the surrounding agricultural area. The greatest growth occurred in the 1880s after the Western Maryland Railway built its shops here.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Union Bridge is a town in Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The population was 936 at the 2020 census.Much of the town was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Union Bridge Historic District in 1994.
